All those deals bitches are bat shit crazy! I think I will be avoiding them until AFTER The toy clearence - Ugh! they are so stoopit sometimes. They don't have time to search SD for the upcoming coupon inserts but yet they have plenty of time to fish thru a billion of the same posts pissing and moaning about limits and fraud and whatever else they feel all high and mighty about. Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

That.
Is.
All.
EEK! I just now read the deals thread since yesterday morning (swamped with inventory suspense at work) and now bulb understand what dazzled posted about. I didn't mean to start (or cause) the drama. She posted she was too tired to post the Qs, so I just gave them the link SD already had.

oops!

She later must have had multiple versions of her post, as I got to read them as folks quoted them.

thanks for the pics TM4D.

Have another Keurig cup HDD.

Very nice! I just had a thought... a sad one. You just finished your pretty kitchen not very long ago and now you are going to leave it. But a new house is sooooo exciting!
hugHope things improve for your brother.
I know sending your son to your sister was tough for you. If he has decided to stay, that must mean he is happy there and happy is a good thing. I hope along with that you are seeing some of the changes you were hoping for. Hang in there! And don't let one child (pain in the butt that he may be!) steal all your energy.

Poop story from many moons ago: Son grabbed food coloring and drank it. I cleaned him up as well I could and didn't think much more about it. Next morning I opened the poopy diaper to some extremely vivid teal, green, blue contents. Prettiest poop you've ever seen. I saved the diaper for DH to see. He wasn't impressed.
Thanks for the kind words.. and the poop story laugh out loud

Seeing the pretty house pictures got me thinking - Wow! I want a new house!!!...until I thought about packing up... and moving... mostly the packing up.... nod

L2B hug

Better go to sleep a bit earlier than usual so I will have time to come read the poop stories tomorrow.
Thanks.. and I agree on the moving thing.. Packing sucks.. and well, unpacking does too! I swore this would be our last house unless I hired movers to pack, unload, and unpack things for me next time!

Morning all. Yawn

Why do I stay up so late and get up so early.
That is the theme of my life! I actually went to be before midnight last night.. and slept until 8:30!!

Well, I am off to work today.. 12 hour day, so it will be a long one! But, work is good to keep your mind busy..

Yesterday I worked for a few hours, went to target, lunch, kmart, then 2 more targets.. then we had the dress fitting and dinner with friends.. then hit walmart before we came home. We were out for over 10 hours.. My toddler was so tired, she passed out in the car on the way home at 8:45.. she never goes to bed that early. We brought her in and put her to bed and she slept until 8 this morning.. she woke up, drank a juice box, then fell back asleep with DH and I in the bed.. It is now almost 10 am and she is still sleeping.. I guess she literally shopped til she dropped!

it's b4 12pm here so good morning! though it may not be b4 i get this posted. had to catch up on what's been going on since monday.

hit 4 targets on monday. nearby that doesn't put up clearance signs had finally put them up sunday morn so all the cups and plates and cutlery were gone. was 90 off, got almost all my hidden stash and since i'd done multiples, even if one was gone, the other was still there. left w/ 2 carts full. a few things may go back. going thru all my treasure is on today's to do list. while i was there the employees discovered it was 90 off after this other lady w/ a cart full told them. at first i thought she was an sd'er but i heard her talking to the employees and don't know if she was faking it, but it sounded like she'd just got lucky and scanned something and found it was all 90 off. no snowcone makers even though it showed in stock, they were bringing out the small ice cream makers and snow cone cups. i will post a story in deals later after i read 200+ posts over there and find out what the drama was all about.

2nd target had been 80 off on friday and still 80 off. decided to buy some waterguns that i didn't think about at the first target. those may end up going back.

3rd target 70 off and they'd moved what was left to 2 endcaps and had set up back to college. did find 2 adult captain chairs mixed in w/ the reg stuff. didn't buy fruit snacks b/c at 70 off, not free.

4th target 75 off, nothing left except the cheap metal and the plastic water bottles and some other stuff. some hidden deals mixed in w/ the reg stuff but not cheap enough to buy.

on tues a friend had invited us to go to a meet and greet and game for my dh's favorite team. it's in the city so driving and parking is an issue. she strongly hinted to pick her and her son up which we ended up doing. hr to her house, hr to stadium, we were early and then the organizers were late so we waited in the heat, thankfully in the shade. dh got pics w/ 5 players, free hotdogs and soda and his team won so he was happy. didn't get home till midnite and then i was up till 4am.:O

yesterday i ordered my glasses at lens crafters. yes i know i can get them cheaper online but this last pair i've had to have so many adjustments to, i'd rather get them local so i can just go get them fixed. but if something happens to these, that's probably where i'd go to replace them until i needed a new eye exam. special ordered filters at lowes so in a few hrs spent 750 buckaroos.

lisa- great news about trevor!

warning- extra long multiquote! eta- ok, 31 smilies. not going in to get it to 10 so i'm just disabling to get my post up.

Quote from jteef1 :
Stash it quick!

I told my son we had to start reducing - give some away - have the yard sale I keep pretending I am going to have, etc. etc.

