PET Scan - & Yes I'm Going to Beat This !!!

I'm going to have a PET Scan done, and they gave me a list prior to the night before of what I can and cannot eat. Has anyone ever had a PET Scan done before?
I'm curious as this list of what I'm able to eat and not able to eat is rather odd to say the least.
The evening prior to the study eat a meal that is high in protein, such as fish, meat, chicken and eggs. Do not have any bread, pasta, rice or starches such as corn and potato's. Do not eat foods that are high in sugar content, such as desserts. Only green vegetables are acceptable. I'm able to drink plain water plain water after midnight, and the morning of the test.
So I'm trying to figure out with fish, meat and/or chicken - what I am able to add to a meal the night before
right now - maybe because my mind is a little boggled with everything I'm going through - and I'm trying to prepare ahead of time for this, to get the right foods in the house. I have meat and/or chicken to make the night before. The only thing I can think to add to this is a large salad (for greens only) but would have to leave off many of the usual things they put into the salad where I would normally order this from, onions, tomato's, crouton's, cheese, etc. So I guess I would need to ask for just a plain salad with cucumbers in it, as those are the only "green item" they put in the salad, unless they have broccoli which they could add as another "green item".
I don't eat peas, asparagus, or things like that
So any suggestions for me?
Anyone been through a PET Scan, and had to follow this dietary restriction before?
I've read up on what it's all about and what they will do that morning, putting the dye into me, to see what "lights up" - so I get it, and understand that certain foods will give a false positive on this - hence the restrictions.
Help would truly be appreciated

Good luck tomorrow, I am thinking if you!!!!
Thank you Finzzy
Pray that I pull out that ACE today on the results, that is what I'm looking for, something good in the ways of news; a glimmer of hope today; and I'm going in with an ACE and throwing it down, saying ACE's high today !!!
It will be later this evening that I'll be back with an update on this, once I wake up from being tired from being put under after getting home.

Now if only time would fly today
I really would like something to drink right now
The cursory search I did on "cachexia" made me think it is one of those catchall medical terms like "bronchitis" or "ibs". Sort of a "I don't know what the heck is going on but I gotta call it something" terms. More of a symptom definition rather than a diagnosis.
Of course I am frequently wrong.
Just think of this, whatever it is, as the city nincompoops who took 11 years to get that visual obstruction removed by the mall. If you do that, you will beat it into submission. That much I do know.
You WILL beat this into submission
So, I called the Mayo Clinic in MN. I spoke the receptionist at the research dept. Nobody was available at the time to ask specifics about any trials that may be going at the time. I did see in a Google seach that they have done studies/trials in the past for cachexia. She was helpful in that she gave me the website that shows current and past clinical trials everywhere. Here is the link of current interest. I hope and

I know you will update when you are able to.
XOXO
I went in with Ace's down and came out with Ace's HIGH
No stomach cancer was found ****whew****, as that would have been the nail
in the coffin here, literally with all this going on. They did about 10 biopsy's and
it will take 7-10 days to get the results back. So we still do NOT have any answers
as to why I'm continuing to lose weight. This Endoscope resulted in no answers for
that at all, unless the biopsy's show something.
So "cachexia" seems to have a lot of impact here right now, as this progresses along,
and now we shall await Monday for the PET Scan.
This was a huge relief today for myself and my husband, to get the above news.
I do plan on fighting this all the way
if one wants to call it that with the doctor today before being put under, about not following
my directives, to copy all the other doctors. Let's just say it got "heated", the discussion,
and I finally said "ENOUGH" and let's move this forward, put me under and get this done !!!!
Needless to say, doctor's don't like being called out on their mistakes, but tough shit, this
is my life, my medical well being, and you missed a big step; an important step in this process.
Oh, please don't try to push your work onto me either, as you suggested, I'm the patient, you are
the doctor; this is your job; and I'm amazed you even suggested that I take the results from today
and send them to all the other doctor's
So imagine how it felt, to be delayed in the pre-op area for over 1-1/2 hrs, then go into the operating
area, only to get into a "discussion" before being put under, and have a doctor tell you as the patient,
you should relay reports to other doctors - like hell !!!!!
One doctor told me from the beginning, do not let these doctor's walk all over you, and today I did not. I've known this doctor for 22 yrs,
treating me; he made the mistake, and finally owned up to it at the end.
But damn, this was not a pleasant experience today with all this bullshit.
The results are fabulous at this point
Thank you everyone for the prayers, I believe in prayers, faith, and holding strong; and I truly believe
this affects the outcome. I also believed they were wrong on this diagnosis, which is why I kept saying
I was going in with Ace's High !!!! Intuition and gut instinct certainly can beat out a doctor's "theory" any day, in my mind
It's going to be a beautiful weekend to go boating
