Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

Right - as a kid we would open the part with the seed, they were kinda sticky, and stick them on our noses, hence "pollynoses". Those are what must have seeded the yard with hundreds of little trees now. I just realized, I have a really big oak and that has the acorns. The maple is right next to it so they are maple trees. Does not matter, baby trees are baby trees I guess.

I have 2 red maples in the front which I keep trimming and I only allow them to get about 12ft high or so. they do not drop anything except leaves in the fall. One was not supposed to be in the front. I was by the water near the bulkhead and when I had the bulkhead redone we transplanted it "temporarily" in the front, but then the bulkheader disappeared for a long time and I had to get another one and the tree rooted itself so much that I did not want to move it. Therefore, 2 red maples in the front and a small Japanese red maple, with frail thin leaves. I keep that low and it spreads sideways.
