I just for my secret Santa gift from vsshopper. Umm...can I just say holy cow?!? It was like getting a gift from someone who knew exactly what I like! I was so amazed and impressed an can't even tell you how awesome it was. I'm in the surgery waiting room (tooth) but will post pictures when I can.

What an amazing start to a terrible day! I rushed home to check my mail to give me something to think about during surgery Smilie

Thank you for your good timing and fantastic gift, vsshoper!
Yay! I'm so glad you liked it! You're welcome! Woot

to add to all the mom rants in here, i just have to say - i love my mom but boy is she impossible to please - and after a day i'm already super annoyed. laugh out loud i let my mom know that dbf and i were planning to get married next year. i thought this would be big (happy) news to her and she'd squeal with excitement. instead, she frowned and said 'oh, i wanted it to be this year'. Nono laugh out loud i swear, i can never please her! as if i could do it this year... there's 15 days left in the year.
... this is why i never tell her anything. i never get any positive feedback.

I also got my SS gift from tarribear today. (Pics to come.) I love all of it, especially the eyeshadows and the earrings! And the matching socks/tank top are super cute! Thank you so much--I really appreciate it! heart
Wow that was fast. I hand delivered it to the postman, caught him while driving in a neighborhood on my way to the PO on Weds afternoon. Glad you like all of it.

Ok girls- I need to vent.

Last Thursday my DH found this puppy wandering around in the road outside our house. It had a collar on, but no tag. Of course, he fell in love with it, but he called Animal Services because he wanted to give the owners a fair chance to find their dog. We told animal services that if the owners didn't pick him up in the allotted 5 days, we would like to adopt him. After the 5 days, we received a call that we could adopt him, but legally he could not be released to us until he was neutered, which would be $500. The alternative was that we could let him go to LollyPop Farms (which is a non-profit animal shelter) where they would make sure he was healthy and neuter him. We would only have to pay the adoption fee of $130. The Animal Services Officer promised us that he would leave our info at LollyPop Farms to make sure that they wouldn't put him up for adoption. We've called every day since Wed to try and get info on the dog and find out when he will be ready to picked up, and NO ONE will give us any info. It's incredibly frustrating. One woman actually told us to check the website every day to see when he is available for adoption. But we don't even want him to make it to the website because then someone else will adopt him! I don't know why they can't tell us that they have the dog and an approximate date when we can pick him up. DH is really upset about it and it's very frustrating. I dunno what to do.... We are thinking about just driving there sometime this weekend, and demanding that someone give us answers. :-(

hug That must be awful Frown I adopted my dog from an Irish Setter rescue program. When the woman gave him to me, she said that his "foster" parents had decided they wanted to adopt him the day after I had decided to adopt him. When I found that out I felt terrible - like I had stolen their dog from them. But, 7 years later, I couldn't imagine my life (or my family) without him. My parents weren't keen on the idea at first, but everyone adores him. He's our baby. Having to leave him behind is the worst part about college. Frown

Aww...well- in my mind, the 'foster' parents must have been waffling on the decision of whether or not to adpot your little guy in this first place!

And I'm already stressed enough about the whole situation because I've never had a dog in my life. (DH, on the other hand, always had a dog). I'm generally allergic to pretty much anything with fur, but we're not going to allow him in the bedrooms or the living room, so I'm hoping it will be ok. Plus, I've heard of many people building up tolerance for their environmental allergies. I just want to have the little guy in our possession so that we can start adjusting to living with him, and vise versa!

Amazon has a good deal on food related baskets. It's on the FP. I ordered our mail carrier the holiday drums tower. http://www.amazon.com/Holiday-Dru...rvi_cart_1 It looked like it had a good variety to fit all tastes.

You mean you can't plan a wedding in 15 days? What's your problem? That's more than enough time. LMAO

I think the safest route is to go there in person. I'd be getting concerned they would give him to someone else. It doesn't sound like they're very organized. I'd go ASAP, if it were me. Good luck! Smilie

Hi ladies! I really want to buy the Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator from Estee Lauder. Does anyone know of any good deals are currently going on? Or if any good deals/GWPs are coming up? Wondering if I should pull the trigger or wait for a better deal. TIA!
