So, I have a question for you ladies who have kids. I am totally confused about what I need to pack in a bag to take to the hospital. Is there anything you didn't have after labor that you wish you did?

Also – baby items. What were your "I can't live without this" items when you had your newborn at home? I DEEPLY appreciate any input!!!

Hi, just wanted to vent Mad my vs package also got stolen. I live in the apratment but it never happened before. The ups guy called me and I told him to leave it by my mailbox, I usually do that but when I went downstair about an hour later, the package wasn't there. It was sleep cami, perfume and pbos panty. since I used a src, its only $3.xx so I thought i should not bother with vs. But now with all that $39 egc I was feeling so down .
With my other order of PJ, I forget to put the perfume code so I email them the next day to apply the code but by then it was OOS and they emailed me that they cannot do anything : (: (
So sorry your package got stolen too! I hope it gets worked out.

nod funny thing is, dh doesn't really play Confused i guess he's buying it all for him and being vicarious. remember his theory about shopaholics being deprived when they were younger? i should throw that back at him laugh out loud
I wholly believe the being deprived when younger statement. That's what happened to me and that's why I have all this crap now, which is now driving me nuts!! laugh out loud I guess the effect kind of cancels each other out or something.

Quote from annicus :
my mom is just a debbie downer/very negative. she later tried to make an excuse about why she was so negative, but her excuse didn't really make any logical sense. she's just like that... she needs time to process it i guess. and she's been on my case about going dress-shopping here. Nono sooo annoying... i mean, ideally i would look here just to get a feel for it and maybe i'd actually find something i'd like. but it's too soon for that, and i didn't want to spend my vacay dress-shopping and feeling pressured to find one before i leave.

food has definitely been yummy tho!
Maybe she's just being overtly excited? She probably doesn't get to see you often and wants to be apart of it, somehow, even though she's showing it in weird ways shake head If you want to appease her, you can maybe look around with her. Plus, wouldn't sizing be totally off?

It IS totally annoying to have negative parents! For me, it's like you can't crawl out from under them!!!

Quote from annicus :
also wanted to say how annoying it is that i leave for a week, and right when i leave, i sell stuff on ebay. this happened when i went to europe too... it's just such a pain and i feel bad for having to ship late even tho the listing specifically says that i will be out of town until after xmas. now i have 2 orders waiting to be shipped.
Maybe send them a quick email just so they know to expect their packages later?

Quote from IceyNiki :
Just a general post...

As women, we tend to take on more than we should and to feel badly about things we did not cause or cannot control.

Try to take time to reflect on things that do not make you feel positive and let it/them go. We have one life. Let's live it the way we want to...not the way others may want to place on us. If we are in a good place, it will trickle down to the ones who matter to us.

I'm done
This is really thoughtful - thanks for posting this. Sometimes I get lost in things that others make me feel bad about, even though I know it's not my fault (namely at work) and they want to pin it on me and tell me how to live my life at work and I start plotting revenge. Evillaugh

Oooh - love the swaddle me and the towel!! Tweezers - well, I'm thankful for the advice but those aren't nearly as cute laugh out loud

Thank you so much for the feedback - kind of alone in doing this whole baby thing so other moms have been a huge help!!!

ALVS, I'm glad it's pink eye and not something more serious. It'll be terrible for a few days, but then it will be over.

Oh the poor little guy Frown Frown He must be so uncomfortable. I'm glad he has you to take good care of him. I think if it's caught quickly & cared for, it gets better fairly quickly. I always felt bad for kids who got pink eye but didn't have the most attentive parents.

I wish I would have taken my pump to the hospital with me. I needed it. Also take the breast pads. You may already need these. I did at your stage. Take panties that will hold a pad. You'll have to wear those. Make sure you have tons of bottles, burp clothes, and bibs. Just so you will not have to be doing the dishes and laundry all the time. It's good to have lots of extra to keep your work load down at first.

I loved the exersaucer once he got old enough. Maybe 3-4 months when they start using it. Also a good activiity mat is nice when they are younger and not old enough for the exersaucer.

laugh out loud me too.
issit me or are the limited pants sizing getting weirder?
I have some 2S i bought a year ago that fit perfect. Few months ago I ordered 2S and they were baggy as hell.

Tried various 0S in store and the butt part was still a bit saggy. Just ordered some online to hoping that they will fit better since no one would've stretched them out for me Evillaugh
