Prayer Request Thread.

I'm changin my post now since my papaw is home and feeling better now. This thread is for anyone to use and post their own requests. Lux took my post from another thread and made this a separate thread just for that reason. Please do not hesitate to make requests cause you might be surprised at the support you will get from the loungers!!

Here is my original request...
Sorry I know this is off-topic but there seem to be some religious people in here right now.

Please say a prayer for my grandfather cause my mom just called and said he just called her and she is taking him to the emergency room. He is having pains (chest, I believe). It scares me cause he had a heart attack last summer and then a 5 bypass surgery. So now I'm heading to meet them at the hospital. Thanks!

I heart my Papaw!

I could use some myself...again.

June of 2011 I had the double scope done and I remember being in severe pain the morning of... and going through with the procedure anyway...then still so much pain that the next day I went to the 24 hour urgent care and found I had a kidney infection...so I apparently never did go to the Dr for my follow up.

Well...my primary care doc. wanted me to find out when I am due to go back.. the specialist's office wouldn't relay anything until I came in since I missed that follow up. Oops.. 3.5 years later..

I went today and we went over the paperwork from before. I guess he found some precancerous cells in my esophagus that he wanted to retest shortly after that procedure.

I am not super worried.. it likely isn't anything to worry about but I am like...10% concerned and now want to get the scope again before Christmas so that I don't have any percentage of worry.

I might be an extra 5% concerned since It's been 3.5 years... I really thought I had gone for all of my appts...not like I missed it deliberately...but dammmit. laugh out loud

*tl;dr I have precancerous cells in my esophagus...well they were pre back in June of 2011...
Appt to re-scope will be the 17th. Wish me luck.
Don't worry. We will all be here for you. You have all my prayers and lots of hugs to help you make it through this procedure. Love ya Comfort

Google glioblastoma stage 4 to see what I'm up against. I'm not looking anymore, it's terrible.

Remaining optimistic, can walk about 1/2 mile a day now and am doing more and more during the few hours I have between what has become required naps.

Chemo and radiation sound horrific and starts on Monday.

I'm too young for all this stuff.

Hey, if prayers work send it on!

Thank you.....
Prayers headed your way!

Please pray for my little guy, Christian. He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in June and treatment is 3 1/2 yrs long! We have a long ways to go, and I definitely believe in the power of prayer!
I do too! Our daughter hit her ten year remission mark in August! Whee She had Hodgkin's lymphoma. I will pray for Christian and your family!

Thanks!! He's doing well after spending 3 weeks in the hospital after the initial diagnosis. He has "standard risk" B- cell, so it's "easier" to treat. We have a lot to be thankful for!! It was a total shock and we were obviously devastated, but he breezes right through it. Kids are much more resilient and stronger than most adults I know!

Thanks for your kind words! hug
nod, true, as true can be....kids deal with IT, and then on to the next thing....lucky for them, wish us adults were able to have that type mind! Smilie Glad to hear, all is going flawlessly! woot

Sounds to me, like you most likely are in the clear, Schooby! If you have been asymptomatic for the past 3.5 years, that is great!! And dang, why didn't the Dr.'s office follow up!!! vomit I'll still send prayers your way and am glad you were able to get an appt. to be re-scoped so quickly! Shocking hug

Thanks, I don't know if I am in the clear or not since I hadn't gone back 3.5 years ago..I didn't know about this.

Some other issues they found do explain why everything was so damned painful for the process though.

But knowing that I let 3.5 years pass without further tests has me a bit more concerned.

Don't know why I couldn't find the thread, had to go find it in my posts.....anyway, want you all to know I'm thinking of you all, and sending prayers nightly, Schooby, I think had there been a problem in that 3.5 yrs, it would have made itself known already....imho. nod

I'm asking for prayer for myself. For peace, for serenity, for understanding. Anything would be greatly appreciated.
