Hellllllllooooo there! Remember me? I've read several of the most recent pages and a few old ones hit and miss.

I have so much to do today starting with going to town and getting the papers. I was home yesterday but just didn't go. Last week's are in my daughter's trunk so I guess I'd better pull the coupons and grab those so I can dump the papers today too. And stop at the grocery store. We need stuff.

Then there is the laundry... Don't even wanna guess how many loads I have.

Apparently, Heidi was lonely while we were gone. My daughter sometimes works 11 pm - 7 am and comes home and goes to bed. Heidi kept laying across her chest and waking her up so she sent her upstairs and shut the door so she couldn't get back down. (DD's bedroom is in the basement) Heidi then proceeded to bang on the upstairs door until DD opened it and let her back down.

It's gonna be dog wash and pawdicure week around here. Sugar stinks, needs her nails done and her ears cleaned and she's really skittish about having her ears touched. Sometimes she yips like it hurts. She always has and yes, we have had them checked. Coco smells like a chihuahua -- what the hell is that weird smell??? Her nails only take about 5 minutes with the rotary tool. The hoodlum doesn't smell but she's getting bathed anyway and her nails really need done.

I have a 50' x 1' area along my fence that needs weeded. Which one of you is coming over to do it? I will cook for you, bake for you, and inflate the queen air mattress and plop it in the pool for you.

Ank -- I'm sure you know this but sometimes it's easy to not think about it when you are in a hurry -- if you run out and buy a window air, make sure it's 110 since you probably don't have a 220 outlet.

Bronc -- Request a Nebraska and an Omaha travel guide. Often there are coupons in them.

I think I will take the kids to the library, to the store, and maybe even out to lunch because... I so don't want to cook and have no desire to actually eat anything in this temp! Not sure what my cheapest option is - maybe we'll head to the grocery and try for overage. Scratchchin

I just had a thought... what if my landlord is out of town?? Oy. I hadn't thought of that before.

^This!!!

When we lived in SoCal & rented our house here whoever was managing our property was available by home, business & cell phone.

This situation requires immediate action.

Sending Pray your way that your dumas landlord answers and responds asap!

Oh... and you know what is very annoying and weird - my insurance company. The hail storm happened 4/27 and I called at 8 am the next day. They totalled it 5/13 and sent it to that department. On 5/23, they supposedly finalized it and had the paperwork they needed from me, etc... by 5/25.

It is now 5/31 and I still have no check and no info. I called and all they could say was that it's not finalized out in the system. No clue if the check will be mailed, no clue if it will need to be picked up, no clue what happens now. They said I could try calling back in a day or two, and they "put a note" in the system and someone "should" call me. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Yeah... I need to buy a new vehicle and my rental thing is almost up - and I can't do nuffin without some money! Mad

This month has been a twitch fest for me. Shocking My grammy is no better, my car goes in for repairs (dd's bike incident) Monday, dh has worked the past 2 weeks straight, my laundry is out of control, the kids are on their last 2 weeks of school and it's jammed packed with year-end crap, I'm running two households by myself, my bff is getting ready to move away in June, dd is complaining of a sore throat, and if I spend another day in the hospital with incompetent staffing I'm going to scream.

on that note, I scanned the BB lip stuff and it didn't show on the scanner as being eligible for the $5 GC. Do the scanners not show that anymore? I am too frazzled to deal with crap that doesn't work at the register. I almost lost my mind at the eye doc's earlier today when they made me fill out the same farkin' paperwork I filled out the last time I was there. I have NOT had a sex change, I still live at the same address, I still have the same name, and I haven't developed any diseases since then. ARGH!!!

someone needs wine tonight. copious amounts of wine....

