Ok figured I'd better post this now while it's still early enough, lol.
I've had a Lot of fun doing the Secret Santa these past couple years. However last year it took a surprising amount of hours away from my family and I promised that I most likely wouldn't do it again this year. With Patrick out of town for a lot of October/November/December I know the kids would rather I spend more time with them than so much time doing this. I talked with them again and I really think I need to step down. Also some personal stuff going on that will take up some of my time. I feel kinda sad because I did enjoy running it and meeting new people and reconnecting with older members but I feel like this is what I need to do.
Whoever is chosen to run it this year, I'll be more than happy to help if they have any questions or anything. And I'll definitely participate...to be honest I kinda missed it, though I always thought it would be strange to pair myself up with someone
Anyway I'm sorry I didn't post this sooner, I kept going back and forth about it and finally decided I just needed to bite the bullet and post this, lol.

As for the next person to take over, I think maybe have people who are serious volunteer then have everyone vote on who they want to run it would be the most fair option. Since this is not a SD backed event though, it will be up to all of you to decide this.

I am not sure I will be able to. I am looking at a 5k bill for cataract surgery for my dog. Money will be very tight this year.
