I sooooooo did not know the above smiley existed until I typed it in and viola that little crazy-eyeballed person popped up laugh out loud

This week has been absolutely insane.

DH and I decided to start casually looking at house listings online (whether this was mistake #1 remains undetermined LMAO), particularly in the little town about 10 min. from here that dh grew up in and we've always desired to move to. And lo and behold one pops up in that very town that online looks like it fits our needs to. the. tee. DH's aunt is a realtor and owns her own business so she took us to look at it today. It is definitely almost exactly what we are looking for. Today has been a whirlwind. Looked at the house, dh and I literally discussed it for probably 3 good hrs.....pros and cons and all that jazz. Did a pre-approval for the loan and we are planning to put in an offer tomorrow. And then we'll go from there.

Our house is not as ready as I would like it to be to sell. Aunt Realtor came in today and looked over everything and it did go far better than I thought it would, re-adjusted my to-do list to fit what she thought needed to be prioritized and *if* we get an accepted offer we will start in on it. Well, we'll start in on it irregardless because we do want to sell at some point within the next year probably anyway. The thought of doing what I want to do within weeks though is overwhelming; I DO have a lot of family that I'm sure will help with this process if it needs to be done fast at least.

I have gone from elated to tears to happy to grumpy in minutes today no joke - I dunno if that's normal but on one hand I am happy we found something we really like in the location we want that isn't priced too high for our needs but on the other hand I think I just get upset thinking that we will actually at some point move out of the house that we started our marriage in, brought dd home to, have had all of our family Christmases in, etc. Geesh, it's only been 5 yrs that we've been here but apparently I'm attached!!! Methinks I just can't process all of the information today. I didn't sleep very well last night thinking about going and looking at it this morning. Hoping I can get some sleep tonight.

The GOOD thing about all of this is that my emotions are so mixed that I really will be thrilled to have it go either way. On one hand, I love the house we've found and would love it if we can get it.....but on the other hand if for some reason all or part of it falls through I am perfectly content staying where we are at for now. I guess in some ways it is the best of both worlds. I have been trying to console myself that way at least Girly

Sorry for the rough week hug I do know how you feel.. both with the quickness of it all happening and the attachment..

We have only had 2 houses in our 20 years of marriage.. We signed on our first home when I was 19 OMG and kept it for 11 years.. Never really even thought about selling.. I mean, I dreamed of a new home, but figured ours wouldn't sell and quite frankly with 3 little ones, trying to keep a house clean long enough for people to come in and out to view it was nothing I wanted to tackle. But anyway, my sister was building a house. While we were there helping at her home construction, she talked me into looking at some of the other homes being built in the subdivision.. When we were in the model home the realtor was there. She mentioned that we were interested in seeing a few houses. After looking at these new homes I of course was dying to have one. The real estate agent mentioned that she bought houses to use for rentals and may be interested in ours. Within a week, our contract was done on both houses. We decided to buy, sold ours, packed and moved in only 3 weeks.. Funny thing is, my sister had been building hers for a few months. We got one that was under construction, but in the final stages.. House was mostly built but we still got to choose carpets, cabinets, counters, etc.. anyway, we closed and moved in 1 day before she did laugh out loud

Anyway, I love my house and have no regrets.. but I was a little sad when we left because it was our first home and full of memories including 3 kids and all of their "firsts" that happened there. But now, I am so thankful and can see how it all worked out for us.. Now with 4 kids there is no way we could have fit in that house.. I didn't know why at the time we ended up buying a house with a potential 5th bedroom, but I do now!

I swore with all the work involved we would never move again.. It was one of the hardest things ever.. moving the 5 of us! No way we could move anytime soon anyway, the way the housing market has gone down, our house barely appraises at what we owe Frown

You will get past the sadness and enjoy making new memories in the new place!

Heidi thanks you. She has killed yet another Wubba so I did a quick search just on the off chance a cheap deal would pop up and I came across that site. Her last two came from an Amazon deal -- something like five bucks, no shipping. They have had some really cheap ones in the past. Gee, guess, which site is now in my bookmark toolbar so I will remember to click it daily?

And, no, no, no diaper wearing monkeys. I think they are cute and would love to play with Meeshe's but my diaper changing days are OVER. Ya might talk me into a funny little spotted kitty leopard, tiger creature though... but there is the litter box to consider.

