Ideas for stress relief:
- In the evening, before you go to bed, play some calm music (i searched amazon for "massage music" and found this [amazon.com]). Dim/turn off the lights, and light some candles. Aromatherapy is good - lavender, chamomile, vanilla (as well as others [aromatherapy.com]) are supposed to be good for stress relief.
- Try some podcasts for deep breathing or meditation, like these [meditationoasis.com], here [apple.com], and here [apple.com] (look for the mindfulness meditation, guided imagery, deep breathing exercise, and progressive muscle relaxation podcasts)
- Try to set aside a day and time for you to do something fun and kinda splurge, once a week (or every other week depending on your schedule). Go for a massage, mani/pedi, facial, or treat yourself to a movie or dinner (with all the deal sites now, you can usually find budget-friendly options)
I'm going to try a quick 30 minute hike with my dog on the weekends. I stopped that for some time, so I'll try to pick that up again.
I think maybe because I see things as a chore, I have less enjoyment, even when it should be joyful. My friend was saying that the way I shop - in and out really quick can be stressful too. So many things to change in my life, but I'm very excited to make some changes.
I was in your neck of the woods on Sat! I saw all the damage done - it's crazy. I also saw some downed trees and work being done on the power poles on the side of the 210, probably Temple City or Arcadia. That's crazy.
I don't know why it is that when there's space, I try to clutter it up by putting things!! Grr. I can't wait to be free of clutter! Funny thing is, I know where everything is!
and good for you that you know where everything is. i think i used to be that way when i was your age - now i don't know where anything is. it takes me too long to find a lot of stuff... that's why i really NEED to declutter/organize. it's good you're starting early.

yes, angels card is final. i would call them about it. last time one of my bras was charged shipping even tho i used a FS w bra code. i called them (or emailed - i don't remember which) and they fixed it. then later i realized that they credited my angels card for the shipping already, so i didn't even need to contact them about it. so i got 2 shipping credits...

the hike sounds like a great idea too! i started working out once or twice a week (which is a huge improvement for me, since i'm happiest lying in bed with a book), and i think that's helped as well.
i also agree with your friend, and would like to suggest...when you have a task (such as organzing/decluttering your room), maybe make a list of goals and then set those goals day-by-day. so on day 1, you clean the stuff on your floor (papers, clothes, whatever it is). on day 2, you hang up and/or put clothes into their cabinets/drawers. on day 3, you organize the clothes so they are the way you want them. on day 4, you tackle your desk/bookcase/etc. on day 5, you do the laundry. that way, you're getting the work done, but it's less stressful because you're not trying to do so much...and if you're off by a day, so what? it was just " a little bit of work" rather than the entire room lol.
oh yeah i forgot to mention, i got my clinique package over the weekend and my bloom sample was in tact, thank goodness! i think it was because i ordered the elixir set, which came in a box that was big enough to "pad" the blushes - they didn't use any padding other than tissue paper, but the 2 mini blushes were wedged up against the shipping box because the elixir set was so big. sorry gh that yours didn't work out so well!
As for USPS, I'm sure eBay sellers are going to have to deal with a lot of griping, because the shipping was slow. People are so ridiculous sometimes. They don't seem to realize the seller has nothing to do with how long it takes USPS to get a package to you. It was a nightmare, when my DH sold. Some people have unreasonable expectations.
