The law of the status quo and not to rock the cradle?

I guess the right to assemble only applies to the message being spoken, don't like that message, well the law says you are blocking the sidewalk

Heck this shit happened back then with the civil rights movement... don't like blacks marching on the street, well they are lawbreakers and need to be put down.. However having KKK marching steps from Congress is not a big deal...

Maybe you don't see it the same way, but the rights guaranteed by OUR CONSTITUTION trumps any other laws put in place to bypass the Constitution.. You can't used "blocking the sidewalks" as a excuse to disband a assembly of people protesting, unless they are given another area closeby to gather..

Face the facts the police and college administrators did not want to move the protest they wanted TO DISBAND it... big difference.. and thus this is a pure violation of their constitutional rights
They were allowed to protest. Just not break the law in doing so. They left the others alone. Only sprayed the ones who were breaking the law.

And I am not sure why everyone keeps trying to compare this to Civil rights, Serbia or whatever etc... It was some dumb kids who decided to instigate an issue with the police. They new what they were doing. Should the police just let who ever break the law because they want to? Where does it stop? What law do they have to break before you say, gee that was dumb?

Ok that had nothing to do with anything. But I love the "laugh out loud" <--- you can always tell when someone is struggling to prove a point that they start posting random smileys.

Really? nothing to do with this

You made a statement that people who break the law and not follow police orders may deserve a BEATING and ASSAULT

So why is it not ok to do the same to your kid or other people's kids who also continue not to follow orders and misbehave?

You can't cause you got no GOV'T powers.

You are too blind to see it....

The law prohibits anyone from blocking sidewalks. Dosen't matter if people can walk around or not.

And who was complaining to the foo-lice and and school admin, that their sidewalk was being blocked? students?

Nope... the school admin say something they didn't like and hear and decided to call their armed thugs (police) to get rid of it

wait...so anyone in a wheelchair (which ucd has many students that require the use of them) should have to 4 wheel it across the lawn instead of the concrete??

Yeah...I'm playing the "ADA card"

You are stretching to far to prove your point. You telling your kid to pick up his clothes is not the law. Your kid stealing clothes is within the law. I am not blind. I am just not reaching so far out to try and compare this to any random point, just to prove that the kids weren't breaking the law when they were breaking the law....

You can try to personally attack me and throw out wild accusations about me, because I do not agree with you. But the fact remains when someone breaks the law, there are consequences.

Should they call their un-armed thugs instead? Confused

This right here shows that you don't care about the issue at hand. All you care about is spreading your hatred of police officers.

blocking the sidewalk is a mere violation .. it does not raise to the justification of pepper spray usage
