Petsmart® 25th Anniversary Sweepstakes & IWG ~ 8/18/12

Promotion consists of an Instant Win Game and a Sweepstakes. The Promotion will begin on 06/18/12 at 12:00:01 am Eastern Daylight Time ("EDT") and end on 08/18/12 at 11:59:59 pm EDT.

Open only to residents currently residing in the United States (including DC), Puerto Rico, or Canada (excluding Quebec), who are at least eighteen (18) years of age (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence) as of the date of their play/entry.

INSTANT WIN GAME - HOW TO PLAY: To play the Instant Win Game, during the Promotion Period, visit http://sweepstakes.petsmart.com/, complete all required registration information to create an account, which will include creating a password (or logging in via Facebook Connect), and submit the Instant Win Game registration form. Once submitted, follow the on-screen instructions to play the Instant Win Game.

SWEEPSTAKES – HOW TO ENTER: There are three (3) ways to enter the Sweepstakes, as detailed below: (a) a purchase method of entry; (b) a non-purchase method of entry; and (c) by playing the Instant Win Game. Non-Purchase entries and purchase entries have an equal chance of winning.

A) Purchase Method – If you are an existing member of the PetPerks loyalty program, subject to the following sentence, you will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes random drawing each time you make an in-store purchase at any PetSmart store, or an online purchase at www.PetSmart.com, during the Promotion Period (subject to the above detailed entry limitation).

B) Non-Purchase Method – If you do not wish to become a member of PetPerks or make an eligible purchase, you will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes Drawing, each time you, during the Promotion Period, visit www.sweepstakes.petsmart.com/alternate (the "AMOE Microsite"), complete the online registration form and click on the "Submit" button.

C) Instant Win Game Method – You will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes Drawing each time you play the Instant Win Game, regardless of the outcome, during the Promotion Period.

Limit – each registrant may play the Instant Win Game one (1) time per day, throughout the Promotion Period.

There is a limit of one (1) Sweepstakes entry per person, per week, throughout the Promotion Period, regardless of if they enter via the purchase method of entry or the non-purchase method of entry. Further, there is a limit of one (1) entry per person, per day, via the Instant Win Game method of entry. For the purposes of this Promotion a "week" is defined as 12:00:01 am EDT Monday to 11:59:59 pm EDT Sunday.

INSTANT PRIZES/INSTANT COUPON OFFERS: As detailed in the Instant Prize and Instant Coupon Offer Charts below, a computer-generated algorithm will spread 1,550 Instant Prizes throughout the Promotion Period (25 per day) as well as 15,500 Instant Coupon Offers throughout the Promotion Period (250 per day).

GRAND PRIZE EVENT: The Grand Prize Winner must participate personally in the Grand Prize Event (unless Sponsor agrees otherwise). A family member or other representative may not participate for the Grand Prize Winner (unless Sponsor agrees otherwise). The Grand Prize Event will take place in 3.5 aisles of a PetSmart store of Sponsor's selection, in or around Los Angeles. Representatives of Sponsor will randomly place two thousand (2,000) sealed envelopes that will be numbered 1-2,000 on various shelves in the 3.5 aisles. The Grand Prize winner can start anywhere they would like inside the 3.5 aisles. Once the "starting buzzer" sounds, the Grand Prize winner will have thirty (30) seconds to go through the 3.5 aisles and select/pick-up as many of the two thousand (2,000) envelopes as they can, and place the envelopes into his/her shopping cart. Once the "ending buzzer" sounds, the Grand Prize winner can not select/pick-up anymore envelopes, however, the envelopes that are in his/her hand can be placed into his/her shopping cart and will count. At the end of the allotted time, the Grand Prize winner will open each envelope that is in their cart to see if they have the one (1) winning envelope (the "Winning Envelope") in their cart. There is one (1) Winning Envelope and one thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine (1,999) non-winning envelopes (the "Non-Winning Envelope(s)"). If, at the end of the allotted time, the Grand Prize winner has the Winning Envelope in his/her cart and opens it up, he/she will receive one (1) check for two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($250,000). If, at the end of the allotted time, the Grand Prize winner does not have the Winning Envelope in his/her cart, he/she will not win the two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($250,000), but will still receive one (1) check for twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). Further, regardless of whether or not the Grand Prize winner had the Winning Envelope in his/her cart at the end of the allotted time, the Non-Winning Envelopes that the Grand Prize winner had in his/her cart and opened up may contain small consolation prizes written inside them, and the Grand Prize winner will receive those consolation prizes as well. The $250,000 Grand Prize, if won, is funded through prize insurance and will not be awarded if the Grand Prize winner does not strictly comply with all requirements stated in these Official Rules. The odds of winning the $250,000 in the Grand Prize Event are dependent upon the number of envelopes the contestant can pick up in the allotted thirty (30) seconds; however, the approximate odds of winning are 1:33 based on the number of envelopes a 'typical' person could pick up in the allotted thirty (30) seconds.

