Been to town and back. Stopped at the lake with Heidi for the first time this spring. The ice finally melted and the car fell through either last Monday or a week ago Monday.

This dog is ball crazy but I don't have one in the car. I have a doggy Frisbee -- it's a really soft rubbery material that won't hurt their mouth if it smashes in. She didn't like it last year, but what the heck, I didn't have a ball. I threw it. She caught it and promptly carried it to the lake and dropped it in. I fished it back out and threw it again. My aim is horrible. It flew right out in the lake. Now, mind you, this is a $7 dog toy and I am cheap. It finally floated close enough that I could snag it with a 6' tree limb. Got it back, threw it again -- this time NOT in the lake. Damn dog fetched it, ran straight at me with it, veered left, shook her head and flung it back in the lake. I will be putting a ball in the van.

I'm on my last 17-20 lb. bag of dog food. I have some more Pedigree $3 coupons and a rain check from Target ($4) + most food is cheaper at Wal-Mart so I suppose an out of town trip is in my future. Those 9 little bags of Pedigree won't last long so might as well hit WM too. I'm good on soft food for the Chihuahua for quite a while yet, but I sure hope there is another deal before we run out.

Furnace fan isn't kicking on like it should, so I'm waiting for the furnace guy to come. Guess I should go down and tidy up a bit. Furnace is in son's room. Son's room is currently the dumping ground for everything while we are working on building the family room. Oh, it looks really nice. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)shake head

Are you saying the car fell threw the ice ??EEK! In a Lake ??

See I found one for ya couldn't resist pertaning to the above grammatical threw and through.Smilie Plz don't put me on ignore. lol

Speaking of threw , no way I'm fishing a dog toy out of frigid waters,
was heidi doing the evil laugh ? LMAO Who was that cartoon dog with the evil snicker ?

It's nice you two got some out and about time.

I'm talkin to mine self , ahhh well can't sleep.

FYI - 3 Targets in the Reading PA area, and they are nice and friendly. Not sure where you are, or if its easier, but there is an Ikea in Plymouth Meeting PA, about 45 mins from Reading. Hope that helps.
Yeah, I lived in Reading for a bit, went to Kutztown. I used to work at the Outback steakhouse in Wyomissing and would shop that T over there. We are technically only going to Sinking Springs to get the Trailer then right out of there (we hate it!) and going back towards home right thru DC and stopping at that Ikea. I wasn't planning on hitting any Ts but now you might have talked me into it. I was going to try to stop at BRU and BCFs all along the ways. and iff I recall BRU is in the same shopping center as T in Wyomissing.

When we lived in to Poconos for a live-in job at a hunting and fish club we re-did the empolyees house kitchen with Ikea from Phili, they didn't keep the kitchen on site, it was a big deal drive all the way to the store to place the order then alllll the way back home them come weeks later to a warehouse in a scary, scary section of town to pick up the boxes - ugh! was barely worth it.

Mini Thrift just showed me a spot on her foot. Told her it's a plantar wart. She said ewwwww and googled it. I've always known warts are caused by viruses but plantar warts are caused by HPV and are most common in children 12-16. Mini's had the HPV vaccine so we're both Confused3

Dontknow
That Vaccine only protects from the cancer causing HPVs

Thanks for the info BBlue! heart

Iagree I believe the vaccine only covers 4 strains of the virus.
I thought it was 6 but it is the more dangerous of them.

Ank hug hope everything goes well with B's oral surgery!

I'm not too concerned with the plantar wart. Just didn't know it was caused by HPV. When Mini had her physical before HS in San Diego they said she'd get the vacs/boosters that she needed at that time. Then after everything was said and done they told us she also rec'd the HPV vac. Ummm, I thought that was optional as in something I approve and ask for. Annoyed So I don't know a whole lot about the vac or HPV for that matter. I was a little peeved at Kaiser for their administering an optional vac without my consent first.

Taking JJ to T for portraits (damn T and your $50 cert that expires 3/31! But I can stack coupons) at 10. He's going to wear his Easter suit which I got at T last year for 75% off. It's khakis, a blue sport coat, a little tie and a pink oxford. Teehee I'm sure Papi is gonna love the pink shirt on him. Teehee

Later this afternoon I see my reg ob and he'll schedule the induction. I hope it's Sat as that works best for childcare and J's work sched.

