One of my relatives bought me a Mochadoodle brick for Christmas last year....I have Mochadoodle coming out my ears, those bricks are HUGE! laugh out loud

Thanks for the info. on bday cake - I definitely need to get me some of that yummy

All this Scentsy talk makes me excited to get my new warmers and scents and excited for my new house Whee

Making good headway on the packing. DH and I need to work on the basement over the next couple days and I told him it is his job to do the garage....though I may regret that cuz I want to go THROUGH things and get rid of what isn't being used.

Good thing is I am one to go through things and sort and get rid of stuff, etc. so a lot of our stuff is fairly organized but DH's stuff is not --- he is a packrat and I've just avoided the issue with him for the last 5 yrs. to keep the peace. Well, in the next house things are gonna hafta change anyway because of the way the space is alotted we will have a lot more finished space but not the same storage options. The first couple nights of going through his stuff I am surprised we survived - he just can't throw stuff away - definite "Hoarders" material Facepalm Love the man to death I just can't understand this concept of holding on to material things though....particularly if they have sat in this house for the last 5 yrs. unused. Sentimental I can understand but 75% of this stuff isn't sentimental; it's just crap. He is getting better about it though; I think he has realized how much work it has been all because he hasn't been willing to clean stuff out for the last several yrs.

Alrighty, back to it Smilie

Yes it does, but hopefully you'll find that Hospice is a great thing for your brother.

My father in law has bladder cancer, got the diagnosis 2 years ago. He's been back and forth with chemo, radiation and constant invasive testing/treatments. In January he got out of town to have his bladder removed and once the surgeon cut him open he closed him right back up. He told us he never would survive the surgery. So back home for another round of treatment until last month when the doctor signed him up for home Hospice.

It's been amazing so far, since they concentrate on comfort, rather than cure. He has a staff of nurses and a chaplain that come a few times a week. Any infection he gets the medicine arrives FedEx the next morning. The cost is free with his medicare, but I think most insurance plans cover it in full too. He's doing ok for now, but you know something worse is coming and just have to deal with all the changes going on. When he's having a bad day, he's pretty weak and not there mentally, it seems. Then the next day he is mentally sound, scary to see this progress.

Aww M2C laugh out loud why you skeerreed? Lots of noobs over there right now. They are on sale $2/4 and their are $2/2 peelies on the boxes in a lot of the stores so $1 a box. I don't think that is that hot but apparently someone did. LMAO
I just don't post in there very often so I didn't want to be the lurker who is all like "I really wasn't keeping up and paying attention so can you tell me wtf you're talking about" - I found some peelies today and liberated a few of them. I didn't know if there was a PQ or something else I missed. Thanks for the help!

L2B: Sorry to hear about your brother Grouphug your FIL too Cate (btw, it's nice to see you posting!)

Well, finished my Bar exam yesterday after 2 days of hell. The Florida exam day (Tuesday) started off awesome with the essays which were my biggest worry and when we broke for lunch, I was like Yahoo! but the multiple choice after lunch Faint So freaking hard! They could pick from 12 subjects and I was under the impression that they normally selected from at least 6 for the 100 questions, but they chose only 2...my weakest by far. Yesterday was the multistate day and definitely hard so we'll see. If I pass the multistate and have to take Florida over, it's not the end of the world...I had to teach myself the FL laws since my school focused on Michigan laws, so I knew that I had the deck stacked against me a little.

It was nice staying in a hotel alone but I didnt sleep all that well...missed the boys a lot. Not the same getting to sleep uninterrupted for 3 hours Coverlaugh Forgot to bring a razor so I had to buy one...full price...without a coupon. Blasphemy!

Anyways...went to 4 Ts today and got lots of toys...

TN: hope your surgery went well...thinking of you Blowkiss

Yea, it sucks. She's getting older and she's already dealing with a lot of health issues. My dad says, when it rains it pours.. Good news is the surgery went well. I just don't know what she's going to do when she comes home with all those stairs.

I got a bunch of good stuff, the big Thomas MegaBloks set, some other Thomas train sets, Mindflex, Hot Wheels sets, and just in case I end up having a girl for #2, the little pretend cupcake bake set that I adore... I also got a bunch of cute baby clothes and a baby monitor at 75% off.

L2B, I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear about your brother. Hug2

Gator, fingers crossed that you did well!

Sharon, hope your mom heals quickly!

Didn't find any clearance toys to speak of at the store near me, almost bought the Tonka tumbler thing but walked out on the transaction because of a condescending gstl. Oh well, not a big deal especially in light of what is happening with other ladies here. hug

sorry to hear about your mum's fall. that must be such a hard injury to deal with when you're older. sending prayers and strength her way.

many prayers for him, too, Cate. and for your family.

has anyone heard any updates from Cali on how her brother is doing? holding him in my prayers. Cali, if you're reading this, but don't feel like writing, just know I'm sending hugs and strength and prayers your way.

congrats Gator! that's awesome! you've been working so hard at getting the law degree done and getting the bar done for so long, you Rock
and I LOVE your attitude about the Florida bar. FL laws are kinda different aren't they? laugh out loud it's amazing to see how much the spirit of state laws, and even the phrasing, varies from state to state even on any simple issue.

ditto.

And TN... hope the surgery went well and you're resting comfortably.

...
Is there a secret book of phrases handed out to all men by some mysterious cloaked author? I swear they all say the same things in the same situations.
The last time I was given this line of "we really don't have that much to move" it slowly metamorphosed into "well I really don't have much to move, it's just all your junk, your books, your clothes, your dishes and kitchen stuff, blah, blah, blah...." Ranting
.... and wouldn't you know it, come night before moving day, guess what was all packed and ready to go? my supposed junk... . guess what was still being packed until the very last second?

yep, the stuff that I didn't pack, because it wasn't "my junk". Bonk

oh and guess how big a truck we needed to pack all the stuff that we supposedly didn't have to move? a 25-footer. the largest truck you can drive without a truck license. we were at weight limit boundary at weigh stations.