Well, that's just all too exciting. No wonder we haven't seen much of you lately!

My mom's here so I have been trying to resist my SD addiction and not spend too much on the computer!look around

Oh! We did go to Target yesterday and used a few coupons. Nothing too terribly exciting but decent savings. Mom mentioned that she still has the receipt from Target from another trip a year or so ago where she saved over $90 (with an OOP of just a couple bucks). Apparently, she enjoyed that little trip more than I thought!

You are lucky you feel you can be happy here or there. Emotions are not a bad thing either. I would suggest taking a picture like M2C did for her anniversary - in the same spot 10 years later with all the new additions. I wish I could feel the same way but I just want to go, go, go.

Thanks for the encouragement ladies hug I feel a bit better this morning. I made some lists last night....thinks I want to doublecheck/measure in the new one if we can get back in to look at it again today.....a list of things that need to take top priority to do in this house and things to price-check at Menards, etc. Feeling slightly less overwhelmed by it all and like a plan is starting to form either way. Still didn't sleep well last night....the wheels just won't stop a'turnin' and as a result I can't sleep up or wake up a gazillion times just thinking about it all laugh out loud Should hopefully know more today.

Congrats on all that you are doing! Emotions being all over the place is A-OK!! Go with it and don't over think it. Your brain is trying to absorbs all the information..are we doing this or are we doing that, but if we do this, then that could happen, but if we don't do this, then.....etc, etc, etc.

It is natural to feel an onslaught of emotions. Just remember to let yourself feel what you need to feel, don't over think it, recognize it, love yourself just the same and keep on going. Think of it as an incredible journey and no matter what happens you will experience new things and grow as a person and as a couple. hughughug

Good morning Smilie

I feel so much better today! It is amazing what just a few extra hours of sleep can do for ya! DD slept until 10 am this morning, and I appreciate that so much laugh out loud I am having coffee, and she is watching Special Agent Oso..
Gonna throw a roast in the crockpot so I can make the family dinner before I go to work this evening.. trying to decide if I want to try for a target run before work.. The thoughts of coupons expiring tomorrow is making me want to go.. Lately the target coupons have been much better than MQ for me.. we need some good GC deals and MQ I think!

Anyone seen Ank lately?? Miss her and little Mavis updates hug hope all is well!

Hello Wave to GT, Dazzled, Bunnies, TM4D, and HD heart glad you aren't making me talk to myself today!

thismom, how exciting! When we moved just over 2 years ago, we left the house we bought as newlyweds, and plunked ourselves down in a house 3x's the size, and 900 miles away. Being far away helps me, I wouldn't be able to drive by the old house, especially if they cut down the trees we planted!

Good morning! And hello back at ya, L2B!

Got stuff to do today before we get more storms and this heat wave that is moving in.

Walk over to gas station and fill gas can
Mow before we get more storms/rain and 100+ degree heat indexes
Drain garden pond and refill... I forgot the algaecide and oops!
Vacuum pool and swim

Hey, I bought one of those deli chickens from Target the other day and that's what we are having for supper. Usually I bring it home and feed it to DH the same night so it's still sort of warm and I just microwave it to reheat and it's fine.

This time it will be reheated from refrigerator cold -- the whole chicken. I thought I'd put just an inch or so of water in the crock pot and put it in there on low or medium for a few hours. I figured that would keep it all moist and flavorful without over cooking it. Do ya think? Got a better idea?

TM4D -- can't wait to hear you got your house sold! Yeah, yeah, I know, it takes time! Now, which of those little towns are you moving to? (Hey, positive thinking!)

We have had the heat wave here, and it is so nice today.. only 85 Smilie what a nice pleasant change from the 98 we had on Tuesday.. Heat index here has been over 100 for days.. but, we got a nice little storm last night and cooler temps. Kinda overcast today and I love it!

As far as the chicken goes, your idea would probably work fine.. I haven't personally done that, but sounds like a plan. I usually just pull all the chicken we want for the meal off the bones and put it in the microwave for a short time.. but, I know some folks don't use microwaves.. You could also probably wrap in foil and place in the oven on very low, but it might dry out some Dontknow

Okay, been a little productive today, so I doubt a target run will be squeezed in.. but, I have folded some laundry, washed the bed sheets, cleaned the kitchen, mopped, and have dinner underway.. so, I feel somewhat productive.. now, I am trying to figure out what I want for lunch!
