Slickdeals
The Sixth Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest is underway!
Due to fewer participants in the last few years we have decided to move this to the Lounge.
Maybe if we get a ton of entries we can move this back to the Announcements forum next year and have bigger prizes available again....come on people ...show us what you can do!
This year you'll be posting your pictures here in this thread and then we'll make a poll for people to vote. Yes, I know it's not incognito this way..so I hope you all vote for the ones you really like.
Here's what you need to do:
1) Get a pumpkin.
2) Carve it.
3) Take a few digital pictures of that pumpkin, and post your favorite in this thread by 11:59:59 PM PDT, Nov. 3rd. You can choose to have your entry lit or unlit.
4) A placard with the words "Slickdeals 2011″ must be included in the picture to qualify for voting. Photo-shopping the words onto the picture does not let us know it's really your picture. It has to be a sign (placard). Some examples can be found in the wiki of this thread for 2010, 2009 and 2008.
Rules
- Entries can be as creative as you want, but they must be PG13 or tamer and conform to our image rules.
- Also, entries must have a placard somewhere that mentions Slickdeals 2011 in order to verify authenticity.
- A group of pumpkins that create a theme can be submitted as one entry.
- Once an entry is submitted, it can not be changed
- Submissions must be made by 11:59:59 PM PDT, Nov. 3rd.
- We will have a new thread with a poll for you to vote starting on Nov. 4th and voting will last one (1) week. Extra 5 points (thumbs up) for Slickdeals or Black Friday themed pumpkins.
- Only one entry per person, please.
- You may vote on as many as you like.The rules are subject to update for clarification if necessary.
- Grand Prize: Pandigital 8" Digital Photo Frame (model Pan8008DW) + SD T-Shirt + SD Beanie
- 2nd - 10th Place: SD T-Shirt + SD Beanie
