it's monday and my goal today is to deal with lots of crap from the accident: insurance companies, doctor's office, state police. i want this stuff done and over with. it's dragging me down. i decided i will work to get my body fighting fit again, but first, i need my spirit and my mind to be there. and that means getting rid of all anxiety-causing mental clutter and all depression causing loose ends.

margarine/fake butter -- a few years ago dr oz was on the oprah show (one of the first few times she introduced him to the world). he did this demo where there was a huge jar of butter and a huge jar of shortening and another of margarine (think of those penny candy jars). he grabbed a fistful from each one after another and squeezed with his fingers.
the butter melted.
the margarine softened some.
the shortening just oozed in waxy chunks between his fingers.
this, he said, is a metaphor for what happens in your body. we can break down the butter. the margarines and shortening - the body doesn't know what to do with the fake fat. it coats your arteries inside and hardens them.
this was all before the trans fat labeling rules and bans.
i don't eat fake fats. no thank you.
a dash of butter in your food isn't going to kill you. if you drench everything in butter and sit on your couch all day, well, then you've got some problems. but it still isn't the butter's fault - it's yours for being sedentary and not eating a balanced diet.

Little man is the nakedest babeh I have ever seen. I have to put a diaper on, then a pull-up, and then some underwear to keep him from undressing himself every.2.minutes. Although, he has peed in the potty at least once every day for the last week...I swear he will PT way before big brother.

It only took five or six hours....
I tried a Pioneer Woman recipe tonight and it was so good! It was a lot of prep, but fun and very easy. The pic is DH's plate, he said it's a keeper and then went for seconds.
