drama: wags thread last night. courtesy of a Fan who never returned to post a reply after bunnies, I and MsGal said our pieces.

shoprite, thanks for the great info! this will help me learn shoprite and study its deals so then i can get her to do it. and i will get her into it. she's in the process of house moving so I'm not even bothering right now till that is done. but once that happens, i will have to teach her coupon basics first. oy! and then likely go on a few shoprite trips with her to show her the ropes before she can do it on her own.
but she's a sister. so no sweat. i'd do anything for her, anything.

my other friend (the one in NYC) - haven't talked to her in a bit. she's still going through hard times I think. Have it on my list to write to her tomorrow.

you know the things, when you want to support people emotionally and help people and advise them, etc, it's a really good feeling when you can. but sometimes the process also takes a lot out of you - you know just listening and writing etc. i'm so drained these with all these stupid injury pains and heartburn and cough and fever, that sometimes i look and think, ahhh, i don't feel like writing out a long email right now. kwim? i feel terrible about that. working on being a better friend.

p.s. next time I step out, I will ask to swing by the coop store and see if I can get some Sprouts books for you.

Clearance isle had Essence of Beauty mini nail files 4 packs for 23 cents as well as travel pack of
CVS energy (nut mix) for same price. They have ghirardelli squares for 1.07 and their website has 1 off coupons. Hope they are there when I go back!!! That maybe all can't remember. Came out with 4-5 bags full of stuff the last two days thanks to coupons and ECB's. Also got a CRT for 10% off beauty purchase for 3 days due to beauty club enrollment, I am already enrolled ?!?

I found the Rimmel Glam Eyeshadows (single ones) for $1.09 each and the Rimmel Glam eyes Lash Flirt Mascara for $2.09 (the one with the bronze cap).

Micro liner is a pencil.. i scanned the other shades; only the black showed up at the clearance price, however YMMV..located on the absolute bottom (below the mascara ) well in the stores that I went to. the pic will give u an idea, i think the pic showing is the brown one.

if your friend has any questions about shoprite, don't hesitate to ask me or in the thread. most wks shoprite also has a 4-day sale, wed-sat so i don't go until later in the wk and i usually try to coordinate going w/ my neighbor, fri or sat. we went today. usually a couple days b4 i put together my shopping list at www.shoprite.com then i email it to my neighbor and i can email it to her too. your friend sounds like my neighbor... kids, mommy brain, etc. last wk we were shopping w/ 2 of her kids and somehow i ended up keeping them busy, sending them on a blinkie hunt, teaching one how to buy eggs, etc b/c for some reason scrunchy's playhouse was closed.

i thought you lived up by bunnies? maybe i'm confused. so sweet of you to take her shopping a few times to show her the ropes. if she's near bridgewater target, i could meet her and do a run w/ her too. there is a costco there and the target greatland is very good for clearance. i missed the turnoff for 287 and ended up on the other side where i saw the shoprite. i haven't been inside yet though.

i haven't really spoken to your nyc friend since that time i met her b/c she said she needed to move and she was going to apply for WIC. i only been in the city on wknds for family dinners since then but now that the weather is nicer and we have baseball tix, i'll be in the city again. if she's gotten her WIC i could take her to the chinese supermarket in chinatown.

DH uses this stuff. Lots of "binder people" out early this morning. That's just what I call all the new ECers. They all have big 'ol binders and me with my little zip pencil pouch.

you don't need to replace the whole desktop for that.
can you reformat the drive at all, or is the drive not booting up at all? if the latter is the case, you can do one of three things in declining order of difficulty:

1) get an internal hard drive, open the desktop case (the tower or slab, not the monitor), unscrew the old drive and fix the new one.

2) if you are not comfortable doing that, even easier, get an external hard drive (you can get em for 50 bucks or less these days), connect it to a different computer and install windows on it, and set it up as a bootable drive. connect that to your desktop and voila! you have a working desktop again.

3) did you happen to back up your desktop onto an external drive at any point? if so, you can just boot up from that, then while it is connected to your machine, connect a fresh external hard drive to your machine and move the stuff over so you have a backup of the backup.
