Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

thanks but i'll just use it as is. Daughter is coming over this evening and we are goin to mess with the pc open up the back and see if the fan went, which I think maybe the problem also i gues it could be the battery on the mother board. hopefully can get my nephew to come look at it.

The battery is pretty much to keep the clock aurate when the pc is powered down. If its the fan most cost $25-$$30. Take it off and put it back on . Very easy to do. Dont be intimidated. You cant screw it up. Might need to blow the dust out while its open too. Amazing how much gets in there no matter how much you clean your house!!! Try to baby it along cause PC's are going to drop drastically in price over the next year. New advances are starting to come out. I'a not putting any more money into mine and I hope it will last until the new wave of PC's have started coming down in price. Some have no monitor. It projects the image onto the wall and you can make it as big as you want to see the letters!! Also going to crystal based memory and will be supposedly up to 100 times faster than it is now. I love it when technology makes giant leaps but some might take getting used to (not the speed lol)

The battery runs the PC clock and the only other thing it does is to power your BIOS. If your start-up is acting erratically OR your clock is not keeping time, you need a new battery. It does not effect any other functions on your PC.

I could not get into the funnyfarm. slickdeals kept giving me a message that there was an error in their data base. I panicked. last night i could not get on but no message like that. did anyone else have trouble?
