My Keurig is short cupping, as they call it. Doesn't dispense enough water for the size selected.

Good news is they are sending me another machine. I just have to mail back the k-cup holder from the old machine. I bought this one in July 2010.

I have used vinegar to clean it out twice and cleaned the little needle.
Mine does that, but it's very rare, and then the next cup will fill to the proper size. Do you ever get a K-cup that has gone bad for some reason? This morning I brewed my cup and went to add the cream. Well it looked like a cup of sludge, it was full of grains. I think most of the grounds from the K-cup ended up in my cup, gross! I ran a cup of just water, then the next one brewed fine.

I used the vinegar cleaning method a few months ago, and it wasn't bad at all. I feared my house being taken over by the smell of vinegar, but it wasn't. Glad they are sending you a new unit.

Hi all! Just popping in to ay hi! I am stressed. I work full-time and my house is a MESS and I have a First Communion lunch planned for May 15. EEK!

I am having a meat/cheese tray for sandwiches.Anyone have any suggestions for good and easy side dishes that I can make? I am looking for something that I can make a day (or 2) in advance and either warm up that morning or serve right from the fridge. We will be in church right before so I don't want to be cooking that day. Any advance from you al would be much appreciated....oh and even better if I can buy everything from Target Wink
I would suggest Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts, everybody just loves them. Problem is, they do take a while to assemble and bake. You can prepare them the night before but they do take a long time to bake. If you have someone who wants to bring something, maybe you could suggest these. If they bake them in the morning, and then bring them over, they should retain most of their heat. They go very fast at any gatheing I've been at that serves them.

I have so had it with this kid and the fits, etc. Sadwalk And I swear that gymnastics class WEARS her OUT big time....more than a day at the park or playing outside, etc, etc. I don't know what it is; it's not like they're moving around for the entire 45 min...they do one activity, sit and wait their turn, etc....it doesn't appear to be THAT physically tiring --- I mean to the point where she is melting down an hr. later due to being tired (considering she doesn't normally take a nap anymore Dontknow I've tried to make sure she is ultra-well-rested before Tues. mornings.

Ugh. Head Bang

Anytime there is some sort of coupon thing with comments there are two things that ALWAYS show up that drive me bat shit crazy.

1. " Coupons are only for bad full of sugar processed not good for you food....*snip*

2. "She bought 473 boxes of cereal but it's ok because she gave a whole bunch to the food bank" OR worse yet "It's horrible that she bought 473 and didn't give any of it away". It's either alright to buy 437 boxes or it isn't. It doesn't matter what you do with it after you buy it. *snip*

Thank you. worship

I particularly hate #1. I have NO problem being able to get healthy stuff for my family. You just have to think outside the box. I think that is a seemingly good excuse for some people who just really don't want to put the effort and time into it.....not to mention the average American family eats WAY worse IMO than how we eat with our 'coupon food.' It's not a problem that's exclusive to families who coupon.

Well and I hate #2 too but you all know why...Roll

But I am quite possibly very grumpy and hateful today due to the fact that I've wasted all of my energy tending to this angel-turned-hellion 3-yr-old Teehee

I was afraid of that too the first time but pleasantly surprised that it wasn't nearly as bad as when my dh cleans out the regular coffee pot with vinegar Yuk

w/ all of the hullabaloo w/ j'ailme/thievadiva, just out of curiosity, i'm wondering how many people here turned to couponing from economic necessity and how many people learned it from when they were young b/c it was something their family did? (i was going to say mom's but i decided that was prejudiced.)

in other words, was couponing self-taught or was it passed down from your parents?

All joking aside...She did a great job!! You really should be proud of her. For being self taught on the guitar, she did awesome.

It's either alright to buy 437 boxes or it isn't. It doesn't matter what you do with it after you buy it. Giving it away doesn't make it any better or worse. It's my 437 boxes of cereal and I can eat it, give it away, let it rot, or roll naked in it. It doesn't matter, it's MINE. USE isn't the issue.

I know you said she no longer naps but have you tried whether she would nap after her class..Or maybe incorporate quiet time, where you put her down, she can choose to do whatever she wants in her room, in her bed...Or the last thing that is my favorite, just snuggle with them on the couch, you get some rest and I am sure she will either pass out or be well relaxed...

Yes... glad it's not anything major. Though, I am now tempted to go into "no doctor visits unless there is a profuse loss of blood or loss of consciousness" mode.

Ank, did you try giving her a bath to get her fever down...And I am not telling you to listen to me but out first ped always said as long as the kid is responsive, all is good...I am not saying to ignore such a high fever but just saying it to relax you...i think I am not making sense, ignore me..I am going to take a nap with the kids...

I know you are tempted to do that, but, better to safe. Try to think of it as a blessing that all came back normal.

You are making sense. This is always something I did when my kiddo's had a temp. They always went into the tub. If they were to sick for the tub, I always gave them a sponge bath. Your advise is sound.

Like Mot2 said, couponing is new for us. Can you imagine I paid full $$$ for my DS#1 baby items including travel system and everything. We never even knew about babiesrus coupons Frown
I learnt it all by myself when the up & up baby wipes TQ came out, only then I knew about Target thread, though knew about sd little before..
I was super dooper excited when i did land with 8 pack free wipes in 4 trips.. LOL I was too scared to use even 2 coupons at the same time..
