begins at noon EST on 4/16/12 and ends at noon EST on 7/2/12 (the "Contest Period").
open only to residents of the forty-eight (48) contiguous United States (excluding residents of Alaska and Hawaii) and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry.
1) name of your recipe; 2) list of recipe ingredients, including exact U.S. measurements for each ingredient (in 400 characters or less); one of the ingredients must be Arnold/Brownberry/Oroweat bread or Sandwich Thins ® rolls; and 3) preparation instructions (in 500 characters or less) (collectively, each, an "Entry"). You have the option of submitting a photo of your recipe/sandwich creation, however, providing such optional photo will not increase your chances of winning.
Limit one (1) entry per Facebook User ID per day. For the purposes of this Contest, a day is defined as the 24-hour period starting at 12:01 AM EST and ending at 11:59 PM EST.
JUDGING: All eligible Entries received will be preliminarily judged by a Sponsor-appointed panel of judges to determine the top five (5) Entries (each, a "potential winner"). The top five (5) Entries will then be judged by Misty May-Treanor to determine the order of the potential winners. All judging will be based on the following criteria: Originality and Creativity of Recipe– 50%; Health and Nutrition incorporated in Recipe – 25%; Overall Appeal of the Recipe – 25%. In the event of a tie, tied entries will be broken based on the highest score received in the Originality and Creativity of Recipe criterion.
PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE ("ARV"):
Grand Prize (1) – Winner will receive a 3-day/2-night trip for two (2) to Los Angeles, CA & a volleyball clinic and lunch with Misty May-Treanor for winner and guest. In addition to the clinic and lunch, prize includes round-trip coach air transportation from major U.S. gateway airport nearest winner's home, 2-nights hotel accommodations (one (1) room, double occupancy). If winner resides within a 100-mile radius of destination, ground transportation will be provided in lieu of air transportation and no compensation or substitution will be provided in lieu thereof (ARV: $5,000.00). If a minor is selected as a traveling companion, Grand Prize winner must be his/her parent/legal guardian and must sign Release of Liability on minor's behalf. All travelers must possess required travel documents (e.g., valid photo ID) prior to departure. Travel must be completed by December 31, 2012
