RETIRED: Target chit chat

Binge Baking.

Been to town and back. Stopped at the lake with Heidi for the first time this spring. The ice finally melted and the car fell through either last Monday or a week ago Monday.

This dog is ball crazy but I don't have one in the car. I have a doggy Frisbee -- it's a really soft rubbery material that won't hurt their mouth if it smashes in. She didn't like it last year, but what the heck, I didn't have a ball. I threw it. She caught it and promptly carried it to the lake and dropped it in. I fished it back out and threw it again. My aim is horrible. It flew right out in the lake. Now, mind you, this is a $7 dog toy and I am cheap. It finally floated close enough that I could snag it with a 6' tree limb. Got it back, threw it again -- this time NOT in the lake. Damn dog fetched it, ran straight at me with it, veered left, shook her head and flung it back in the lake. I will be putting a ball in the van.

I'm on my last 17-20 lb. bag of dog food. I have some more Pedigree $3 coupons and a rain check from Target ($4) + most food is cheaper at Wal-Mart so I suppose an out of town trip is in my future. Those 9 little bags of Pedigree won't last long so might as well hit WM too. I'm good on soft food for the Chihuahua for quite a while yet, but I sure hope there is another deal before we run out.

Furnace fan isn't kicking on like it should, so I'm waiting for the furnace guy to come. Guess I should go down and tidy up a bit. Furnace is in son's room. Son's room is currently the dumping ground for everything while we are working on building the family room. Oh, it looks really nice.

FYI - 3 Targets in the Reading PA area, and they are nice and friendly. Not sure where you are, or if its easier, but there is an Ikea in Plymouth Meeting PA, about 45 mins from Reading. Hope that helps.

Mini Thrift just showed me a spot on her foot. Told her it's a plantar wart. She said ewwwww and googled it. I've always known warts are caused by viruses but plantar warts are caused by HPV and are most common in children 12-16. Mini's had the HPV vaccine so we're both

I believe the vaccine only covers 4 strains of the virus.

The Hasbro thing is online also. I downloaded the .pdf for it. I've already mailed in a few receipts. For publix this week I'm getting a bunch of free fruit snacks from the b1g1 betty crocker peelie and that's pretty much it. Next week Sabra hummus is b1g1.

I'm not too concerned with the plantar wart. Just didn't know it was caused by HPV. When Mini had her physical before HS in San Diego they said she'd get the vacs/boosters that she needed at that time. Then after everything was said and done they told us she also rec'd the HPV vac. Ummm, I thought that was optional as in something I approve and ask for. So I don't know a whole lot about the vac or HPV for that matter. I was a little peeved at Kaiser for their administering an optional vac without my consent first.

Taking JJ to T for portraits (damn T and your $50 cert that expires 3/31! But I can stack coupons) at 10. He's going to wear his Easter suit which I got at T last year for 75% off. It's khakis, a blue sport coat, a little tie and a pink oxford. I'm sure Papi is gonna love the pink shirt on him.

Later this afternoon I see my reg ob and he'll schedule the induction. I hope it's Sat as that works best for childcare and J's work sched.

ok, i gotta get up and get dressed. been up all night with pain/difficulty breathing. frustrated i went for a shower early am figuring the hot water might help. it did a bit, but i'm so tired i've been half lying on the couch wrapped in a towel for several hours now.

That Vaccine only protects from the cancer causing HPVs

I thought it was 6 but it is the more dangerous of them.

Two HPV vaccines are currently on the market: Gardasil and Cervarix. Both vaccines protect against the two HPV types (HPV-16 and HPV-18) that cause 70% of cervical cancers, and cause some other genital cancers; Gardasil also protects against the two HPV types (HPV-6 and HPV-11) that cause 90% of genital warts. In addition, Gardasil has been shown to prevent potential precursors to anal, vulvar, vaginal, and penile cancers. HPV vaccines are expected to protect against HPV induced cancers of these areas as well as HPV induced oral cancers.
