Ugh, feelin' for ya! hug My teeth have STILL been sensitive/painful off and on since last week when I had my work done.
I started zyrtec this week too.

My teeth have been very bad. They want to do a root canal/crown on 2-3 of them. I may just have them pulled. I can't hardly stand the pain. Frown

Well, thought my toddler was feeling better, but she's not. DH went to church tonight with my oldest and left me home with the 2 little ones. Mavis is screaming her head off in bed. She's tired, but apparently doesn't want to sleep. My head is killing me and I need to get my toddler to bed here in a couple minutes. I am hoping DH stays out for a little bit so that I can just rest with no distractions.

hug I totally feel your pain. I need some quiet around here so I can get some rest!

M2C...do it! Also, people in the gsale thread say listing furniture helps bring in traffic that you wouldn't have had in the first place. Even if you don't have furniture that you're selling put a piece toward the end of your driveway with a sold sign on it. Let people haggle on your swag less $ for something is better than no $ I remember when we moved I gave so much to the homeless shelter and my neighbor loved when I cleaned out my freezer. I swear I took her box after box of new swag. laugh out loud

That's kind of how I feel. I would rather have $500 and have it ALL gone than have $700 and have 1/2 of that crap still left. I'm not kidding about it all being donated on Monday. We do have 1 or 2 pieces of furniture. I'll make sure DH drags them all the way out to the street.

I have not seen an impact yet from Extreme Couponing. I get lots of people asking if I've seen the show, to which I promptly say those people are nuts. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I've been trying to follow Flylady and worked on decluttering our master closet today. 15 minutes a day and I'm slowly getting through my whole house. I found a box of T deals from years ago- Olay bar soap big packs, band-aids, Thomas trains, Transformers, and Lumene. It was like a walk down memory lane. It's been buried under a couple bags of clothes for at least 2 1/2 year. LMAO

Well, what to say.. too much on my plate..
DH had a tick bite and didn't notice for a while and has syptoms of lyme disease and too much going on with it..
DH met with an accident.. Thanking God that things are not serious.. but it could be otherwise worse if he drove seconds before or after..
He was making right turn, looked at left, turned right didn't notice truck making revere in the right lane. Truck was fast so was DH, since he was merging right uphill. His car did end up going under the truck (atleast front portion). Truck driver did use the break, but still car got pulled inside with DH inside the car while using the break all the way.
Actually cop called me to the spot coz DH was being attended in the ambulance. When i went to the spot, all I see was his car, which was totaled underneath the truck with 3 cop cars, an ambulance and DH was nowhere in the sight. I really thought I lost him..
DH has some minor injury, not serious. Thank god, thanking god for every moment...
hug I'm so sorry, that is very scary!

Try to do a lot of 2/$5 or 3/$5 so you can move stuff. If you have stuff that's not moving make a box with that crap and label it free with $20 purchase. People will buy a little more to get free crap! Teehee

Home early today. What is on TLC, a repeat with Jailme. I so wanted to see a new esipode.

Not a good day. Doctor said to come back in six months for another mammogram/ultrasound. This means I have to shop more to sell more. Not happy to know that my insurance I have to COBRA is $530 a month and I am skeeeered to go on public health care because if something is actually worng I want the good insurance. Not only did I not pass the mammogram this year I am suppose to go back g in four more months for another pap because that didn't come up good either.

My good deed today was go to an old coworker from Penney's and figure out her shopping scenerios. I was there longer than planned but I did good.

I made it to five Wags today. Tomorrow I will shop more.

Please let all the sicky babes get better and make the cranky ones happy fo rthe rest of the week.
Love the pictures of Noah. Cute cute cute

Also thanks for listening to my woes. I honestly am scared that if I go on the public healthcare insurance I may end up paying more if something some up this fall.

yes, work on letting it go. forgive him. say it aloud: i forgive you.
tell yourself he is human, and being human means having flaws, so that makes him a flawed man, but not a bad man, per se.
hatred breeds hatred and perhaps more importantly, it eats away at our insides: healthwise and spiritually. you will not only feel so much better letting it go, but you will see the difference in his attitude towards you when he spiritually senses you hold no anger towards him.

i know all of this is easier for me to say and much harder to do when it's you. so i just want to share one thing with you:
when i was little, my father was working very hard on a business deal. he had been working on it for months and months and months, long 18 hour days trying to wrap up this lucrative agreement. and they went through so many twists and turns. finally he ironed out all the obstacles and found a great solution, and they wrote out a great contract. the signing was about a week later. daddy was so happy he went for a drink with mum and they made all these financial plans - new house, new car (we were due for upgrades on both), they were going to pay off a chunk of debt, there was a vacation planned: it was to be a watershed moment in their lives. so he's beaming in his office one day and his college buddy shows up to see him. he asks why the big smile, dad tells him, and he says you know you're a genius, you'll have to teach me how you did this. so dad explains some of the nuances to him.
3 days later my father finds out that his supposedly ultra-close college buddy had taken the inside info, gone to the other party on the deal and offered to sweeten the pot, and stole the whole deal from under my father's nose!
my dad was on the phone talking to them screaming! not a swearing man generally, i heard him swear. he hung up. his eyes were brimming with tears. not only was the watershed moment gone, but all those months and hours he had put in: all gone. and now we were behind financially cos he could have been working on other income generating deals when he was working on this one.

