Won iPad 1 in a sweepstake. Skipped on iPad 2. Ordered the 3rd gen today. Black/WiFi/32GB. Cannot wait to start touching it. Big Grin

Oooo I'm really tempted to pre-order, in fact I'm choosing my engraving right now. Wife and I have been discussing getting a tablet for a while now... Argh 500 bucks though. We've never had a tablet, although I did have a second gen ipod touch at one time. Are they the same as far as available games and such? I used to love playing word games on there with friends.

1. Don't engrave if you plan on reselling at any point...

2. A 2nd Gen iPod Touch and "new" iPad are not even comparable. A world of difference between the two. The games are all infinitely better.

For our sake, I hope ur not spending $500 on a device to play word games. Do you even know why you want it?

For me, I can't see myself with a tablet. My laptop is infinitely more powerful/useful. It's practically always on. I never shut it down, always stand-by. Combined with a 160GB corsair SSD, the battery last 9hrs when doing simple browsing and easily 6hrs on other things.
