I'm changin my post now since my papaw is home and feeling better now. This thread is for anyone to use and post their own requests. Lux took my post from another thread and made this a separate thread just for that reason. Please do not hesitate to make requests cause you might be surprised at the support you will get from the loungers!!
Here is my original request...
Sorry I know this is off-topic but there seem to be some religious people in here right now.
Please say a prayer for my grandfather cause my mom just called and said he just called her and she is taking him to the emergency room. He is having pains (chest, I believe). It scares me cause he had a heart attack last summer and then a 5 bypass surgery. So now I'm heading to meet them at the hospital. Thanks!

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this on top of everything else. I swear 2010 has got to be better for you.
Prayers for Woody...I know today is very hard for you. You are always so sweet and supportive in this prayer thread and I feel horribly that you have to go through something like this
Next time you pray, if possible, please ask God to help stimpy's Dad ... to either restore his health or accept him home.
On Sept. 2nd my 80 yo father had Heart surgery, they said the success rate was about 95% ... complications in surgery dragged it out to 8 hours. He did not wake up after surgery - they ran some tests that show that he suffered a watershed stroke because of the long surgery and low blood pressure. Ironically his heart did survive the surgery and is doing exceptionally well. Over this past weekend he started opening his eyes ... we thought this was a good sign and our hopes soared. Yesterday the Doctors explained to us that opening his eyes but not responding is NOT a good sign. If he continues his empty gaze without response to stimulation ..... well, they have NEVER seen a case like that improve. Dad made it clear that he did not want to go to a home or live a compromised life here on earth, he watched his father in a home for several months. Before his surgery, our long time family friend and Pastor helped him find true peace. He had been dreaming of death for the last month. The heart problems were discovered when running tests for a minor surgery ... this was all quite unexpected. No one knew of his condition until the day before the surgery, yet he sensed his end was near. You know, I always hated how he was always right.
We will need to decide in the next few days when to remove the ventilator - when this is done, because he is so strong (except for his mind) we do not know how long he will survive.
He actually looks good now, so his 19 grandchildren will be able to say goodbye if they choose to (including my 12 and 14 yo daughters) while he rests comfortably - he does not appear to be in pain and he is not on medication (another sign that recovery is unlikely).
Our family has been so blessed over the years, we have beaten the odds SO many times ... including my mother's 2% chance of making it 2 years ago. If things do not change very soon, this will be our first loss to immediate family. We are a very close family that love each other unconditionally, we are committed that regardless of what our feelings are, we will not let this tear our family apart.
We pray that God will grant us wisdom and peace.
