guys, i am not an angel though sometimes it may appear so Angel Not:

i do not have a supertarget so i have to go to what seems to be the strictest supermarket in the country from what i've seen. thankfully at least mine doubles up to 99¢ so it's still the best supermarket for deals in the area. they made it on the pilot of extreme couponing and will be in the premier on april 6th.

they print the coupon policy on the bottom of each wk's circular and in january they came out w/ a corporate coupon policy that amongst other things says-
We reserve the right to refuse any coupon for "free" product, "buy one get one free" offers, and those with a high value in relationship to the item's price.

if anybody is interested, here is the rest of it-
http://www.shoprite.com/cnt/CouponPolicy.html

they've always limited to doubling 4 like coupons, now made the accepting 4 like coupons the corporate policy and procter & gamble has followed their lead.

we always get newbies coming into deals especially when something is hot. you know the place is going to be crawling w/ them till (checks when the pf bogo exp)... 6/30.

i believe you should know what the rules and regulations are. that goes for anything. i have couponed since b4 they had barcodes so i've actually dealt with the wording on coupons for decades. yes, i have couponed for decades. there are always going to be those newbies who learn to do target and then go to another store and whine, *it works at target, why can't i do it at XXXXX? it's really annoying in my supermarket thread. it's like Nono1 all the time and people complaining how strict they are. we don't like it that they've now gotten even stricterMad! they now don't have to accept free, bogos and high value q's at their discretion! we do a lot of complaining over there!

as long as you know the rules and regulations, regardless of the coding, what you do after that is your own business. i am not the coupon police.

but if somebody doesn't know and asks, i'm not going to tell them shenanigans. target is nice and all but it doesn't put food on my table and i need to protect that. target is for fun. i have to eat.

so pls, if people ask in deals, pls, pls, pls tell them the right way, not your way. (mine too sometimes Smilie) your way and my way needs to be on the DL. it should now be the mod's way.

tia!

I was sad to bid farewell to some good TQ today.. I have enjoyed all of my free jeans, free floss, and almost free ibuprofen..

Please target, give us some great new coupons tomorrow.. How about the 5.00 kids clothing, barbie, leapfrog, or maybe a patio coupon.. and definitely some produce and meat coupons too Smilie

picked more expensive frames.. plus the progressive lens, plus a few other things and ended up costing almost 500 dollars EEK!
Have you considered ordering online? I got progressive no line bifocals, rimless frames with magnetic sunglasses, an extra pair of the sunglasses (2 total), non reflective coating for under $100 shipped. It was seventy something at Zenni Optical.

This is my second pair of bifocals from them and my mom has ordered a pair from them. Satisfied with all of them.

Yeah, I thought we could have gotten cheaper.. but, he went ahead and ordered on the spot Frown
So, now we are kinda stuck.. His mom even told him he could have gotten cheaper.
He got them there thinking the insurance he had would help.. honestly the only thing it seems to help with is the free eye examshake head

Maybe I should have him ask for a prescription when he goes back and he could order a backup pair online? I am assuming he needs some kind of script to get them right?

*laugh* I just got done checking that out also. I think some folks don't always factor in that cost... they just think "Hey, I got overage on this!! Woooo-hoo!"

For me, I have to sit there and go "okay, the item is X.XX, then you add tax, then you add the coupon price + shipping, and of course, there's the time to actually go running around and finding the deal" etc... (because, you know, they can't just give you free shipping when they are already gouging you - they may as well make the wound deeper...) So once you add all that up and subtract the q - is it worth it?

:Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
shake head Not worth it just from reading it no less doing it. LOL

That is too funny about Mavis and the shoes that don't work . I hope they were keds she can sue for non performance... LMAO
(do they still make you jump higher ,run faster etc ....laugh out loud

If you call first thing Monday mornning you may be able to cancel them -- especially since tomorrow is Sunday.

Yes, get his Rx. You don't have to send it in or anything like that but you need to know what correction he needs so you know what to order.

The other thing you will need to know is the PD = pupil distance. That usually isn't on the Rx but they will have it since you ordered glasses. You know that funny thing you look in for just a second as you are ordering glasses? That's it. If you feel weird asking them for it -- and you shouldn't -- just pop in to any Wal-Mart optical and ask them to measure it for you.

I was leery of ordering bifocals online. Of course you hear bifocals have to line up just right, they are sooo precise, etc. Well, phooey. I'm sure to a point that's true but many people, even right here at SD order online regularly and have no problems.

Hey ladies! A little birdie told me yall were asking about me! I am good, in the "land of no targets" Frown

Don't know where I left off with yall...hmmm twins turned 1 on the 16th. Things ended very badly between me and their parents. I had the twins at 33w and then the parents basically abandoned me, and fired me from my FT job and kicked me outta my house. My kidneys failed a week after delivery from the fluid retention and they said they didn't feel like they had to "take care of me" anymore. I was at home alone with no vehicle and called them to take me to the ER cause I didn't know what else to do...I guess at that point I realized i was just a means to an end and the whole thing was full of fake emotion from them.

anyway, i have healed emotionally and mentally now. I am happy, finally. I would be happier if I had a dang target...or 20
OMG

You gave them TWO precious gifts they either couldn't or wouldn't have and this is how they treated you? Nono1 SHAME on them.

I would never do what you did (have someone's baby to give away), but I admire you for giving folks that can't have children the opportunity to be parents.

I was thinking about you while I was driving home from Nashville today, as my oldest Nephew's wife is pregnant.

I had a nice day with my family in Nashville. Oldest Nephew graduated Valedictorian of his college class :proudsmiley: Then the whole gang of us went to lunch/supper at Logan's. Eating with over 50 folks, mostly relatives, is interesting! I do need to turn in my SD badge though, as I was in Harris Teeter town and they were super doubling but I decided not to go, as I wanted to get home before the tornados blew the car off the road.
