thank you HD for appreciating the junk lying scattered around my brain. i'm trying hard to find some remnants of the GG of old. remember how i got very depressed about not doing deals and pulled away from SD completely? i find myself getting very sad these days about being stuck in pain and immobility for so many months. feel like life's just wasting away. so i'm trying hard to push myself about going in a different direction. nod

thank you for the encouragement and support and prayers. heart

Once I was helping the aides pass out breakfast trays and a guy asked me to get him some oatmeal. Of course, the kitchen had to tell me that his diet card said corn flakes.

They guy said "I told them I liked corn flakes. I didn't say I wanted to eat them every day for the rest of my life!!!!!"

On the brighter side, I did find out that my homeowners insurance is allowing up to $500 for each refrigerator and each freestanding freezer with no deductible, but you need an itemized list of what was in it... the curbside shop site for P made this easy.
That is wonderful news!

Torani syrups FTW!

Quote from Thrifteh :
Thanks! I'll have to check it out. Does anyone know if T carries the Torani syrups?

!
I have looked high and low at target and never seen it. I just order from amazon every time it is on sale.. usually costs me around 13.00-14.00 for a 3 pack of the big bottles.

Quote from thismom4deals :
Not sure about T....have never checked since all the ladies here have said Amazon is most economical buuuuut I do know that Bed, Bath, and Beyond has little bottles (not sure of oz.) for $1.99. They are WAY overpriced but it has been really nice for me to be able to 'sample' a flavor before spending $$ @ Amazon where you have to buy the larger quantity.

I think we need to have a Torani-worship day as well Smilie heart these, thanks to all here for the recommendations!!
I agree on the torani worship day! I love my vanilla and caramel in my coffee and the raspberry in diet sprite is a very pleasant treat lately..

Thanks for the BBB info.. I may check out the flavors there!

Went to Six flags park with the family yesterday.. Had a wonderful time.. Kids had a blast.. Then I had to drop DH at church to sing, and the kids to a concert they wanted to attend, and I hit target.. Nice small STC run cause I realized I have a ton of coupons expiring in the next 2 weeks, and will be heading out of town this week !

Today we visited with the inlaws, and I hit 2 targets and a CVS.. Can't find that darn JF haircolor anywhere here.. I give up.. I did buy me some JF shampoo though to console myself Wink Had a pretty good run tonight as well. Cashier selection was iffy.. Found a new face and he kinda stared at my first few and then scanned and k1 like a champ..

For those who don't CVS regularly.. There is a good sale on PF makeup this week. Alot of the items are 6.00 off.. I got a couple things that were only 2.00 each.. Paired them with some more expensive items I wanted and used the 5.00 coupons. PLus the expired 5.00 off 20.00 coupon is still beepless and I also got a 3.00 off cosmetic coupon from the scanner.. I also got my free sunscreen as well.. As hot as we have been already here, looks like I will need to stock up!

I think she was trying to say flower too (with my coaching, naturally). : ) She's a smart cookie.

but here i will balance it out. for those of you doing diet stuff/trying to lose weight. i stumbled upon a cool website the other day. it's called sparkpeople.com
you can set your personal weight loss goals, keep a calorie count chart, or a food journal online, and even interact with friends/a group. it really is very cool. and it lets you pick 3 goals that you want to do everyday for a month, then pick 3 more etc. simple things like drink 8 glasses of water, walk for half hour, whatever. you pick 3 things.
i thought it was a very empowering and cool site.
No Tiramisu in WF, but that is what you find when you get there Saturday night. Good for me anyways, since I already gained 4 lbs since my parents came here..
That site is awesome.

