Hello ladies! I need some advice... I just started a new job last week and I'm pretty sure my boss is planning to get/give me something for Christmas. Have you seen the Sephora perfume samplers? The person gets to keep all the samples in the box and trade in the certificate that comes with it for a full sized bottle. Given your boss is a woman then there is this for $50 [sephora.com] and this even better set for $75 [sephora.com]. They have the same size sampler sets in cologne for men. Overall everybody I have given one of these sets to loves them.

Cookie butter is like Biscoff spread. It's the consistency of peanut butter with a slight sugary grain, and it tastes a little like gingersnap-meets-cinnamon graham cracker. But I'm not really doing it justice; it's SO good.

I got two Naked 2's, I figured I better buy now and decide later what to do with them. I REALLY want to keep one and give the other to my sis for her birthday but I might sell them both and use the money to buy it when they are at Sephora...dang it....

Oh anni, you said the magnetic polish lasted a pathetically short time on you right? What combo of base/top coat did you use? I can't remember if nail polish usually lasts a similar amount of time on our nails. And other similarities...I tried on the new Dream Angels Demi the other day and it fits me poorly now too Sadwalk It "fits" but just doesn't fit like a glove like it used to. SUCKS. The cups are closer together and the underwire doesn't touch my ribcage, it sticks out.

they chipped in a couple of days, but it may have been my fault - i only did 1 coat and didn't put the top coat on till a day or so later. so it may have been better if i had planned it better. i think i just used orly bonder + seche vite. oh btw i tried a regular sally hansen top coat a week or two ago, and it sucked - i smudged my manicure really fast. Frown i think i will have to go out and buy that essie fast-dry one!

one thing to note - make sure you don't put too thick of a coat! (thinner the better) because if it's too thick the magnetic part of the polish will cause the polish to raise up and touch the magnet. you'll have to do 2 coats to get a nice finish - one blogger said that they just used a grey first coat, and then put the magnetic polish over that as a 2nd coat. i would think you could do the same with the purple if you have a similar purple polish.

oh i was meaning to ask - what do you use as thinner? i'm in the market for one.

Wow - has anyone else realized how much smaller the lotions and sprays in the combo set are this year? The set last year had 3 lotions and 3 sprays for $15, and the lotions and spray were 4.2 ounces. I was just opening some sets to break them up for the girls at work and they are only 2 ounces each, the gift set came with only 4 items AND it cost $3 more this year. Wow.

So, for you math dorks like me out there:

Last year:
$15 set - 6 items - 4.2 ounces each:

$2.50 per item
$0.595 per ounce


This year:
$18 set - 4 items - 2 ounces each:

$4.50 per item
$2.25 per ounce


Kind of worried about looking cheap when these size items are free at BBW on a regular basis. Ugh.

Sorry - I just needed to vent now that I realized this.
