I think the post office in my area has it out for me, I really do. In the past two years they have

returned correctly addressed mail with a hand-written statement on it that the house is vacant (we had lived here for over a year at this time)

returned packages for no reason at all

misdirected a package from LLBean such that it bounced between Baltimore and Richmond for 6 weeks, and then they expected me to pay them $28 in postage due for this error

sent back outgoing mail for no reason

and today, I found that they "missent" (what tracking shows me) an envelope full of coupons that I ordered on Monday and has 50 coupons expiring TODAY (John Frieda) inside. I know it isn't the sender's error because this person always cuts out the address and tapes it on the outside of the envelope. The root awakenings tq and both JF mq expire today so I'm really pissed right now that the post office has my envelope sitting somewhere in Richmond because they can't get their act together. Mad.

It also has my Banana Boat mq, which the gift card deal also is only valid through today. My entire Saturday shopping is blown because of their ineptitude.

I couldn't see. She had misc stuff in cart. Off was the only thing I could identify from a distance. She ask cashier for an Off product too.

We do have regular street delivery as well. I first opened the po box because of problems with mail delivery, and then realized that the issue was the sorting facility and not the street delivery. I've had correctly addressed items returned from both local facilities- the po box location and home mail delivery. And, without fail they deliver things late on a regular basis. I received 5 different flyers/coupons for retailers after the coupon expired, and that was just in the last month.

Hi All.

Started to fill the girls pool on Friday night - but noticed there was a whole in it. So I sealed it up, waited the 12 hoursf for it to seal, and then started to fill the pool again. Now I found another hole. At this rate it will take me a week to fill the pool. It's not even that big of a pool, just something cheap that I bought last year at Menards.

So GT - If I buy rubber snakes will they stop pooping on my picnic table? I swear the birds use it like a litter box.

Off to target to try and get some BB. Have a great day all!

teenbean, look out for pool sales at T. last year i got a bunch of inflatable backyard stuff on sale/clearance (while summer was still on), as gifts for my goddaughters.

We went to the farmer's market today - impromptu trip. It was fun but exhausting in the heat. There were a lot of interesting but expensive things!! I did break down and get some gelato at the newish downtown spot. It was so fabulous. They make one that is my absolute favorite EVER. It is called Azteca and it has chocolate, cinnamon, and habanero peppers. Of course, I haven't found one that I didn't like...

What a day..

My DD took the SAT and I went to pick her up and ended up waiting over an hour on her.. then, on the way home my toddler begged to stop and play somewhere, so we did.. left the house at 11:30 and got back around 2:30. Bought my toddler one of those cheap hard plastic kiddie pools. Came home and let her play for awhile in it. It was so hot that it was miserable to me..

My DH got outside this evening and started organizing my stockpile.. we worked in the garage for over 2 hours.. I came to the conclusion that I have way too much stuff EEK! I must have a sale soon! Found a whole tote of up and up ibuprofen from the last 2 times the coupon has been out laugh out loud

Washed DH car, came inside and now I am trying to cool off.. BUT, our stupid air is acting up now Crying I hate air conditioner problems Frown

what about doing a box at a place like mail boxes etc? would that help or come to think of it the PO still has to sort those and they'll mess it up? EEK!

you should write a letter to your postmaster general detailing the problems.

i hate ac problems too and i particularly hate hot weather. was one of the reasons i was very glad to leave texas. i just cannot do super hot weather.
what about taking a cool bath? or even a quick cool shower?
cool showers followed by glasses of chilled watermelon juice while sitting in front of a fan are my antidote to super hot days.

and a working ac of course helps. i could passionately kiss the man who invented air conditioning [wikipedia.org]. good thing he's dead. LMAO
