I had to fight him to get the eye drops in his eyes. They helped though.

I just called my dr because I had an appointment this afternoon. The lady that answered said there is a new strain of pink eye that is airborne that is going around. It's a good thing ds's dr prescribes an extra thing of eye drops for me just in case.

issit me or are the limited pants sizing getting weirder?
I have some 2S i bought a year ago that fit perfect. Few months ago I ordered 2S and they were baggy as hell.

Tried various 0S in store and the butt part was still a bit saggy. Just ordered some online to hoping that they will fit better since no one would've stretched them out for me Evillaugh
i just received a columnist pant from express, and ordered my usual size (i already own several). this new release is so much bigger than my older ones.

Limited did this in their bottoms recently. I can not wear their size 0's this year. Last year I could.

I wish I would have taken my pump to the hospital with me. I needed it. Also take the breast pads. You may already need these. I did at your stage. Take panties that will hold a pad. You'll have to wear those. Make sure you have tons of bottles, burp clothes, and bibs. Just so you will not have to be doing the dishes and laundry all the time. It's good to have lots of extra to keep your work load down at first.

I loved the exersaucer once he got old enough. Maybe 3-4 months when they start using it. Also a good activiity mat is nice when they are younger and not old enough for the exersaucer.

crazycat- do you have a travel system with one of those carrier car seats? they are a lifesaver.
I did register for one of those travel systems, and if the inlaws don't buy me that I will definitely get that myself. They look like a life saver!! The one I want on Target.com is actually on sale right now, so I am really tempted to buy it now. It's marked down from $190 to $130…plus another 5% off and free shipping with the red card. Is this [target.com] a good one? Ugh – it's getting overwhelming at the end here!!

I haven't needed breast pads yet – but I probably should buy some soon just to make sure I have them. As far as a pump goes – I am lost on that too.

I have a bunch of the VS cotton hiphuggers that should hold a pad just fine – and some cotton boyshorts if those fail laugh out loud At least I know I have the underwear side of it covered!

I do plan on breastfeeding – what are the best kind of bottles to get for that? Also – as far as burp clothes, I have had people recommend using the white cloth diapers. Is that a good suggestion as well?

Sorry I have so many questions Frown First baby and I don't get along with my mom. Don't really have any IRL friends either. (God, I really sound like a loser now laugh out loud )

The activity mat is a great idea too - I will definitely look into those as well Smilie

ccj - also an infant swing. i'm not sure if all babies like it but mine does. he likes to be carried most times, but swing works as an alternative sometimes.

also if you're planning to breastfeed, i'd recommend getting an electric pump and this bra [amazon.com] to go with. i gave up and was starting to wean but my sister talked me out of it. if i had these in the first place, i probably have not even gone through the giving up stage.

i also love the playtex drop-ins system (i stopped direct breastfeeding, and i also supplement with formula, so i use them as much as bottlefeeders do).

yes, that's how i use them.

eta: this is my pump [amazon.com]. i started with a manual though. i think they recommend that anyway so you don't have to invest in expensive electric pumps right away, as breastfeeding may not work for you. but handsfree electric is so much better than manual.

hug it is normal to feel overwhelmed.

That travel system looks nice. These are great because most babies will fall asleep in the car, and you don't have to wake the baby when you get out of the car. There were some times when we would ride ds around until he went to sleep and left him in the little carrier thing. My cousin insists on not buying one and I think she'll regret it. I bought the medela pump in style. You can also rent them at most hospitals. I would recommend having a good pump if you want to breast feed. The cloth diapers work great as burp clothes. Those little ones they sell at the baby stores don't really do much. Cloth diapers are what I used. They are cheaper and they work better. If you want you can monogram them but they're really just to clean up spit up so I wouldn't recommend spending that much on them. Bottles it depends on the baby. My baby wouldn't take the playtex or advent ones with the big fat nipples. He liked the dr browns.

I agree with krusty. The swings are awesome. Ds loved his. Also several nursing bras. I got mine at motherhood store.