I took a big load of stuff to a former student of mine. Her husband is disabled - in a wheel chair. She is not a whole lot better - and fighting to get on disability. I figured I could use some stuff - and loaded some up and took it to them. I freed up some space in my freezer. When I helped her put the food away - they had NOTHING (big zero) in their freezer at all. (well...except for ice). Very little in their refrigerator. I love ice tea - and so they made some ice tea when they knew I was coming - and used their last tea bags. (So I was happy I took them a box of tea.) They were tickled to get some food, soap, OTC meds, etc.

When I got home my son's friend came over. He had a sometimes kind of sort of girlfriend or something with him. So my son asked if he could offer them some stuff. I give his friend some stuff from time to time. But I mostly give him stuff we have a lot extra of - not stuff I got for me - or stuff I have been putting aside for a yard sale.

But the girl - :omg: acted like she just won Supermarket Sweeps - She started digging through stuff - filling bags. I saw her grabbing my NEW shower curtain - that I fought so hard to get:numchuck:. She started cramming Mr. Clean magic erasers in a sack. Granted - she is developmentally disabled too (as is my son) - and I don't mind giving her stuff she needs...or even wants - but I certainly don't want her building an ENTIRE STOCKPILE from my stockpile. It was over the top. She was grabbing some of the proglides asking "Can girls use these?" I told her those were for my son - and started offering her some schick 2 count packs. She was holding up stuff asking my son't friend "Here. Do you want this?" He would say NO - and she was trying to talk him into taking it... (Head and Shoulders, Dove Men's 6 pack bars of soap...etc...)

Uhmmmm - he SAID he didn't want it - and I am saving that for my yard sale, thank you...

I told my son that from now on *I* will decide what to give people - and he is not to invite them to go on a free shopping spree in my stockpile. I am not totally greedy - but I also don't want to give a girl we see from time to time free reign to just fill bags and bags at my expense - even if I got lots of the stuff for free.

The girl, for what it was worth, seemed to think she was doing us a favor by taking it off our hands....
people just don't have any restraint or shame these days. wasn't even thankful.

welcome back! don't think you should have any problems. nj is known to be on the employee side according to my bff whose had 2 claims against her that she was successful in battling but b/c they were w/o merit. they both quit and then tried to collect.

So excited cause tomorrow I start at the dentist on root canal #2.. Been a little over 3 weeks since they finished up the last tooth.. it finally feels so much better.. not looking forward to tomorrow at all.. but so ready to be able to eat without pain. I am praying this tooth goes as smoothly as the last.. I hate dentists.. so scary!
Quote from love2beeamom :
I am heading out to the dentist soon.. time to start my second root canal :( :( I hate dental work!

She does not give him milk at all.. He has no allergy or lactose intolerance that has even been diagnosed, but she is convinced that he stays sick more often if he drinks milk.. says he gets more colds and ear infections :dontknow: I told her I never heard of that.. but it is even odder that she gives him cheese and other dairy..
ummm, can you make up your mind? you've got me confused. :teehee:

or is it the usual love/hate relationship....

when i was at bff's beach condo for 3 days helping her w/ her kids, she told me her kids even the 3yr olds don't drink milk anymore. wth, i didn't believe her as i don't believe a lot of things she says. i insisted on buying some for my coffee. i'd brought free nesquik pouches AC from the supermarket and asked all the kids if they'd drink choco milk. bff ended up buying a gallon of milk and w/ my encouragement we actually ran out in 3 days. i didn't even have coffee on the second day.

btw- it's not like they are allergic or anything. since her own diet is poor (she can't poop b/c of it), she doesn't put in the work to get them to eat healthy either.

that's my contribution to poop today.

Quote from love2beeamom :
Horrible morning at the dentist :( Numbed me several times and I could still feel pain.. SO, he stopped and didn't finish the root canal.. gonna send me to an endodontist to finish.. I just want it to be over :crying:
sorry!

Quote from ank220 :
Attaching house pics - I don't have any interior pics yet, so ya'll will have to wait. :) I'll try to remember before/after pics because we are going to be painting.

It's a split level house. It has 3 bed, 2 bath, 1 car garage that dh wants to eventually finish out and make more living space. The playset is not staying. :sadwalk: But... I'll have a fenced backyard and that's going to be awesome!
w/ a nice sunny garden for veggies!

btw- how's bunnies' tomatoes, peppers and cukes coming along? i think they should be ready to eat soon?

Quote from dpags :
I got the ice cream maker on clearance last year and it too is still sitting in the box somewhere in the garage! A margarita, er, snow cone machine sounds mighty inviting although the crushed ice maker from the freezer is sooo much faster, cleaner and easier!
my last yrs one is in the gift closet. i think i will be bringing it to somebody's house next wk to keep the kiddies busy. i'm thinking of keeping the smaller one for me since it's white. i bought another big one to take last yrs place in the closet and i already gave away the small blue one to my friend's ds cuz we went to the ice cream festival and he said likes icecream and makes it at home but not the real kind . so i gave him an ice cream maker.

