Silly question - I have never used an eBay gc before. If I only use part of it, does the balance remain in my acct for my next purchase?

i took it as a joke also. especially since it reminded me of my sis when we were little. she'd just discovered the wonders of an electric socket and decided to show all of us little creatures how you can feel this magical tingle if you stuck your finger in the socket.
then one day, the excited little thing, giggling with wicket delight, decided to show Daddy how the socket has that magical tingle. laugh out loud

my poor parents. we were in a rental house. they had to hire an electrician to move all the sockets from the bottom of the wall to the top. and when we moved out, to have them all moved back down plus repaint the walls.

and from then on, every house we moved to, along came an electrician to relocate sockets. LMAO my sis took to climbing on chairs to try and reach the sockets (we believe in overcoming challenges you see), so dad and mum had to have them moved even higher. Rofl2

yep, the rest stays. never expires. yours to use decades from now if ebay survives. Big Grin
My sister tried the same thing, but with a bobby pin! Thank goodness they didn't hurt themselves!

Cool! Have to order coupons for the first time in almost a year, and figured I'd use my ebay cert from that groupon deal. My newspaper supply is becoming unreliable, and I need to make sure I get some things in the upcoming sales. Anyone know of someone who has the .75/1 McCormick coupon? Can't find it anywhere and have used up all of mine. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Please don't think I am trying to convince you to use any kind of artificial sweetener, that's not the case; but, Splenda is not aspartame. They are two different sweeteners.
My opinion -- and it's just that, an opinion -- is that sugar is far better for us than any artificial sweetener as long as it isn't causing a weight problem. I drink diet pop, I use Splenda so I'm not a fake sweetener hater -- but I am also overweight. It is simply one way for me to cut carbs and calories.
Thank For saying that GT.. I appreciate it, truly hug
I am 5'1", 118lbs now, used to be in 114-115lbs before my parents came.. So weight is not that much of a issue, but the amount of sugar (avg 7 tsp+/day) seemed too much…
Sorry for the confusion about splenda, it was 5 yrs back when I last used, and read about any sweeteners.. so kind of very unclear information on my part *embarrassed*
Quote from calistyle :
I like stevia and have been using it on-and-off for years, but I still haven't found my favorite brand. Is there any particular one that you like better than the rest?
It can have a slightly bitter aftertaste but I still like it. :don't know:
Never used any sweeteners until now, thinking about starting one.. but not sure…Think I would go with stevia, and try to cut down on sugars...
Quote from slowtech :
:ia gree: so i just use very, very little. rarely drink soda. i almost always just get tap water at restaurants. rarely drink coffee but when i do i use real sugar. i drink tea plain. i don't bake so it literally takes yrs to go thru a 5lb bag of sugar.
i'd also rather use real butter. i read somewhere that the human body knows how to process animal fats but doesn't know what to do w/ manmade chemicals like trans fats (margarine) and doesn't know how to process it and get rid of it so it builds up in the arteries and causes athersclerosis and also irritates the liver.
Real butter is good, but clarified butter is divine yummy

Maybe you could do a rain check and get some qs.
I haven't done many of those deals lately. When they go good, they are really really good. But when they go bad. Ugh!
I did get Walmart to PM the Clean and Clear though. One time went quick. One time took forever.
Not sure coz of my upcoming long travel.. I am planning on giving away all the coupons I have, not limited to this.. Have to sit, and write down whatever I have with me, soon…
Quote from getgreen09 :
well molasses has sugars also, just natural sugar.
I wholeheartedly agree. It's the whole moderation. Pure clean sugar (not sugar that is bleached and filled with chemicals) is something that the body knows what to do with. And if we consume it in keeping with our activity levels, we are fine.
This is such a mine of information and pretty easy to understand.. We use wholesome sweetener organic sugar from costco. I would not worry about using sugar, if I take couple of tsps. I think coffee, tea with sugar became more of comfort to me, so I am not getting to compromise on it thought :-(

I am way beyond ready to fish. We went to check out an old bridge area out by the river last night and there was a guy there fishing with a little boy. DH was talking to him and the guy was just ignoring his pole and their bobbers weren't on right. Either something in the river hit his line or he had one heck of a bite and he just ignored it . Never even checked it his bait, nothing. It was driving me NUTS but I didn't really figure I should grab his fishing pole and start fishing with it.
Do ya think I'll ever quit reading TP as toilet paper instead of tear pad? Is this coupon for the machine or the coffee and do I need to look for it for anybody?
Does that make this an instructional thread? If all else fails, add booze.
Rofl2 Roll GT is one the roll, and we were missing your wit for few days Wink
Did you get your fish basket???

When I was about 4 I stuck the wire from a headband-thingy into a socket. With wet sleeves to boot. Metal + water + electricity = shake head *Luckily* it just smoked a bit, my sleeves were singed, etc. but it could have been bad. This has made me one of those moms who pays extra-close attention to the sockets in my home to make sure they are plugged!

LMAO I just looked at your g'morning pic...........good morning to you too bunnies!!

Trying to catch up and keep track, but work keeps getting in the way!

Thrifteh, your dedication to your sweet little babeh's is astounding. I am in awe, and certainly do not have the will power! I found the Torani syrups at Sam's. Very cheap, and had many of the sugar free varieties.

Can't remember, but someone flew in to Denver? Head up my way, only 45 minutes or so, I will show you my wonderful coupon loving Target!

I understand it was a joke. It was IMO in in bad taste. Since my son was the subject matter of your joke, I have every right or reason to comment and voice my opinion. So no need to Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) at me. Mmmmkthx.

Thanks Lisa, shopping yesterday was 3 times as long since I had to read every. single. food ingredient. AF whole wheat tortillas are made with palm oil whereas every other brand has soybean oil...mayo, salad dressing, crackers, pasta sauce, and the list goes on all have soybean oil!!!! It was quite an eye opening experience. I have yet to find a bread that has neither milk or soy.

My sisters live in Denver and I was out to visit 2 times last summer. The only way I could fly now with Noah & JJ would be if Mini Thrift came along. One of my sister's ILs live in your town. Not sure if she gets up that way often as she has her own little Spider monkey that is just over 1. I'll pass along the word to her to bring her tou-pons if she's in town.

She thought I accidentally left you out.

I don't think TN meant to offend and if you were offended..you could have simply said something like "ouch-that hurt my feelings".

When everyone stood by you during your pregnancy and labor and wanted to see a picture of the baby...someone so kindly said..let me see if I can paste it over from my facebook...you went crazy. What in the world did you think we were going to do with a picture of the baby except say oooh-ahh-how cute--how beautiful--etc, etc.

I feel your reactions are always mean spirited. If you think we are a bunch of evil people who only have evil intentions, why in the world would you want to even come and post on this board?

I promise no one is out to get you.
I promise no one wanted to see a picture of the baby for any other purpose then to coo over him.
I promise TN doesn't want your son to go stick a fork in an outlet.

Perhaps by nature you are really sensitive, but I do promise there is no secret group that is out to get you.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Please don't assume what my thoughts or feelings are. I'm not here to argue with you as I'm not, as you say, mean spirited. Go ahead and peg me as a bitch because I voice my thoughts and feelings when it comes to my family.

Now back to shenanigans, tou-pons and poop.
