lol. Everyone must be recovering from mother's day.

Had a great time at the murder mystery party. Until a male co-worker of mine got drunk and start hitting on me. Everyone went to the bar next door and Bob kept staring at me the whole time with an odd grin on his face. And then he kept asking me to dance. I told him I didn't dance (at least when sober Big Grin ). I'm not looking forward to going to work tomorrow and having to see him.vomit

M2C..I am super excited for you. I would love for you to keep us updated on how the house building is going. This is such an exciting time. How is the new apt? I've been looking for pics on FB, ya needs to post.
The new apt is totally not pic worthy. Teehee I actually feel like I'm on vacation at some pool condo here. I'll post pics as soon as construction begins at the new house. I go Wed to pick out pretty much everything for the house. Whee

I kind of looked in the show room/pick out all your crap room at their offices a while back when I was in there so I do know some of the big stuff. I've already picked out the floors (I had to do this before they could price the house for us because we're getting 100% hardwood). I've pick the kitchen cabinets I want and a few other things I looked at. I have some ideas for the bathrooms but I'm really not sure with those. I want to do some stuff with glass tile accents in at least one of them but not sure what or which one yet.

Thanks meeshe. I will try the vanilla. I was thinking of getting some of that temporary filling stuff from the store to see if it helps. I must work tomorrow because I missed my last shift due to the emergency travel. Won't be able to get to the dentist before Tuesday.

Enjoy your trip to Florida! I can't wait to take a real vacation. Life has been so crazy and stressful lately. Of course it will be a while to save up money. Between rental cars, hotels, gas and food, we spent about 600 on this last minute tripEEK! went through some gc stash I had been saving up..

Well, I am thankful I had the gc to use Smilie

I was at Walmart today and they had tons of baby / toddler clothes on clearance for $1 - and a few bigger kids clothes for $1 too.

I knew I was a SDer when I asked them "Would you happen to have any Lego clothes on clearance?" Wink

Happy Mother's Day to all my lovely friends here at SD! hug

Wave

Hope you are all doing well. Happy Mother's day.

And speaking of moms.... any mamma's have babies with thrush?? I am wondering if Mavis has it. She's had some blistery looking white patches around the inside of her lips and I noticed today that there looks like a white coating or something on the inside of her cheeks. Other than the fact that she's been making a face and spitting out foods the past 2 or 3 days, she hasn't given any other indication of it bothering her. Just wondering if that's been anyone's experience.

ETA:

Oh, and this is really really stupid, but I want a cup of tea - I just don't want to have to make it.

sweetie, this might help in terms of info [askdrsears.com]

also, 3 home remedies that do help: yogurt, acidophilus, and calendula tincture. none of them are harmful to the baby, they don't have side effects and are gentle.

Morning chatters! We accomplished quite a bit (in an old people sort of way) over the weekend. It's nice to have all those Christmas decorations up overhead and out of the way. Nice to see my old pick up again. I have already started loading yard waste into the back. We have a place where we can take it and dump it and concrete or rocks at no charge.

I painted a concrete bench we had bought at an auction last week. We found a spot for it, which required moving the bird bath, but I like where they both are. A window box was pulling apart in one spot, it's fixed and waiting for flowers. DH started cleaning up the work bench again... for 978th time.

Most important of all, I tested all the fishing poles to make sure all the reels were operating properly and smoothly. Which reminds, I need to add "fish basket" to my shopping list.

Pond looks good. Got more rocks moved. Still have some to move. It's getting there. I had planned to do a little more today. Get the chair cushions out, put the canvas on the gazebo, and plant a few seeds.

Got up to a beautiful morning -- sort of -- and figured I would go to town, maybe stop at the lake for a bit then get home and out in the yard. HA! It's now pouring down rain -- I mean dumping buckets.

The "sort of " part involves the chihuahua who decided to take a dump in my kitchen... where my poor husband stepped in it. She uses the doggy door just fine and has access to it 24/7. Then once in a blue moon she will do this. I know she isn't sneaking off and going somewhere regularly; I don't wear shoes in the house but do wear socks, I would find it. And she doesn't try to hide it, this was right in the middle of the kitchen. So, I have already cleaned the kitchen carpet this morning. Just did the whole room since it needed it anyway. And that was before my first cup of coffee.

I need some really good Target deals this week or early next. I am going shopping and it needs to be worth the dang drive! There is a Walgreens, but I really don't like it.

Make a whole pot, drink your cup, put the rest in a pitcher in the fridge. Makes it seem much more worthwhile.

Sounds like thrush to me too. If your doc is the least bit cooperative, you can possible just call and they will call in an Rx for you.

Ugh, know the feeling! Frown hug Though this dentist I have now is totally changing that for me. My most recent fillings are finally starting to feel a bit better. Hope it is nothing too serious!
