Not a good day. Doctor said to come back in six months for another mammogram/ultrasound. This means I have to shop more to sell more. Not happy to know that my insurance I have to COBRA is $530 a month and I am skeeeered to go on public health care because if something is actually worng I want the good insurance. Not only did I not pass the mammogram this year I am suppose to go back g in four more months for another pap because that didn't come up good either.

Also thanks for listening to my woes. I honestly am scared that if I go on the public healthcare insurance I may end up paying more if something some up this fall.

Question for nursing/previous nursing moms: any suggestions on nursing tops? They are sooo expensive. The only one I have is a tank, but I was thinking of investing in some actual nursing tops - old navy [gap.com] looks like the only place in my price range, $14.

I'm glad to read that after last week. And lol about finding the stuff. We found a Transformer in the hall closet over the weekend, probably the same deal.

I've been trying to follow Flylady too! Although if you saw the disaster my house is right now - you wouldn't think I ever heard of her.

One story of caution (although I'm sure you don't need it)... we had a tenant in one of our apartments who had just graduated from law school. She was a very "high maintenance" tenant (I'll leave it at that ). DH is a wonderful landlord and almost all tenants tell him that they love living there b/c of the great care he takes with the building and how fair he is. Anyway, this tenant wasn't happy about a few things and so she wrote some letters/emails to us and presented herself as a lawyer (remember, she hasn't sat for the bar yet). We didn't know this, but I guess that is a big no-no until you've passed the bar. The situation got messy, and DH passed her correspondence on to the state bar (who then contacted the law firm that had hired her). She was disciplined by the bar (and they wouldn't let her sit for the exam for a period of time) and the law firm fired her due to her conduct. She moved out and that was the end of it, thankfully. So just be careful Gator!

Awww!! What is your Kaitlyn's middle name? Ours is Elizabeth. Her nickname is Kitty from our son Caleb. He was too little to say Kaitlyn so he called her Kitty and it stuck It's funny because the last part anna's are always the handfulls lol Do you have one child or more? Do tell!! HUGS!!!

We have 6 girls and 2 boys... yes one of each personality pretty much...it is chaos I tell ya....lol I told my mom the other day if I knew monkeys were as great as they are... I may have considered only having monkeys cause you know you can lock em up in a cage if they are misbehaving ROFLMAO no but really I love my busy household and all the kids!! Well, what to say.. too much on my plate..
DH had a tick bite and didn't notice for a while and has syptoms of lyme disease and too much going on with it..
DH met with an accident.. Thanking God that things are not serious.. but it could be otherwise worse if he drove seconds before or after..
He was making right turn, looked at left,turned right didn't notice truck making revere in the right lane. Truck was fast so was DH, since he was merging right uphill. His car did end up going under the truck (atleast front portion). Truck driver did use the break, but still car got pulled inside with DH inside the car while using the break all the way.
Actually cop called me to the spot coz DH was being attended in the ambulance. When i went to the spot, all I see was his car, which was totaled underneath the truck with 3 cop cars, an ambulance and DH was nowhere in the sight. I really thought I lost him..
DH has some minor injury, not serious. Thank god, thanking god for every moment...

jteef, sweetie. i hope the dental pain eases quickly. do ice compresses or hot compresses help? they sell small little ice bags for jaw compresses. can also use hot dry rice in a cheesecloth or heated salt in a cheesecloth for hot compresses.

this nasty nasal congestion/cold/fever bug that is going around the nation has reached our home now. it is truly vicious and grody and ickville personified. if it hasn't hit your home yet, start up on vitamin c/zinc and wash hands frequently. you truly don't want to get this relentless cough, streaming eyes and nose, heavy congestion, nausea, dizziness, fever, nose, throat sinus burning blizzard of an infection. you don't.



i don't post much and don't check much these days, but want you to know, i'll be holding you and the kids in my special prayers on Good Friday. hang in there: let go and let God. worrying will not make it better. so when you feel yourself getting anxious, pray - that's what I do in difficult times.

also, have you heard of subjective communication? it's when you speak to someone from your subconscious to there's, spirit to spirit. try doing that with your ex. just sit in a quiet place, take some deep breaths and calm yourself and empty your mind of all the random thoughts of the day. say a quick prayer if it helps asking to guide you to say the right words.

and then with your eyes closed focus on your ex's face, as though he is sitting right beside you or in front of you. let go of anger, hatred, frustration. tell him you do. and talk to him from your heart. no lawyers, no judges, no IRS battles, nothing. just a conversation from a mother to a father, from one hurting human being to another.

and when you are done talking to him, say thank you for listening to me, and then release that connection. do this every day for the next several days till your court day, maybe even after.

if you cannot find yourself able to do calm your mind during the day, then before you go to sleep, say a prayer and then say "I am programming mind to wake up and subjectively communicate with [person's name] when his mind is most receptive to my communication"
you WILL wake up at some point in the night and instantly know why. it is eerie how it works, but it does. and when you wake up, do the thing of taking a few deep breaths, focusing on his face and communicating, then saying goodnight and thank you and releasing him from the communication and going back to bed.

subjective communication works and works well. the key is to have honorable intentions, to let the person know that you bear them no ill-will, to explain what you need and why, and to please ask them to help you/step out of the way. try it.

i am going to pray hard for you. PM anytime if you need.