and Ank, I'm a TOTAL bitch today. Want me to lay into someone for ya?? I am downright scary mean today Mad

your son is a boy after my own heart.
i wore shirts the wrong side around and inside out frequently as a kid.
i still make that mistake as an adult.
don't even want to know how many times i've won my panties inside out as an adult. Embarrassment

mismatched trouser socks. yep. atleast they're the same color.
once went to the car and felt wierdly lopsided getting in. realized i was wearing one brown pump one black one. had put them on in a hurry in the darkness so as not to wake the sleeping tribe. Facepalm

i still wear tees wrong way round or inside out in a hurry. still.

children's clothes - have any of you explored the site thredup?
basically you make a box of new or used clothes to swap with someone. put a listing on the site saying what it's in it. someone buys the box (all boxes are same price) and then you can buy someone else's box if you want.
there's a $25 referral credit. and i've seen daily deals a lot like $10 for 34.95 in thredup credit etc, making it cheapo to get boxes of stuff from others.

I've already been beat up about this once (another thread), but I want to ask here.

Are ya'll used to reading text-speak in posts here? ...
Quote from flugette :
I always type everything out in text, too, otherwise it drives me crazy. ....
my phone only allows 160 characters in a text message. so abbreviating things is a necessity to get a message across unless you want a simple thing to be divided into 3 or 4 messages. Faint
i'm big on good grammar and proper english, but sometimes the abbreviations just seep in - more force of habit than inconsideration or sloppiness.

Quote from slowtech :
hey tn! Wave

this is the way i look at it- it's just part of my *try to learn something new every day*. i didn't know what smh meant either since i don't text at all. every time something i don't know pops up on sd i just open a new tab and google it.

....
i have no idea why i quoted you a bazillion hours ago. so i'll just say hello, girl thang. laugh out loud

oooh i think it was about smilies. i have a bunch of them memorized. too lazy to pull em up.

I totally agree. Holiday or not, they need to get someone over there asap to fix that for you. We once had to get a fridge guy out on a holiday weekend for our tenant because the freezer was going out. Just the cost of doing business as a landlord.

Holy shenanigans, batman. Just reading your post makes me need a nap and a bottle of wine.

DH went back to work today after being off for 10 straight days. I'm starting my summer-shenanigans-schedule with the kids today which includes summer bingo for Cole & back to counting WW points for me. I know, you are all jealous that you don't live at m2c's house because it's rocking with fun! Whee Went to T this morning after DS's speech class and found a ton of Mossimo tops at 75% off. I think I'm done with my fall/winter wardrobe. Roll

Ok... let's liven things up around here. I'll do a giveaway of an nice, fat, envie if anyone can guess the following... DS is making his favorite food out of Legos right now. Anyone want to guess WHICH food he chose to create??? I'm about 99.9% sure none of you bitches are going to get it. Roll I'll check back later to see if anyone got it.

We lived in an apartment complex when I was pregnant with our first child. Middle of July, I was 8.5 months pregnant and our AC went out. It was 95+ outside, so only imagine what it was like inside. They attempted to fix it 2 times. When it quit working the third time, hubby marched down to the office and informed them we were spending the night at a hotel, on their dime, until they got it fixed. As I was close to giving birth and had issues with my blood pressure, it was not a casual thing to play around with. We got our night in the hotel, and somehow they managed to magically fix it the very next day, and it stayed fixed.

Our "beat the heat" exercise today was going to Target so Mommy could spend all her 5/31 coupons. Big Grin The kids each got a little toy, so they were happy. Oh, and was it gator who mentioned the peelies for the free Cars 2 diecast? Blessings on you, child! Jaden has determined for himself that he is going to get every single one of the new ones, and this will certainly help us with that. Big Grin Just wish there was some sort of sale going on. And did you know a couple of the Kelloggs cereals have codes inside for Concession Cash? Wink So far, I've seen Cocoa Krispies and Crispix.

I don't want a fat envie, just a nap and a bottle of wine. Roll

When Cole was around JJ's age, what did you do for summertime shenanigans. All JJ wants to do is run wild outside, which isn't feasible with his 8 week old brother. This grasshopper needs some help sensai Bowdown
