i'm not sure about the kids ugg slippers, but since he will grow out of the shoes fast, here's a cheaper alternative from dsw [dsw.com]

the bearpaws even have real sheepskin lining like the uggs, but are $25 cheaper

edit--didn't realize it was for girls. but it looks unisex, and if he's just wearing inside the house, no one will know :-)

The puffer coat I wanted is OOS. Frown I hope it comes back. Hate when that happens; I hold out for a deal and then it's gone.

I really don't want to pay for uggs since his feet grow so fast. He's asked twice in the past couple of weeks for some slippers though. He likes mine laugh out loud.

I agree. It's great to have this group to share/vent/cry/plan with, w/o judgement or worrying they're going to run to tell someone what you said. Plus, add a lot you didn't say. I don't miss having the nosy friends at all. I just can't tolerate two faced people. Unfortunately, it seems the world is full of them nowadays.

Add me to the list of people with no friends.laugh out loud I meet people in work/school situations but they never seem interested in friendships outside of that so I haven't had good friends in a long time.

I do have 2 sisters and I'm super close with my mom but all of them are much older than me so it's tough. I love having people I can chat with on the internet but when I want to go out shopping or to a movie or anything else I feel really bad that I don't have anyone to do things with.

My DH has a milestone birthday coming up on Dec. 30th, so I want to do something special for him. Since it's so close to Christmas, I need to keep costs down. I'm thinking of booking a hotel for a couple nights for the 2 of us. I was thinking of booking a ghost tour on his birthday. He's into that type of thing. I think it's ridiculous, but humor him. I don't know what else to plan though. Does anyone have any ideas for a romantic weekend getaway? The ghost tour isn't a must. It's just the only thing I've come up with so far that he would probably enjoy. If nothing else, I was thinking we'd just stay in a nice hotel in the city. I'd need to find something to do on NYE, if we go that route. Though, I'd rather come up with a better idea if I can. I keep searching, but I can't seem to find anything that inspires me. My first choice would have been the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, but they've been sold out forever. Sadwalk FYI, it needs to be a short driving distant to keep the cost down, & maximize our time (no flying). Any ideas for what you would do for a romantic weekend? Please I could look for that type of thing around here. We're in Tampa, so no ski resorts. Teehee

PS: Due to the condition my back is in, I can't have massages. So, a couples massage is out. Frown