As far as my itching goes, I'm on my second round of oral steroids. LFTs are back to normal so the rash is non cholestasis related but definitely pregnancy related. I wake up every morning with blood spots on my shirt and bra from scratching so intensely at night. Problem is, even with all the scratching, I have felt no relief from this itch. This condition could be used to get information out of the enemy. I know if someone held a cure over my head I'd sing like a stinkin' canary! I'm just ready to get back to normal!!!! Took a few days off to decompress. I really stayed away from a computer (except the occasional peek onto my phone) for about 5 days. Needed to get my head on straight again

Bar Exam is July 22. I thought I would feel like I have forever to study but I cant believe how quickly this year is flying by. Especially with 2 weeks of legitimate family vacation between now and then, I am running out of study time.

I have to fly to Michigan next week to file a law suit against our property mgr. I have already drafted the complaint and other documents but want to file them myself and get statements from some witnesses. I know some of you probably remember me complaining earlier this year about suspicious plumbing problems that they said we needed to make. Well, I won't bore with too many of the details but after the initial problems, they came back and said we needed to make $750 more in repairs because of these structural beams too close to pipes. Anyways...so we paid it and then they said there were more repairs that they recommended including painting the whole house and re-carpeting the basement. We paid a friend to do the painting and said no thanks about the carpeting. Then these scam artists told me that they would only be able to rent for $50 less per month that what we agreed to in our contract.

THEN, Monday they called us and said that there was significant electrical that needed to be done and that they would send us an itemized estimate but that they were going to go ahead and start the work since they wanted to rent it ASAP. DH finally got a phone call back from the head honcho city inspector i.e. supposedly enemy no1. and he told DH that he signed off on all the code compliance stuff TWO WEEKS ago and knew nothing about electrical work and the only reason he hadnt returned our calls was because he was on vacation and ASSUMED our property mgr. would inform us. WTF?

So many times this property mgr. told us work had been completed and that they were just waiting on the city to come back and inspect it....we had a friend go and take time stamped photos of the work not even started yet when they said it was done. The motherfarker doesn't even know how his world is about to change. We had our friend change the locks and this bastard is going to get his... I already filed a complaint with the BBB, Realtors Association and I am thinking about calling the news. I have every single shred of evidence documented and organized including every voicemail, text msg. email and conversation. I have filed a written demand for them to open their books for inspection but they have not complied yet.

IN my suit I am asking for remuneration of all sums paid for repairs, services, maintenance fees, lost income for months that the house has been vacant b/c of their stall tactics, emotional distress (long shot but I have really been distressed the whole year because of it). Luckily the city inspector said he would provide a statement as to when he closed his file on our house and our neighbor will testify that the snow at our house was NEVER shoveled although they charged us $100 per month for snow removal.

Holy fvck! I totally feel your pain with being so far away from yor property and relying on a property manager. In your contract with this jackass, how much of a cut does he get on repairs? I'm sure he still gets his nice cut of rent regardless of whether the property is leased or not.

me: this past weekend marked 4 months since my accident. i remain in excruciating pain. i am yet to drive a car. my right arm is numb and tingly, my shoulder and chest have been hurting so badly today i have been wanting to punch a hole in the wall all day long. i still cannot walk. nor can i stand for more than a few seconds. i cannot bend or straighten my knee. i cannot put on a pair of shorts without wincing/grimacing when the shorts touch my still-distended abdomen. i am better than i was, in part because i have learned to accept constant round-the-clock pain.
i say all this to you not to divert attention to me, but because i don't want your DH to suffer in the same way. so be proactive about getting specialists on his care team and making sure he gets a nuanced once-over from different respective specialties.

It is such a blessing that my sisters' spring break coincided with me being sick. They really were awesome, taking the kids for me so I could relax and rest, or just coming over and entertaining them so I didn't have to. Love my family. :he art:

Hey Rachael - what's for supper? I have to run into town to the grocery store for their one day sale. I hate that. Why can't they have it Monday when I go to town anyway? But, they have butter for $1.99 lb. and it's been $3.59ish. Hmmmm, they have some Charmin for $4.99... 2 times and unknown number of CWS coupons. That's a lot of butt wipe (it's a joke, people) And apparently my daughter wants Reubens, I see it's been added to the list.
