I dunno, so far this season is kinda blah for me. hope something major happens in the next 1-2 episodes or I'll prob put this season lower than last. last wasn't as bad for me as some others think it was, just very hard to top season 4. think it was a mistake for them to kill off Rita so early, part of the suspense was dex trying to balance family life - now, the kid is too young for any real story developments, or should I say too slow, as in years it would take for us to see the outcome of "like father, like son"

Season has been bland and boring so far, I don't remember a single heart pounding moment this season. I understand season 4 set the bar really high but even ignoring that doesn't make up for how crappy this season has been. Edward James "Almost" is not a convincing serial killer and his biblical motives are boring. Deb as the lieutenant is annoying as fark, she was better as a detective so I hope she gets demoted. laugh out loud

Hope they turn it around but the show has lost it's steam.

i'm actually surprised so many people don't like this season. i think it's pretty damn good, actually. especially after the stinker that was Season 5. laugh out loud

i won't say that i didn't like S5. i guess it just ranks down with S2 as my least favorite seasons laugh out loud S2 is still my least favorite! i do like Julie Stiles, but the way they wrote her character really just bothered me. and when they made Dexter fall in love with her (if you can call it that), it bothered me even more.

I felt that way about Rita. wave As much as I disliked her, her death was horrible.

i think they needed Rita and the kids to give Dexter more depth. without them, he's an emotionally void serial killer. once you show that he's got feelings and he's capable of love, then the audience can relate to him and develop a connection with him, thus making you more interested in watching the show.

at least, that's my opinion laugh out loud

I hated the way that Dexter became somewhat attached to Lumen and then the way she left the show, "Thanks, Dex, I don't have a dark passenger anymore. I'm leaving now. Bye!"

Like WTF? I think they wrote her out awkwardly. laugh out loud

I was so sad when Rita died. Frown
