("Sponsor"), and its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, franchisees, and advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to enter or win. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of any judges and/or Sponsor, which are binding and final on matters relating to the Sweepstakes (defined below). The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, territorial, municipal and local laws, rules, and regulations.

HOW IT WORKS/ENTRY: This Costa Rica Eco-Trip Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") promotion consists of one (1) Grand Prize drawing. The Sweepstakes starts 12:00:01 a.m. Central Time ("CT") on February 13, 2012 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. Central Time ("CT") on April 29, 2012.

A. To enter, you must visit www.DoubleTree.com/TheLorax (the "Site") between 12:00:01 a.m. CT on February 13, 2012 and by 11:59:59 p.m. CT on April 29, 2012 (the "Promotion Period"), and follow all instructions on the Site to register and receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes ("Online Entry"). If you are not an HHonors member, you can sign up for HHonors for free at www.DoubleTree.com/TheLorax and, in such case, your registration will serve as your entry, and you will receive your Online Entry. All answers you provide must be complete and accurate. Limit one (1) Online Entry per person.

B. After submitting an Online Entry, there are two (2) ways to earn additional entries in the Sweepstakes, which may only be earned if you have received an Online Entry (discussed above):

1. Hotel Stay Entry: During the Promotion Period, book and stay at any DoubleTree by Hilton™ hotel within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio (hotels within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio are subject to change at any time, without notice. Please visit www.hiltonhhonors.com, call 1-800-HHONORS or call your local Hilton Reservations and Customer Care office for a list of hotels within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio.) and receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes (a "Hotel Stay Entry") for each stay you complete and check out by 11:59:59 p.m. CT on April 29, 2012 subject to the Additional Entry Limit (defined below). To receive a Hotel Stay Entry for a qualifying hotel stay/checkout, entrant must provide hotel with his/her HHonors account number prior to checkout. Entrant will be deemed the individual named on the HHonors account and hotel reservation. An entrant will only receive only one (1) Hotel Stay Entry per stay completed/check out, regardless of number of rooms booked under entrant's name or the number of nights included in stay.

2. Postal/Mailed Entry: Handprint a 3" x 5" card with your name, complete mailing address, telephone number, valid email address and your Hilton HHonors Account Number, and mail in an envelope no larger than #10 (business-size envelope) with sufficient postage affixed, to: DoubleTree by Hilton™ Costa Rica Eco-Trip Sweepstakes, 7930 Jones Branch Drive, #1087G. McLean, VA 22102. All information must be included and must be accurate and legible (as solely determined by Sponsor). Limit one (1) 3" x 5" card per envelope. Envelopes must be postmarked by April 29, 2012 to be included in the Grand Prize drawing. For each completed 3" x 5" card timely received, the listed HHonors account holder will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes (a "Postal/Mailed Entry") subject to the Additional Entry Limit (defined below).

The total combined Hotel Stay Entries and Postal/Mailed Entries for any entrant may not exceed a total of seventy-seven (77) entries (the "Additional Entry Limit"). To the extent that any entrants exceeds seventy-seven (77) total combined Hotel Stay Entries and Postal/Mailed Entries, the excess entries shall not be eligible for entry into Sweepstakes Entrants suspected of using macro, script or other forms of automatic entry and entries which subvert the entry process (within the sole determination of Sponsor) may be disqualified at Sponsor's discretion. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. No entries may be submitted on behalf of another person.

RANDOM DRAWING: The Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing during or around the week of May 14, 2012 from among all eligible entries (i.e., Online Entries, Hotel Stay Entries, Postal/Mailed Entries) received throughout the promotion. Odds of winning the Grand Prize depend upon the number of eligible entries received throughout the promotion.

WINNER NOTIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS: If a potential winner is a resident of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico, the winner will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability and, if legally permissible, a Publicity Release within 15 days of attempted delivery of same. Noncompliance within this time period or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification without further notice and an alternate winner may be selected. In order to win a prize, residents of Canada must correctly answer an arithmetical skill-testing question, and will be required to execute a Declaration and Release Form to release Sponsor and its agencies and representatives from liability with respect to contests and prizes, within 15 days of attempted delivery of same. Noncompliance within this time period or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable will result, at Sponsor's discretion, in disqualification/prize forfeiture without further notice and an alternate winner may be selected.

