Prayer Request Thread.

I'm changin my post now since my papaw is home and feeling better now. This thread is for anyone to use and post their own requests. Lux took my post from another thread and made this a separate thread just for that reason. Please do not hesitate to make requests cause you might be surprised at the support you will get from the loungers!!

Here is my original request...
Sorry I know this is off-topic but there seem to be some religious people in here right now.

Please say a prayer for my grandfather cause my mom just called and said he just called her and she is taking him to the emergency room. He is having pains (chest, I believe). It scares me cause he had a heart attack last summer and then a 5 bypass surgery. So now I'm heading to meet them at the hospital. Thanks!

I heart my Papaw!

I'm sorry RG, this will be difficult for both of us (and our families). Feel free to drop me a PM if you have questions or just want to talk. Comfort

You may recall my father has experienced some difficulty over the last few years and everyone has suspected Dementia/Alzheimers. My folks just gave me a call from a clinic in SF specializing in the study and they've determined it is "Pick's Disease" (Frontotemporal dementia, FTD). No known treatment of the progressive disease and worse, it puts an expiration date on your life ... average life expectancy is 7-8 years after prognosis. Looks like I have ~3-5 years left to spend time with my father and my kids to realize what a great man their grandfather is Sadwalk

I'm so sorry to read this from both of you. I'm watching my dad's failing health. It's so difficult to watch the man who could concur the world get frail. Comfort

Pray for all those who have asked for them (and those who haven't). I'm sorry that some of you (and/or your familes) are going through such difficult times right now. hug

I just found out this morning that my uncle had some sort of a brain hemorrhage (details were kind of sketchy over the phone)...he's in the hospital now and isn't expected to make it. He's a big teddy bear. He used to play for Notre Dame back in the 60's...hard to think of him laying in a hospital better like this and probably never waking up.

Any prayers or good thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks Woody hug

I was just up in Indiana and missed seeing him and my aunt by a day. They had stopped first to see his grandson. I think it was the grandson's first birthday..or if it wasn't that...it was something close to that. Then they came to Indiana and visited with my grandparents and my other aunt. I'm glad he got to be with all of those family members so recently, especially if he does pass away.

At least he got 1 more visit in. None of us know when something like this will happen and we should make every minute count ! I try to but backslide sometimes ! nod

I know. It's kinda odd, how they were sort of making the rounds seeing people like that and then this happened. So glad they did though.

Rammy, Jane, RRG, Autumn.... hug Pray Comfort

Here's one that's not so hard to think about. Please pray for my father - he has an interview next week for a job that would save him from wanting to move to Guatemala to retire. He's been laid off effective the end of this year and hasn't been able to even land an interview because he's so close to retirement. Nobody wants to hire an experienced worker when new grads can be hired for way less. If he doesn't get this I'm afraid he really will move out of the country with my mom. Frown

Pray for your dad, Mozez. That would suck if he had to move that far away.

I talked to my mom a little while ago. Apparently last night my aunt heard him fall and she ran out into the hallway and saw him throwing up. She called the ambulance and they came right away. I'm not sure exactly when he slipped into a coma. From what she heard this morning, he's not supposed to make it through the day.

My aunt is a mess and saying how she doesn't want to be the one to pull the plug. He's in his lower 60's, so not very old, and he and my aunt have a really good relationship. I hate to think of her in this situation. My cousin (her daughter, his step daughter) is flying there today from Penn.
