I work for a lawyer (family law and criminal defense) and we know many other attorneys that work in this field. Most attorneys should offer you a free consultation (no obligation to hire them if you don't like them).

The way we work is: Setup an appointment, come in with all your documents, talk about the whole ordeal, and leave the office knowing what the next step is.
My boss always tells the client at the end, "If you're like me, you're gonna get 10 minutes down the road and say 'oh, why didn't I ask this?' so please call back and we can talk over the phone."

Your best bet is to do something like this and see what the attorney advises you to do. I understand not all attorneys are honest, and a lot of them are like salesmen, but believe me, if my attorney was like that, I wouldn't be working for him anymore.

In the past, we've had people come in with a civil matter and we offer to write a letter on their behalf. Usually this scars the SH*T out of them (respondent) and the whole thing gets resolved. Usually we charge about $100 to do this (includes followup paperwork).

You do not have to sign anything...ever. My supervisors are always shoving papers saying sign this...I read the paperwork and make copies, but never sign them. They always write "refused to sign". If you are not comfortable, do not sign anything. Especially when they are pressuring you. Definitely read the document carefully, but I suggest, again, do not sign!

The only thing I would change is sending it USPS First-Class Certified Mail with Return Receipt. Signature Confirmation only provides a digital signature. The Return Receipt provides a physical card to be returned to you with said signature. I doubt they would refuse it; however, if they did, keep the envelope intact and ensure that USPS has stamped it as REFUSED.

I dunno, i gotta say i absolutely LOVE using my Dyson on the tile it gets everything up. I do not own a broom except for outside. I havent owned an indoor broom for 7 years, it drove the workers crazy in the spring bc they forgot their's. My ceilings are 10 and 12 feet high and the hose attachment where brutal in small spaces is amazing with a little tippy toe action for the ceilings. This baby sucks up so much crap it's unbelievable. i am super clean but when i see how much it has in it i feel filthy! LOL

Azn i wish i was there to help you get organized and create an " ikea" room! I hope things get better for you, i am glad you are focusing on fixing it! It will get better. i dont know what kind, but therapy might help i know several people that work in crazy enviroments and it has helped them so much. Its not the end all be all but it helped.

Jade, i dont think i could ever handle being pregnant again, they say after a while you forget all the crummy stuff abt being pregnant....its been almost five years and i still get phantom morning sickness esp around the time of year when i had it. LOL

You girls are about to convince me to look into getting a Dyson. My carpet vacuum stinks, but I won't need it much longer. I never would have thought of buying a big vacuum for hard floors.



I actually love the Christmas rush at the mall. Naturally, I do all my shopping online. I just go to the mall to experience the hustle & bustle & excitement the Christmas season brings. Rarely do I buy anything. I like to go out to eat, then wander around the mall. We have an outdoor mall that has a tree, light show, & caroling in the center courtyard this time of year.

just got a vacuum from target! it was $149 so i got something else on my list (vaseline for mom) to put it over 150, got 20 gc from the vacuum, then 15 gc for 150 purchase, and 10 for 50 purchase (it says 50 or more i guess, so there was no way they'd let me use 2). i used target cc for $100 (sadly i didn't pay off my kindle so i couldn't put the whole transaction on my card ) so i got another 5 off, making the vacuum about 100! (well, sorta) not bad imo. now i should go back and use my gc's and get more gc's.

I actually don't wear makeup - I just like Toki bags & charms & junk like that. I think I save a lot of $ by skipping makeup & jewelry. I skip handbags too now because I found 2 perfect ones and they are all I use.

That's good to know, but I think that this is getting too ridiculous. Do you think that's something your lawyer can help me with? I mean, I can write everything out and scan the docs.

Right now that's all I want to do, give them a really, really, really good scare. They think they can push me and anyone around here. That's why I'm looking for marketing materials that we claim we can cure cancer and send it to the FDA They've been treading on nails around me lately. I probably need to start selling my hoarding stuff and foot the bill! I'm curious about the free consultation, I'm fine with being able to do that through email.

what, no blush?! that was me before i joined this group. now i have like, 100 blushes. and i'm continually acquiring more! you can get ones that just look like a nice flush, or a 'natural/neutral' one that just gives you a little color in your cheeks. the really light/natural ones are my fave.

i hate it too. it's annoying! but it IS nice to have the option of in-store returns...

which reminds me, i need to return the express sequin dress i ordered. it makes me look bigger than i am - i think kuz it' too big. annoying since all the reviews said to order your size or one size larger, so i got a 4 and it's a little too big/not as snug as it was meant to be.

Btw, I saw you are returning some Allure wins to Sephora...I've never done that before, and I have a few things I am never gonna use and would love to return for credit...how do you do it? Do you just say it was a gift? TIA!

my dbf likes my stuffed animals. but i agree - it is def strange. i would think it odd if he collected them - but he's really just a big kid, so he plays with the ones that i have.

on bf kohls had some deals for $250-300 plus some kohls cash on them. it depends on which one... some cost more than others. for example, i was looking at the dc25 ball (the ball allows easy pivoting and lets you get around corners and furniture really easily) and have never seen it sold new for under 280-300. sometimes it is sold for less, as a refurb. the dc33 (does not have the ball or pivoting head) generally goes for cheaper - kohls had it for 250 before kohls cash i believe.

i also looked at the dc24 but it's got a really small canister, and 1/2 the sucking power, so naturally that one is always cheaper than others. it's also lighter, but one of the best things about a dyson is its sucking power so i figured it wasn't worth it to get that one.

i got the one on "special" at target, the nv22l. it's the predecessor of that one you linked, and is probably not as good (main differences - no pivoting head, smaller canister, no lift-away system, but same sucking power) - but i thought it would be worth the $40 difference in price tag for me. of course, i've read that this one doesn't do as well on hard floors - luckily my place is almost entirely carpet. i haven't opened it yet, but i stacked some target q's to get an extra $25 in gc's for free. (it's advertised for 149 with free $20 gc)

I found the perfect Coach bag for me at the outlet last Christmas. Hubby bought it for me, and a couple of months later bought me the wallet I wanted too. I love this purse –it is absolutely perfect so I really don't have any desire to find anything different. It's been a year and I still don't look at any others!! It must be love!!



I didn't think they would be so popular either. I like that pants with appliqués stitched on instead of the print. They look less cheap after going through the dryer 400 times.

On another note, they had them – and the bottle of perfume I returned? The one I bought for $25 and got an SRC with? Oh yeah. They gave me $64 on a merch card for the return SCORE!

I never used to shop for me. I spent my whole life buying for everyone else. Dammit – now it's time I get some nice stuff!!! I plan on just telling them it is a gift. I have never returned anything to Sephora, but many of the girls who frequent the allure giveaways say it is super easy, no hassle. I'll let you know how it goes!!
