i started thinking about this recently when i saw an old Real World episode with Katelynn (she used to be a he).

now with Chaz Bono on DWTS (he used to be a she) it has made me curious how others feel.

guys, would you be intimate with a woman who used to be a man?

Yeah. He was hot and then completely not. When you have very masculine features to begin with it doesn't go so well.

Nope, ALL transexuals have changed their private parts...until the visual sex has been changed through the operation, they are still considered transgendered, not transexual. Please refer to my earlier lesson in vocabulary here https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=43119460&postcount=74.
Well, I've never taken a course on human sexuality (or any other type, for that matter), but I know transsexual people, I know people who are or have been involved with them, and I have a friend who counsels transsexual/transgender/transcombobulated people, and they generally call people who have started the conversion process "transsexuals," with those who have not yet had the final gender reassignment surgery (sometimes it's done in stages) being "pre-operative transsexuals" (or even just transsexuals). I suppose if I needed to know any more details, I could always ask (though most of the time I get to hear the details regardless).

What they're considered presumably depends a lot on who's doing the considering, but I don't think the vocabulary rules are nearly that rigidly defined if the people they apply to aren't following them.

Actually you're quite right that there are stages from the transgender to transsexual change. I too know many transgender/transsexual people and I agree that it is a very tricky issue. However, when people start arguing that their feelings of who they are isn't right because you're born the way you're suppose to be and argue that no matter what they do they're still this or that, then I am going to define things for them to at least let them know that there are differences. I was simply trying to give them an understanding of the basics. I didn't think everyone wanted to listen to me ramble on and on about how intricate sexuality is.

It's definitely interesting. Not for me though. I'm happy with my "area" just the way it is.

PM over some pics and I'll provide an objective third party evaluation of your "area" and, if necessary, make suggestions on how to improve said area...Big Grin
