The milk gives it a lovely, creamy texture. Plus Arj is one of the lounge foodies (if not THE lounge foodie), so I'm going to default to his opinion on this.

They are just equal parts of sausage, bisquick, and cheese mixed together (like meatloaf) and made into little balls and then baked. Everyone loves them in Alabama. I used hot sausage and sharp cheddar because I like hot things. They're served most often during the holidays.