The Hasbro thing is online also. I downloaded the .pdf for it. I've already mailed in a few receipts. For publix this week I'm getting a bunch of free fruit snacks from the b1g1 betty crocker peelie and that's pretty much it. Next week Sabra hummus is b1g1. yummy
Yeah, I realized it was online after searching this site. Bummer, thought I found a gem. Coverlaugh

heart Sabra Hummus. I like the olive a lot and the garlic. The artichoke is yummy too. Must get a variety!!

Have you found any fruit snack peelies recently?

I have (2) coupons for FREE Silk product if someone is interested in a trade. I am looking for any rice dream coupons.

This one involves EBay, Groupon, and Swagbucks and YMMV . It worked for me and I since I planned to buy the EBay Groupon any way it was worth it to me to try it. But again YMMV.

I paid $7.00 for a $15.00 EBay credit and got 160 swagbucks. Here is what I did.

1. Go to Special Offers, select Trial Pay then select any one of the Groupon special offers for your area. Click through until you get to the Groupon offer.

2. Go to https://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2794073 and select the Groupon for EBay and proceed with purchasing the Groupon for the EBay credit. I got the swagbucks in less than 30 minutes.

Good luck!!!Wink

Wave morning.. I am here now.. I didn't get on SD first thing this morning as usual EEK! I was snuggling in my bed with my toddler.. She watched cartoons and snuggled with me under the warm covers for almost an hour.. At 10 am, I figured, it was time to get up.. So, I started the Keurig and loaded the dishwasher.. That may be as productive as I get today Teehee

Yep, I would be very upset if someone gave my child a vaccine without my consent!

Okay, care to share the portrait dealio.. I need to take my 3 year old for pictures..

Good luck at the OB hug

Thanks.. I may check it out.. I kinda gave up on SB cause it seemed like I wasn't ever earning any for searches anymore and I always miss the codes unless someone posts in one of the threads I read.

Well there are 2 types of this vaccine out there. Here is what wikipedia says:

Quote :
Two HPV vaccines are currently on the market: Gardasil and Cervarix. Both vaccines protect against the two HPV types (HPV-16 and HPV-18) that cause 70% of cervical cancers, and cause some other genital cancers; Gardasil also protects against the two HPV types (HPV-6 and HPV-11) that cause 90% of genital warts. In addition, Gardasil has been shown to prevent potential precursors to anal, vulvar, vaginal, and penile cancers. HPV vaccines are expected to protect against HPV induced cancers of these areas as well as HPV induced oral cancers.
The drug reps have been really hitting the clinics hard around here pitching their respective vaccines. J had to listen to a lot of info presented by them and he can spew it out in his sleep now laugh out loud I was kinda glad though bc we had just decided to get the vaccine for Alexa, so he had heard a lot and done a lot of research on these, so I feel we were better able to make an informed decision about which one to get and if it was worth a 'new' vaccine.

Kaiser did that to me when Soph was born! Gave her some vaccines at the hospital without my permission! Annoyed I mean I would have said yes, but still!

GT - your dog is smarter than a lot of people I know.
She's a little smart a$$ is what she is. The chihuahua has a bed. I put it in our bedroom at night and then bring it back out in the living room during the day. This morning there was a lovely spot of sun shining into the room so I laid the bed in the sunshine instead of against the wall where it goes. Heidi pulled the blanket out of it then picked up the bed and flipped it upside down. Poor chihuahua doesn't quite know what to do. She is standing there looking at me, looking at her bed, looking back at me...

Are you saying the car fell threw the ice ??EEK! In a Lake ??
That be zactly what I'm sayin'. Dropped right threw it. But it's on purpose. The lake freezes in the winter (as does the river and everything else up here). They put a car that has had all the fluids, etc. removed out on the ice. Then people pick a date and time that the car will fall through the water and buy a chance. It's a fundraiser.

It is common for people to drive vehicles out on the ice to fish all winter long. And it still looks funny.

Peeved wouldn't even come close to covering it for me. Technically all vaccines are optional but a consent for all necessary vaccines is gonna get everything they can shove in a syringe.

I had a similar experience that made me mad. I needed a tetanus shot (ran a nail in my foot) and went in and requested a tetanus shot. She gave me a tetanus/pertussis vaccine without telling me until after the fact that it contained the pertussis vaccine also. As furious as I was over the pertussis (which I would have consented to) I can imagine how furious you were over the HPV. I think I would have come unglued over that one.

p.s. I fixed the chihuahua bed. She is happily snuggled in.
