Good Morning Meanies

Please let today be a better day. I already woke up early and I think I am ready for bed!

Yesterday...Went to Post Office to pick up the new hearing aids. Well, it comes in a huge box..I am thinking maybe a five by five box, a little box for two hearing aids. Nope. Nada it comes ina medium size proirity box. It is full of stuff. But the main thing is the manuels on how to use them. I am worried, Like you know they go in your ear and stuff. But why is there THREE different instruction manuels. One for the aids, another one for the remote and I am thinking the last one is for the bluetooth.

So on my way I am driving to work. My tire blows out. Midght of been something on the highway since it is construction season. Now I get off the interstate since the car is going bumpity bump. I am like it is not the road..Nope look and the tire is like gone. I was in the parking lot of one of those oil change places and the guys were willing to help me out. Out comes the spare and everything. Guess what one of the bolts is striped. Ok. Now I do not want to call AAA. Since umm I let that expire since I am trying hard to cut costs. I call the car insurance and the agent said yea you have towing assistance on your policy. Found a towing company/tire place and out he comes. Now I have to get two new tires. Was going to go for one new one to match the spare but the spare one will cost me over $200 and the I can get two new ones for the $50 more. Now I never would of bought two tires since I normally get four at a time.

Got to work TWO hours late.

Look and see I had a customer come in the day before. Huge order and the girl that rang her up gave me Less than 1/10th of it. I was upset. Less than 30 minutes later. Someone is wondering why a huge window covering got sent to the store and not to the customer's address. Guess what my name was on it. Was not my customer orginally but I had to rering it for whatever reason and my ID number was attached to this. Yikes! EEK!

The part that totally shooked me up. Was I am watching the other people researched this, since I am only wearing ONE hearing ad and whenever there is a group situation I can watch their body actions and pick up pieces oh what is going on. So when the group figures it is my fault this item was delivered to the store. I am like what is happening and I am like trying hard to deciper everything that just happened and everyone is like totally asking questions. Hello..I am like searching and reviewing and trying hard to figure things out. I start to rephrase everything that took place. I was cut off my another employee, like I should know what was said.

I got pissed. I said something and I walked off crying. That was my day...oh yea got called into the office because the girl that cut off my verbal response thought I was upset about the customer's order and I had to go an explain that it was like like HER fault and my disability and I was trying hard to figure out everything.

Not a good day.

ko, hugs. and prayers it gets better quickly.

have patience with yourself. it's going to take time to get used to the new hearing aids, and i imagine it's going to take people around you time to get acclimated also

hug

I guess I just don't believe that there is a mathematically un-inclined person. In my experience and opinion, that's just junk fed to kids when they are young - every child learns differently and if they're not taught in their learning style, they lose interest and some adults around them gather that they're not inclined. it feeds upon it self. I've seen this in adults, too - been told all their lives they're not good at math, and then they find a good teacher and someone who believes in them and they ace the class.

our brains can learn anything, if someone is willing to teach us.

sending you a) congratulations on the pregnancy, b) condolences on the loss c) strength and prayers for everything working out and for stress relief.
I believe everyone has their strenghts and weaknesses. Not everyone is the same or learns as easily.
It's easy to think that though if you are good at something I guess Dontknow
I had some of the most amazing teachers throughout school. I was even on the math team in the 3rd grade. When algebra and geometry started, I just kept falling further and further behind. My good friend's father was my algebra teacher and he worked with me endlessly and patiently. Some people just aren't good at certain things, math is mine.

Hello All,

I found this thread when looking for the Target weekly deal thread. My daughter recently moved to an area that has a Target so I was hoping to be able to advise her on sales.

Does that thread still exist? I thought it was in deal talk but don't see it.

Thanks! hug

You can still hang out here tho, we aren't TOO mean. Pay your homage to bunnies at the door, brew yourself a cup of fancy coffee (Thursday is honor your Keurig day, if I remember correctly) and be prepared for pee and poop talk!Wink

i agree w/ tootsie. at least for me some things come much easier than others. i was ok in math thru algebra. i did really, really well in geometry. i didn't do so hot in trig and did abysmally in calculus. also horrible in organic chemistry b/c it was mirror image and 3D geometry. i really thought i would do better b/c i loved regular geometry. they say males do better seeing in 3D than females. i could see how my friends just got it while i really struggled.

i also think some things also come w/ maturity and some people bloom later than others. i retook 1st semester chemistry my senior yr and for some reason it totally clicked and i understood it, whereas freshman yr it just totally went over my head. probably why some people who go to college later in life do so much better. that and they don't party.

and for anyone who does not believe college applies to the real world, when i worked at the gap we would do payroll projections every thursday morning. the equation we used to calculate it was totally a chemistry equation and i totally got it b/c i got an A in chemistry the second time around.

i recommend that you have your daughter read the first post and both wikis a couple times to get her up to speed quickly. reading thru the first time is probably very overwhelming so it's good to read it again so it sinks in.

most of the hot deals, coupon matchups, etc are in the wiki so if she reads it she'll know what everybody is talking about.

also, for this wk, BB stands for the brand, banana boat, and SS stands for sunscreen most of the time instead of smartsource sunday coupon circular.

if she has any questions after reading the wiki or about the wiki, she can always ask in the deal thread.

and may i just say, i despise paying bills. these bills are killing me. just paid a tax bill and our cell bill and wiped out a chunk of change. Faint and it's only june 3rd. still got so many more to pay. Crying i need a miracle this month.

hope all of you have a good day and for those battling tough things, here's praying today brings betterness. toots, praying for your grams. keep us posted.
