You can have the hot peppers. I come from the Bland Family... my Dad didn't like spicy, so we couldn't even put all the taco dry mix into the meat...
nice veggies bunnies.

i second you having the hot peppers. i can eat hot but i don't choose it.

Here are some garden photo's taken this morning. We harvested some cucumbers last night. The lettuce is our second set of lettuce and it's a new variety. The first lettuce we had we harvested about 5 times before they finally bolted.

woot Very nice!!! It feels so good to harvest after all that hard work! I am going to be left to container gardening next year just due to space restrictions in the new yard; excited to try some things. My strawberry and pepper did well although I've pretty much let them go the last few weeks - no time to water with all that's gone on...they may bounce back but it was a nice experiment laugh out loud

oooh, maybe you will have time to meet and have a cup of coffee and a slice of new york cheesecake at juniors? would be so much fun! or i could give you all a brief native new yorker tour. not that i'm in ny anymore so things have changed, but some things still stay the same.

if you have any questions at all or need any help, don't hesitate to ask. i lived in ny for 33 yrs and still go regularly. almost all our immediate family is there so we have to go all the time.

and i love ikea. esp for cooking tools. so much fun to look around.
Totally didn't know you lived out that way!!! Any info. you have to give would be awesome....I wouldn't even know where to START asking questions laugh out loud My brother is pretty much planning the whole thing.

ETA: oh and I love IKEA for the cooking stuff too. There is this little spatula flipper thingy (smaller than most you'd find in a store here) that is the only thing I'll use when cooking scrambled eggs. Picked one up last time I went for fear I'd lose the one I have and be w/o!

I left a package of New York frozen texas toast on the counter for an hour by accident. Is it safe to refreeze?
Just in case you were soliciting - I thought I would seek assistance from the government. The United States Department of Agriculture - Food Safety and Inspection Service has a nice fact sheet HERE [usda.gov]. A table at the bottom shows which foods are safe to refreeze. Bread is on the okay list. Smilie

I like that. There is an Ikea in Bloomington pretty close to the Mall of America. I almost went in just to look around. But I was tired... and to lazy to get off the interstate, loop around, find the parking lot, and trot on in there. Maybe next time I'm up that way.

Bunnies -- that's plant look great. I have more blooms on my Poblano pepper plants but no pepper embryos yet.

And here's the stove:

Would you believe I still haven't used it? I will for supper tonight though and I will be using the stove top AND the oven. The neighbor's green house isn't as close as it looks. Geesh, it looks like it practically touching my house!

I was soliciting nod
I ended up calling the company and they said to toss it. I put it back in the freezer..lol
I'm not sure what to do. The site you sent me to said ok for bread, my concern is that this is garlic bread. I'm worried about the butter part of it. Do you still think it would be OK..(anyone can answer). The company may have said throw it away as to protect their hiney butts!

meat skeeves me, but bread should be fine. It's so darned hot here, it's always defrosted by the time we get home from the grocery store, and I just toss it back in the freezer.
I had the same thought tootsie, about going to the store and driving back home.

It will be okay. I leave butter out all the time and hasn't hurt me that I know of.

If it was plain bread I would keep it but otherwise, toss. But then I'm a self-admitted weenie about food safety.

GT, your stove is so pretty, love it!

Sorry your run was sucky hug I looked for good cashiers forever.. circled the store many times looking for a jedi. Ended up checking out in electronics with a nice young boy Smilie

Thanks for the prayers!

My sister went to see my brother today.. She said he looked "okay". She said actually a little better than last time we saw him. He is still feeling pretty sick and they are gonna run more tests on Monday. I decided to put off my visit for atleast a few days. I spent some time with my DD today when she got home.. DH and I took the girls to lunch and then shopping at target.. My DS was home being lazy!

So sorry to read about everything with your brother! hug Prayers for you and your family!

Back from camp - had such a great time with those kids! Hot as all get out, but still so much fun. I was hoping I'd lose a few pounds since I walked everywhere and sweat buckets every day, but that didn't happen. Oh well. Guess it was the so-not-diet-friendly camp food that is to blame.

Our little ones missed out, but not too much. They love their aunts almost as much as they love us, which helped us to not worry about them too much. nod

Trying to get caught up here on deals - always such a chore when you've been gone.

Going out tonight to look for a twin bed. Hubby happened to post on fb asking if anyone knew of someone trying to sell a bed, and his dad saw it. Teehee Called him immediately and told him to never post anything like that, "our family" doesn't ask for handouts, etc. Told him if he ever needs something like that, just call him up, don't let the whole world know. Mind you, we weren't asking for handouts, or anything like that. I think it was just a generational gap of misunderstanding modern networking. laugh out loud Anyway, fil is paying for a new bed, we just have to find one we like. He mentioned ones he found on walmart.com and sears.com, but the shipping is outrageous and they don't have free ship-to-store on those items. So we're hoping to find one locally that would be at least competitive with the online sites, that way we don't have to wait on it.

So is it soliciting to ask if anyone has any advice/ideas on such things? Big Grin