PRIZES & APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES ("ARV"):
Winner will receive a 5-day/4-night trip for 4 to the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Central Pacific-Costa Rica, including round-trip economy cabin air transportation for four people from major airport nearest winner's residence, hotel accommodations, airport transfers and one activity arranged by the hotel. (ARV: $6,000).

Actual retail value varies and depends on location of winner's residence and dates of travel. Any difference between actual value and stated ARV will not be awarded. All travel arrangements must be made through DoubleTree by Hilton as Sponsor instructs the winner. The Grand Prize is subject to the award carrier's terms and conditions, including without limitation black-out dates, travel restrictions, airline carrier restrictions, and hotel's "all-inclusive" offerings and rules. The provided airfare and hotel accommodations will consist of coach-class airfare between a major airport near Winner and a major airport near Costa Rica destination, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, and standard double-occupancy hotel accommodations or, subject to Sponsor's discretion and availability, a two-room suite for winner for up to four (4) nights. The dates of all travel and lodging accommodations will be arranged by Sponsor and are within its sole discretion. Additional travel costs, tax, gratuity, meals (outside of the hotel's "all inclusive" offerings), room service, souvenirs, security fees, gratuities, luggage fees, meals, ground transportation (except for airport transfers), incidental charges and any other additional costs or expenses (e.g., room service, wi-fi, meals, spa, room upgrades) not specifically stated herein are the sole responsibility of the winner and travel companions. Winner and travel companions must travel together on same itinerary. Trip must be reserved sixty (60) days in advance and must be completed within one (1) year of notification or prize shall be forfeited and Sponsor shall have no further obligation to winner. Hotel accommodations are subject to availability. If accommodations are not available during the winner's selected dates, winner must choose travel dates during which the hotel has available accommodations. Winner and travel companion must possess and show valid travel documents prior to departure (valid photo ID, etc.). If travel companion is a minor, s/he must be the child or legal ward of the winner. Travel companions (and, if applicable, their parents or guardians) must sign a liability/publicity release prior to ticketing. Once airline tickets have been ticketed, no changes will be permitted. Sponsor will determine airline, airports and flight itinerary in its sole discretion. Travel restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply. Sponsor will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets or travel vouchers.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for adverse circumstances beyond their reasonable control including lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, stolen, misdirected, undelivered, or garbled hotel stay data, emails, postal/mailed or online entries; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind beyond their reasonable control whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of completed stays or entries, the announcement of the prizes or in any Sweepstakes-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading materials from or use of the web site. Proof of submitting entries will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Promotion or website or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes at any time and for any reason arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to, should any portion of the Sweepstakes be, in Sponsor's sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries. If terminated, Sponsor, at its discretion, may select the potential winners from all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to action taken or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Sweepstakes or any related website or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL & CIVIL LAWS. SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY AND/OR SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY INDIVIDUAL MAKING ANY SUCH ATTEMPTS TO THE FULL EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither the Sponsor or any of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, franchisees or advertising and promotion agencies or prize suppliers or any of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, "Released Parties") will have any liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless (or, if applicable, reimbursed) by entrants from , any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize (including without limitation any travel or activity related thereto) or participation in this Sweepstakes. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded.

GRANT OF PUBLICITY: Each winner, by acceptance of prize, except where legally prohibited, grants permission for Sponsor and its licensees to use his/her name, address (city and state), photograph, voice and/or other likeness and prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes relating to this Sweepstakes without further compensation, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide in perpetuity, and without notice or review or approval, or compensation. Submission of contact information in connection with this Sweepstakes (whether or not required), including mailing address, phone number, and email address during entry constitutes permission for Sponsor to add entrant to Sponsor's customer database and to contact entrant in the future for promotional and other reasons. You may opt-out of receiving such communications as set forth in Sponsor's Privacy Policy, located at http://www1.hilton.com/en_US/hi/c...-policy.do.

GOVERNING LAW/JURISDICTION: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules or the rights and obligations of participants or Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the state of New York, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other state laws. Claims may not be resolved through any form of class action. Venue for all suits will be in the Eastern District of Virginia or, if there is no federal jurisdiction, Fairfax County, Virginia. Valid except in case of application of national mandatory legal provisions which would be more protective for the entrant, in which case the relevant national Courts of the entrant will have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to all matters relating to this promotion.

SEVERABILITY: If any provision(s) of these Official Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.