Quote from love2beeamom :
Don't know what I am gonna do about my tooth.. It was giving me zero pain before I went. I was just having it fixed because it had a small hole in the top and food would get stuck in it and that hurt.. so, I went for a filling/possible root canal. He tells me before he starts that it doesn't look abcessed, and the root doesn't look decayed, so he thinks he will just be able to fill it.. then as he drills and gets closer to the nerve, I start feeling pain and he can't get it totally numb so he stops.. He told me he got all the decay out, put a medicated thing in and a temporary filling.. He refers me to an endodontist to finish a root canal.. Now, I am not sure what I am going to do. My friend at the office called this morning and tells me that one of the dentist he referred me to doesn't file insurance and I will have to pay oop first.. and of course there is the option of having it pulled as well..
So, now, I am thinking.. it wasn't hurting before, and he says he got the decay.. so, I may leave the filling in and see how it feels.. if it doesn't bother me, then I may leave it for now.. and if it starts hurting, then I may decide on a root canal or extraction... I hate teeth problems :(
i know it's expensive, but if the root is intact, maybe you can do a crown? i worked at a dentist's office in college for 3 yrs. it's always best to try to save your teeth. my dad is 80 and had an implant done a few yrs ago, i think b/c his dentures were probably getting too loose.

Good evening everyone :wave2:

Been an emotional roller coaster of a day..

... got my oldest DD registered for classes at college and her student ID made.. she is officially a college student :) so proud of her, but can't believe she is growing up so fast.. I am not ready!

... had a dress fitting for the youngest and got her flower girl dress for upcoming wedding.. she looked beautiful ;) like a princess.. paid way too much for the dress and was wishing I could have gotten it at target with overage

..... my brother's surgery wasn't successful. They weren't able to do anything because of the large amounts of swelling he had, they are changing his meds and will give him a few days to see what happens :(

..... my oldest son called tonight.. not sure if you remember, but we basically made him go away for the summer to work with my sister and we haven't seen him since May.. well, now he decided he isn't coming home :crying:

If I were a drinker, I would need one about now! Somebody have one for me.. tootsie, M2C ??

And, my stupid face is sore and bruised from the root canal that I didn't even get to finish yesterday :faint:

Okay, now that I have officially brought down the mood in here, I am going to bed...

Tomorrow is a new day. and I am hoping to come on here and read about poop!
! this yr has been a real doozy of one for you. i'm hoping the rest of the yr will be calmer and noneventful.

L2B: So sorry to hear about brother and his surgery. My heart goes out to you!

Lisa: forgot to say congratulations about Trevor!! Has he been discharged yet?

Great shopping day for me. Found a few toys I wanted at 75% off but will be Ninja some over the next few days. Hopefully the T markdown gods have mercy on me and wait until Thursday next week!

Picked the boys up from school this afternoon and my oldest son's teacher pulled me in her office and told me how much he misbehaved today. Kicking mulch at people, spitting, refusing to nap/rest, and actively trying to wake his classmates up by kicking the wall. I was mortified/shocked/many many emotions. It is very unlike him to do any of those things. Needless to say we had a long talk, he ate dinner and reluctantly went to bed at 6:30. He was asleep within 5 minutes. I hope his attitude was just from being tired...he had kind of a restless night last night...we all did. At one point, all 4 of us were sandwiched in the bed like a bunch of sardines laugh out loud

On a positive note, oldest DS has been in undies every day for the last 2 weeks and no accidents at school. Whee

Guess I didn't miss anything exciting today. No markdowns at the store nearest me. Maybe tomorrow I'll check a little further away.

Did get a little bit of good news today. I was given an estimate of $1500 out of pocket for our portion of a dental bridge, total cost of $4500. I had to have a tooth pulled last year that had broken under a crown. Boohoo that was already $2000 invested in that tooth between crown and root canal. Frown My dentist submitted the proposed work to our insurance and I received a letter today that our oop will be close to zero. Thank goodness!

I read this really fast and thought... what farking bridge is she having fixed??? I wasn't thinking dental! Roll Dental work sucks big hairy donkey balls. That. Is. All.

The framing on the house is almost totally done. I'm thinking that they'll be able to start putting the roof on next week. We went by tonight and we can now get upstairs and walk through to see where all the rooms are going to be. It's so neat to actually walk through the floor plan. Since it's totally our design we never walked a spec or model home. So very cool.

first i thought, they own a bridge???!! then, i kept looking for clues on town names, subdivision something, thinking wow that's some community, making people pay for a bridge, in addition to their taxes. Facepalm
i had to read the message 3 times, and slowly, before i picked up on dentist.

Iagree

Trevor has been delayed a bit, will be home Sunday! DS texted me last night about DVRing a show and said he had gotten to see Trevor. I asked if he smiled at him I got 'no threw up'. Just what a 16 year old wants/needs!

We're having pajama day around here because DH had to take my van to drop a crap-ton of stuff off at the builder's office. Bad news: these kids are driving me bat-$hit crazy. Good news: Builder said we'd probably be in our house in 90 days! Whee

Is it too early for a drink???