The total ARV of all prizes (including Instant Coupon Offers) awarded in this Promotion is a minimum of $144,744.50 and a maximum of $369,744.50. All prize (including Instant Coupon Offer) values are in $USD. There is a limit of one (1) Sweepstakes Drawing prize per person/household, regardless of email address used.

Actual value of the Grand Prize will depend on the city of departure, time of travel, any airfare fluctuations and on current market conditions at time of Grand Prize fulfillment, and any difference between the stated ARV and the actual value of the Grand Prize, if any, will not be awarded, except at Sponsor's sole discretion. Travel arrangements will be made through the travel coordinator designated by Sponsor. The selection of the date for the Grand Prize trip is dependent on air/hotel availability, holiday and blackout dates, and the availability of venue, celebrity and PetSmart personnel. The Grand Prize trip is currently scheduled to take place from 9/18/12 – 9/20/12, however, Sponsor reserves the right to change the date(s) of the Grand Prize Trip/Event. Promotion Entities shall not be liable for any loss or damage to personal items or baggage. Grand Prize. Winner and his/her respective guest are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary and required travel documents (e.g., valid government-issued photo ID, passport, etc.) and insurance. All airline tickets issued in conjunction with Grand Prize are not eligible for frequent flyer miles, and no code-share flights may be used. Grand Prize components cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer, and no portion may be separated except at Sponsor's sole discretion. Grand Prize Winner and guest must have valid photo identification, passport (if necessary) and a credit card in his/her name. The Grand Prize trip does not include taxes, insurance, travel protection plans, meals, tips, telephone charges, personal expenses, gratuities, incidental charges, or any other items not specifically described in these Rules, and all expenses for any of the foregoing are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner and/or his/her respective guest. One or more stopovers may be required on air transportation. Grand Prize Winner and his/her respective guest must travel together at the same time on the same itinerary. Air transportation and hotel accommodations must be taken together and cannot be taken separately, except at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Once trip dates have been booked, no change, extension or substitution of trip dates is permitted, except at Sponsor's sole discretion. Grand Prize Winner's travel companion must be eighteen (18) years of age or older (unless Grand Prize Winner is travel companion's legal guardian and Sponsor approves such) and must sign a release of liability prior to traveling. No extension or change of trip dates permitted, except at Sponsor's discretion. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen tickets, travel vouchers, certificates or similar items once they are in Grand Prize Winner's possession, or in the possession of Grand Prize winner's guest. Promotion Entities shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitution, or any act or omissions whatsoever by the air carriers, hotels or other transportation companies, or any other persons providing any of these services and accommodations to passengers, including any results thereof such as changes in services or accommodations necessitated by same. If any portion of the Grand Prize is unable to take place as planned, or be awarded, for any reason, including but not limited to, cancellation, scheduling conflicts, an event of force majeure, or no driver's license for a rental car, then (a) that portion of the prize will be forfeited, (b) the remaining components of the prize will be awarded, (c) Sponsor's obligation to the winner will be fulfilled, and (d) no other additional compensation will be provided. For the avoidance of doubt, in the event the Grand Prize Winner does not participate in the Grand Prize Event, the Grand Prize Winner will not have the chance to win the $250,000 and will not receive the check for $25,000. Grand Prize Winner must be available to travel on dates selected by Sponsor (The Grand Prize trip is currently scheduled to take place from 9/18/12 – 9/20/12, however, Sponsor reserves the right to change the date(s) of the Grand Prize Trip/Event. In the event Grand Prize Winner lives within 200 miles of Los Angeles, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute ground transportation for air transportation and no additional compensation will be awarded. Noncompliance with these Rules, failure to return any documents within the time specified, failure to respond to notification attempts, or returns of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate potential winner may be selected. Any and all guarantees, conditions and warranties on prizes, express or implied, are subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions, and winners agree to look solely to said manufacturers for any such warranty, condition or guarantee claim. The prize conditions stated herein are not all-inclusive and may be subject to additional conditions, which may be stated at a later time. Please allow up to 4-6 weeks after the Promotion Period to receive an Instant Prize or Sweepstakes Drawing prize. Restrictions and an expiration dates may, where permitted by law, apply to gift cards/gift certificates and/or Instant Coupon Offers. In the event a winner of a gift card prize resides within Canada, said Gift Card or Gift Certificate may be provided in Canadian Dollars (if possible), according to the exchange rate from the USD prize value at the time the prize is awarded, as determined by the Sponsor.