I guess I'm just glad that I now know that soy is included as with JJ the doc just told me to cut out milk and cheese and that yogurt was probably ok. He even told me to drink soy milk, which I did for a week and sent JJ into a tizzy! Things could have turned out so much better if I was properly informed, but it is what it is.
hug You are going through lot of stuff, and hope this too shall pass by. Hope the transition goes on the right track, helps you. Hats off to you for being so proactive and unconditional.

so, a friend of mine had this issue with her kids. turns out most of the conventionally grown soy one finds in food products is a) high in pesticide residue b) GMO soy. and their allergist told them that the allergy might not be to the soy, but to the pesticides, or to the genetically modified aspects of the soy (it's designed to be resistant to certain pesticides/chemicals and responsive to others, so that farmers are forced to buy pesticides from the company that makes the seeds). at any rate, they tried organic soy products and organic milk (so free of hormones, pesticides etc and always nonGMO ) and had the problems go away.

not sure if there is any way they can test for whether Noah's allergies are to the soy/dairy or to the chemical contaminants/residues in there? maybe worth asking a good allergist if they can do a blood assay to verify that, cos it could make your eating life a lot easier.
sigh, the things these companies are doing to all of us.
You are the best GG. You are very knowledgeable. hug Now we want to hear soon that you are starting to feel better. All our prayer includes you 

If anyone else was considering a stylus to use on the touch screen of an iPod/Android phone etc, I bought one at Target for 19.99 and then found a seller on eBay that has a similar one, 3/3.70 and free shipping. I waited until I received the order from eBay and it works just as well so the unopened stylus went back to Target. :bou nce:
I tried to look, couldn't find the listing that matches yours. We might buy one since it looks like a great option.

Yes. Thanks! I already had it. For some reason I just don't do CVS much. I intend to - but it tangles my brain. I get worn out figuring out what to get and how to get it - and then the store doesn't have something or another - which makes me have to re-think - and then it starts going downhill....

It is SO good to see you!! Blowkiss I miss your wit, wisdom, and beautiful spirit!

While I was at the gas station, inviting the V-8 coupons to my house... I also found some .40 cents of any Snapple 16 ounce tea. They had 16 ounce cans for .79 cents. So I got 10 for my son. I gave her 10 coupons.

The first thing the lady says is "Did you get those coupons here or bring them with you?"

LMAO I just went in to snatch some tear pad qs - No... I didn't bring them with me... I got them here.

She said they were just taking a penny off. We went through the whole one per purchase thing. She said if I wanted to use 10 coupons she would have to ring them all up separate. I smiled and said "Okay." She sighed.

She said it still didn't work. Then she told me they couldn't be used on the cans. It said any 16 ounce snapple tea . The cans were 16 ounce.

She tried it on the larger bottles. It still didn't work. She said it had to be a 16 ounce bottle. But she said they don't carry them. I asked why they posted coupons for items they don't carry. She said corporate sends them out. I asked how to contact corporate. She called her manager. The manager didn't answer the phone. So she tried the coupon one more time... on the cans... and by gosh - it worked!!!

She scanned it NINE times. I heard the beeps.... Then she gave me the total. I asked if she was SURE she scanned the coupon TEN times. She swore she did. She bumped her finger down the screen and pretended to count them. She confirmed 10.

I paid. Asked for the receipt. Saw that one can rang up at .79, while the rest rang up at .39. I told her it looked like she only used nine coupons.

I know. I know. It was only 40 cents. But dang it - I was in it to win it by then. And she shouldn't have pretended to count them before.

So she had to void that and re-ring. I got .42 cents back! Yahoo!

It only took five or six hours....

Good Morning and thank you. We actually have berries growing over there. We used to have mint there as well...what a mistake that was!! I didn't plant the mint..it has been there forever and it took forever to get rid of it.

Neutrogena suncreen is buy 2 and get 10 extra bucks..

I got a spray can of spf 45 for 11.49
a face stick for 8.89

and used a 5.00 off 20.00 cvs coupon (expired, but not beeping), and 3.00 off 15.00 skin care crt (from the scanner in store) and 2 printable coupons for 2.00 each.. leaves you paying around 8.xx (hopefully with previously earned extra bucks) and getting back 10.00 extra bucks Smilie

Even without the skin care crt, it would be paying 11.xx and getting back 10 ECB for a net cost of 1.xx.. I love getting cheap, name brand sun screen.. after last years deals, I was stocked up on all kinds of spray stuff and face sticks
