I don't have an objection to giving or receiving firearms for Christmas, however since firearms can not be returned, it seems to me that the giver needs to be extra vigilante to buy the correct make/model/features for the recipient. Dontknow

Gosh, he bought a beautiful Derringer, that I would love to have myself.
You can buy different barrels for it, for different caliber bullets. Nice firearm.
Now he is looking at a bolt action rifle, but I keep trying to talk him out of it Nono
Price is too high for a used rifle, and the scope is eh, nothing special.

Not a fan of guns. I did however get my son a PS3 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare...so that's kinda close, I guess.

I am actually hoping to purchase my first one this year, but I dont know what I will get. I need something for smaller hands (so for ladies), that can be concealed in a purse or maybe on a leg/ankle strap. I will be going back to the range soon to try stuff out I guess. I dont even know where to start.

So, I got a Mossberg 12ga. w/two barrels (18" and 22") and a bunch of shells (including a box of shells all loaded with rock salt laugh out loud). Also Dad passed down a .22 revolver, & a .22 semi-auto and I bought myself a 1911 chambered for .22 so I can practice with it and not go broke on ammo.

Dad got a Taurus Judge which he's already decided will be his "under-the-bed" gun. I can't wait to go shoot that thing. It's chambered for .45LC and .410 shot shell. Should be tons of fun to shoot.

Mom had her heart set on this PINK .22 Taurus semi-auto that she saw at the gun show where Dad picked up his Judge & my Mossberg but Dad wasn't having it. First of all it was smaller than my iPhone & Mom already has a .32 semi that fits in her purse; second Dad said "I'm not buying a PINK handgun unless Jesus himself is standing next to me on Judgement Day and he says I have to!" Roll

I wasn't paying much attention to shooting & firearms when I was married... let's just say that this year my interest has perked up quite a bit. nod Next step is making time for the range, once a month at least, twice if I can afford it... Scratchchin
