Ouch!!!

Did you win 2 or separate accounts ?

ouch indeed ! all 3 burners are going,,,, to buy them $45. each

two accounts.. the wins were a day apart from each other.. but I only received the GC won on hubbys account the day after I won mine.

So....I'm a winner of prize I can't really use, the pound is a winner of a prize they can use, and the people running the contest have a happy winner. Not bad for a day's work, eh?

So....I just got the following email:

"Congratulations! We are writing in regard to your entry into the People Pets Daily Prize Pack Sweepstakes, sponsored by People.com. We're happy to share that your entry on Thursday June 2, 2011 was chosen by our company (an independent judging organization) and deemed a potential Daily Prize winner.

The Daily Prize you have won, pending confirmation of your eligibility, is a Reptile kit and supplies."

Guess who doesn't have any reptiles. Yuppers, me.

However, I immediately called my local animal pound and asked if they could use it. The guy I spoke with was thrilled. He said they often get donations of stuff for dogs and cats and even bunnies, but nobody seems to give them anything for reptiles.

So....I sent the following email to the contest person:

"WOOOOOOOOO ! ! !

Thank you. I read the rules (before I even entered because I'm that kind of person).

My address is:

And a woman responded immediatly:

Will send your information on so we can get your prize fulfilled. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me."

So....I'm a winner of prize I can't really use, the pound is a winner of a prize they can use, and the people running the contest have a happy winner. Not bad for a day's work, eh?

Now I have to find the person who posted the contest and let them know. I'll also add a reply to the contest posting, letting people know it's winnable.

Kind of glad all mine are charcoal grills!!

On swapping the cards, they give you four cards to match each week (they change each week). If any of your cards match any of their cards, grab that card and drag it to the one it matches. You will see it reappear in your deck in a smaller size. The other cards that do not match can be traded. Just enter swap cards and it will open a box showing your cards and a list of cards you can swap for. Find the cards in the list you need and offer your cards you don't need as a swap. If someone wants to swap, you will get an email. Hope that helps a little!!

Tell ya what's not funny. 5 yrs ago I bought an all stainless steel comercial grill with "lifetime" burners. I even registered it on thier website when purchased. Now, the burners are starting to burn out so I contacted them about getting replacements for the ""lifetime"" burners and they want the original receipt !!! are you kidding ?? who keeps a receipt that long ?? That's NOT funny !

I still have the receipt from my carpet that we bought 25 years ago.. I dont even have that carpet anymore

My son came home from college, registered on Camel and won his 2nd play (must have to do with his "tool box" )

Has everyone that won a $20.00 gift card from Camel received them?
