Apparently 1 in 3 Americans want a device that hasn't been announced yet. I don't recall that poll, but I'm willing to perform due diligence and start one in the Lounge.
Do you want one?

Baaaaaahhhhhh
I just want to know who's bright idea it was to install a Verizon kiosk in a kitchen in the first place?
I would take Android any day of the week.
YOU DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT IT IS yet you come in emphatically saying you are going to put down however much money it takes to get one! (Assumption: $200 + Contract)
I do think MAC products are worth the price! I love my iPad and desktop bunches!
You are probably better off waiting for the 5...unless you really really really want one now. (lot's of really's

I will admit there are some Androids out there that work very well...they just so happen to all go by the name "Droid" also, haha.
I think the App thing is a complete misnomer. Give me a function that you do on your Android and I will tell the exact same or equivalent app we have on WP7. The Marketplace has grown I think 3x faster than iPhones and 2x faster than Android (those figures change constantly though, but in any case it is right where you would expect it to be).
The only difference is that we have Angry Birds and 2 other knock offs while Android has Angry Birds and 10 other knock offs. hahaha
if one little bug can be used to knock down an entire platform, then isn't one unavailable killer app enough to discount one as well? here's a quick rundown of apps/features that i use on a regular basis that are not available on the WP7 platform (as far as i can tell; please correct if needed):
- Google Voice - must-have; it's the number for our small business
- Mighty Grocery*
- Heytell
- Free, integrated turn-by-turn navigation
- Amazon App Store
- PocketCast*
- American Express app
- Pizza Hut app
- Photoshop Express
- local news station's weather app
*got it free from the Amazon App Store when it's normally a paid app.i don't care about growth: i buy a phone for its functionality on day 1. i didn't buy an Android the last time because the app pickings were anemic. i got one this time because it had the functionality i needed on day 1. if WP ends up getting a version of all my must-have apps in a year and a half, i'll seriously consider it. for now, it's not a varied enough platform for me.

Why carry 2 devices around when you could carry just 1?
I pay one time and use the mp3 player all I want. I buy the phone and have to pay every single month to use it. And pay a lot, too. Right now my data costs are $0 every month. I pay only $15 per month for my phone, and that's it. I'm not interested in wasting my money that much... At least not right now in my life.
Carrying around 2 devices isn't a big deal to me. I've got a purse, and a tote bag if I need more room.

Some men come with a contract!
