i could have placed just 2 orders at express Facepalm not only would i have gotten a better deal, i could have been less obvious too shake head

hahaha awwww. it's ok... i'm sure there weren't many ppl stalking the express site other than us! laugh out loud

i just placed another order for a clearance dress. it's like a disorder... now i will have like 4 packages arriving at work from express, around the same time. i was trying to avoid that...

On a totally different topic from what we usually discuss, anyone have any suggestions for Halloween costumes utilizing real clothing? I don't want to buy costumes. Clothes that we can wear later are a better investment. We can add makeup, accessories, etc. to that. I don't want anything risque. We'll be on our cruise over Halloween. I want my DH & I to have costumes in the same theme. Any suggestions?

how about bonnie and clyde? or something where you suit up? something else i've seen is a sports ref or something.

hmmm that is a good point. i gave them my card this time. prior to that, i'm not really sure - i think i've done both. that could be the issue!

I think an easy to pull off one would be a spy. Maybe something like Angelina Jolie from Salt. I just used cargo pants I already have, some high heeled knee-high boots, a black tank or t-shirt with a trench coat over. Of course, stuff the pants in the boots. I just had to buy a wig, which was about $20 around the time of Halloween so if you find it now, it might be cheaper.

BTW - I like your jewelry choices. But I don't have any input because I don't really wear costume jewelry. The pieces I choose are all more on the delicate side and I don't know what to do with large pieces. Especially braclets because my wrists are so small that most of Express' fall right off. I've found one cute black rhinestone one in store that didn't. Personally, if it were me, I'd go with something subtle to complement, not to scream.

I never would have thought of Bonnie & Clyde. I'll look for some images to see if we can pull that off. I don't even remember how they dressed. In my younger years, I was a basketball ref. During this time, I found out I had arthritis & eventually had to quit. Frown I already have that outfit. laugh out loud

Yes, I've been shopping for my cruise forever. That's the excuse I use anyway. Facepalm I already have more dresses than I need, but I'm still looking for me. My packing list will probably change many times as new merchandise is released. Teehee I've been telling my DH he needs to go to Express to try on some clothes, so I can start shopping for him too. If I don't have someone else to shop for, I'm going to have more clothes than I will ever wear. Embarrassment

Thanks for the costume suggestion. I'll give it some thought. Unfortunately, I don't have high boots. I don't really have any place to wear them.

We seem to have very similar taste. I like feminine, elegant jewelry. My sisters, nieces, & the girls on here have convinced me that I need to expand my horizons & be more stylish. Stick Out Tongue My MIL keeps up with styles & trends better than I do. Blush

GH- Last year DH and I went as Sandy & Danny from Grease. It was super easy. All you need is a black pencil skirt and some type of blouse with a pink jacket over it. (I found a jacket for like $25 at charlotte russe.) You can wear your hair in a high pony with a scarf tied around it. DH wore jeans and I used iron on letters to write "T Birds" on the back of a solid black Hanes tee shirt. He could wear a leather jacket too, if he has one.