fast forward about 10 days and "buddy" comes rolling around and asks my father for help so he can complete some other business deal. my father spends the next several days helping him.

puzzled i said "but Daddy i thought he was a bad man, and he betrayed your trust a few days ago, why are you helping him?"

it was right before meal time. my father took me to a large picture window and pointed to a dumpster in the distance. you could see crows flying over the dumpster then sitting on there trying to pick at garbage. he said darling do you see those crows eating the garbage? i said eeeew, yes. he looked at me and said, so will you go to the dumpster now and eat the garbage, too? and i shrieked, eeeeeeewwwwwwwwww no.

and so he said, that's why i'm helping him. if i betrayed his trust and turned my back on him at his time of need, i would be doing the very thing he did to me, i would be no different, i would become the very thing i stand against.

that image, that story, that lesson has always remained with me. it is one of my guiding principles at every turn in life. if family infuriates me, i think of Dad's lesson and i hold my tongue. when a boyfriend has hurt me emotionally, i have remembered Dad's lesson. when people have plotted against me, i have remembered Dad's lesson.

be the bigger person sweetie. it will bring you so much freedom and peace. and perhaps most importantly, your little ones will see that peace, light and kindness in you. i pray for strength and serenity and guidance for you.

hug

....
kay, i hold you both firmly in my prayers tonight.

couple of notes:

1) he is going to feel far worse tomorrow and for the next few days. he likely won't be able to move at all. don't panic if that happens and tell him not to panic either. that's the normal curve of this. you get worse before you get better.

2) whole foods: go to the homeopathic remedies section. there you will find slim blue vial like bottles by boiron - look for arnica 6c or arnica 30c. it's just arnica in sugar pills. arnica is an excellent remedy for all bruising and injuries. get a couple of vials - give him 3-4 sugar pills 4 times a day. just put em on his tongue and let em dissolve in his mouth. don't have mints or anything with onions/garlic right before or after cos those supposedly reduce the efficacy of the medicine. so just give it like a 15-30 min gap before after the remedy for any one of those things. arnica has no side effects. it is very safe to take and will help speed the healing greatly.

3) whole foods: in their body section, they should have aloe vera gel, that has no dyes or fragrances. get some, keep in fridge, apply a thin layer of the chilled gel on his skin burns. it will keep the skin softened and ease the discomfort, too. airbags are designed to go off on any impact. he's lucky the airbag went off - it likely prevented chest wall injuries from the inertia of motion. the burns are likely friction burns from the airbag impact. another thing you could get: they have pure jojoba oil at WF. jojoba has the same chemical properties as skin's natural oils and so is abosorbed very easily. and it's not like a liquid greasy oil, but more like solid wax that melts on the hand at body temps. just apply some of that on the burns and that will help also.

4) at walgreens you get boxes of disposable ice packs. 10 bucks for a box of 20 i think it is. they're very light and need no freezing. all you do is smash it with your hand, and inside the pack the chemical reaction causes the pack to freeze. lasts about 20 mins which is the max you should ice any area continuously anyways. those will be perfect for him to use for different body areas cos they are so light. no cleaning and freezing constantly.
cvs should have em, too.

5) call your PCP and get an appt for next week for a follow up and ask PCP for a trauma specialist referral ASAP, so that you can make an advance appt with the specialist since they have long waits. be insistent about that referral. i have learned the hard way that accidents leave us with complex but subtle internal injuries that can have far reaching long term impacts. the ER and the EMTs cannot diagnose/treat those big picture issues. and a PCP is generally not trained to look for some of those subtle clues. a trauma specialist is key at making sure he is not left with long term pain anywhere.

me: this past weekend marked 4 months since my accident. i remain in excruciating pain. i am yet to drive a car. my right arm is numb and tingly, my shoulder and chest have been hurting so badly today i have been wanting to punch a hole in the wall all day long. i still cannot walk. nor can i stand for more than a few seconds. i cannot bend or straighten my knee. i cannot put on a pair of shorts without wincing/grimacing when the shorts touch my still-distended abdomen. i am better than i was, in part because i have learned to accept constant round-the-clock pain.
i say all this to you not to divert attention to me, but because i don't want your DH to suffer in the same way. so be proactive about getting specialists on his care team and making sure he gets a nuanced once-over from different respective specialties.

sending hugs and prayers your way, sweetie. heart
