Can never carry too many guns! Well, you can, but you get the idea.
I'd love to pick up a nice Springfield 1911 .45 one day, but the 10/22 and AR-15 are on the top of my list at the moment. Guns and ammo just keep going up, so I figured they're worthwhile investments.
They're all in the safes.

Right now I'm carrying my Ruger LCP in my robe. My droid is in the other pocket. I'll tell you what OP.... if someone barges in here right now demanding to rape my wife, kidnap my kids, or feed my dogs, I'll call 911 using the droid in my left pocket instead of shooting them center mass they moment I think my family is in danger with the Ruger in my right pocket. Then I'm going to vote for Obama. How does that sound?

Also, you're naive if you think that guns are going to go away. People will just find other ways to kill people. That is the state of humanity. Guns are just a means to accomplish a goal - people will find a way.
Look at the UK where guns are banned completely: so instead, the youths go around in gangs shanking people with knives. If you want to stop people from killing each other, you got to find a way to end the reasons for killing each other.
I read, I take it all in, I learn, I research what I read, I listen the the expertise here, I soak it all in - and I relay the info - and my son by chance picked up a Mossberg 500 for a mere $100 - that needed a small fix - what freaking deal he got on that piece - hubby and he took it to the range to shoot it after it was fixed - and hubby said dayum - we need to get one of those
