Girls I know this has been asked like a million times before but I just asked a CS by phone and she confused me.laugh out loud

I bought a boucle hat for $9.99 in December with a SRC. If I do a phone exchange and order a pair of leggings that cost $9.99 as well will they consider that an even exchange and refund me $9.99 or will I get nothing back because I used a SRC on the original order?

For CA: The VS at the Block and Great Mall that they are NOT outlets, but just regular VS stores. I'll check the Ontario Mills next time I'm there.

For MI: The Great Lakes Crossing VS is an outlet the last time I checked a few years ago...
the one in ontario mills isnt a real outlet either...

i asked a cs before and she told me that the src would be treated like a real gift card--she even went to ask her supervisor--so they should refund you $9.99. but then again, it IS vs, so it may be iffy.

OMG i would have gone crazy at those outlets, especially express. now why don't they have those outlets in ohio? Frown how much were the sunglasses?

I tried to play "funny professor" with my class, and it didn't go over for me either. I'm a pretty sarcastic person on a whole, so I tried to add humor while going over my syllabus. I have received a number of extremely poorly written e-mails and requested that my students proofread their e-mails and not talk to me like a friend they're text messaging. I put up a bunch of really egregious grammar mistakes (SHCOOL ZONE, "Illegally Parked Cars will be Fine", "SOTP," etc.) I referenced the book Eats, Shoots & Leavs. The idea is that the phrase, "The panda eats shoots and leaves" is much different than the phrase, "The panda eats, shoots, and leaves." To illustrate my point, I had a picture of a happy panda eating bamboo shoots and leaves. Then, in my next slide, I had a picture of a cartoon panda sitting in pile of bamboo shoots with a gun ready to run.

I thought it was hilarious. No one laughed. I looked like a crazy person with a picture of a homicidal panda...oh well.
i would have laughed red. i think written english has definitely gone downhill with the advent in technology in aim and texting. i know i make those mistakes--like not capitalizing. but i would never do that when emailing my professors (though i do use a smiley here or there lol).

what do you teach?

I use smiles all the time Smilie However, when I e-mail a professor or student, I do read any e-mail that I send twice just as a precaution. I also pay attention to spell check and don't know how people are able to ignore it! I'm teaching a finance course to juniors, seniors, and nontraditional students. It's a night class. A lot of the students are older than me, which is a little weird...

me too! i would hate to seem dumb or unprofessional to a professor if i didn't spell-check and check my grammar. it's so funny that they're older students and make those types of mistakes--because i would think it would mostly be teenagers/freshmen/the younger generation who grew up having cell phones at 8 yrs old type

Does anyone in your family have an edu email (students)? I get one year for free because my daughter is in law school and had edu addy.
I'll have to make my DS sign us up, when ours expires. We have a few people who get free Prime on our account. Would they still be able to get it, if we use the edu email for a free account? I'd feel bad cancelling on them, even though My DH & I are the only ones that pay for it. They all get it for free on our account.

So true! I'm one of them, I went back to school. I didn't realize it's just a stage.
Everyone I know who quit to stay home with their kids went through it. It does get better eventually.

In my case, we had moved to VA for my DH's job. I got so depressed that I seriously considered taking my DS & moving back home to my family. With DH's support & many tears, I stuck it out. Now I realize what a horrible mistake I would have made, if I reacted to my emotions at the time. After I got past the feeling of loneliness & feeling like I didn't have a purpose, I was glad I decided to stay home with my DS.

Since you mentioned Disney, I'm assuming this is the Orlando outlet mall. We never go to them. Now that I see what prices they have, I think I'll go when we're there for the weekend in a couple weeks.

They were nicer than most of the ones that I've been to. I've never been to a VS or exp outlet before. I love the sunglasses and would have paid full price. They fit my face perfect and that is rare since I'm tiny. I wish I had more time. We are just here for a short trip.

yeah, i often don't bother to capitalize etc, but i hate spelling and grammatical errors. i type fast so i often make mistakes but it bugs me and i always try to go back and correct them. when writing to someone above me, i always use proper capitalization and grammar, and i proofread. it bugs me that a coworker is always making spelling errors and grammar errors, even on client emails! shake head

yes, proofreading is key!! spelling mistakes and blatant grammatical errors (or your/you're etc) are a pet peeve of mine.

and yes! we do need to do a meetup! thanks again for picking that up for me!! it'll be fun to photograph and wear it. Smilie i've been super busy with travelling, dress-shopping with BMs, not to mention it's busy time at work. i'm busy these next 2 weekends... but i may have a free day the weekend after. maybe i can just pick it up from you if i go out to your area to eat with dbf's parents... we do that sometimes.
No worries! Just let me know when. Even if it's just real quick on your way to dinner with your DBF's parents nod

Good luck on BM dress finding! It's so hard to make everyone happy! Did DBF finally give you your ring yet?! laugh out loud
