Coming here to report a fantastic experience for the SoCal girls at the Punete Hills VS. I was able to combine $15 off DA bra from PBOS, plus the $10 off bra from the mailer plus $20 RC. Got DA bra for $7 plus the free panty and free BR.

The SA didn't know if she could combine for me, but asked her manager, Melissa, who said yes. Melissa is relatively new, about 6 months or so? But I her! Every time I've had to talk to her questions or an issue, she was fantastic. I guess they got rid of some of the other managers, but she's great! She even showed me the bra on herself that she was wearing! But it was nice of her to try and push the new BBV on me.

Flames! It has arrived. The Very Sexy Long Tropical Print Gown is in my possession. It is sheer. I do not think I knew that. I could probably wear a Small. The back where the strings are hanging is adjustable. There is extra fabric in the front to fold inside over the breast and in the back to fold inside over the butt. It is a little big in the back, but my crack is not showing unless I pull it down. The fishtail is not as long (dramatic) as I had hoped. I actually do not like the print. When I was wearing it, I wondered when the opportunity to wear it would present itself.

Thanks, I'll try my best. Does it make sense that I think the organizer was way too nice- now that we are going into this without having our blowout and subsequent make-up? Hard to call this one.

I see your view. For some people, their friends are much more important/valuable than their family. Unless I became close to the groom's sister while we were dating, I would not have her as a BM. I would not care who did not like it, his mother or his sister. That is who I am. All the time. But I do see your point.

i really despise flowers in non-flower colors. i think grey flowers are extremely ugly (and they look like death ). i also do not like green or blue flowers, even though i love those colors. i guess i'm weird and conservative in that sense. it's okay - grey will just be less pronounced - i was having inner conflicts anyway, because the inside of the mansion we're using is dark wood (as in, even the walls are wood) which clashes with charcoal imo. it's really not a big deal.

i feel bad for friends having to pay to be in my wedding. i know they don't mind it, but i still feel bad about it. i'm lucky that the friends that are in our wedding are all not struggling for money, but one friend didn't make it to my bachelorette and i think it was mostly a money issue. i felt bad about that - i have a lot of friends that aren't local and they will be travelling just to be here for the wedding. it's sad that they won't be able to attend the other events. i even opted for a cheaper bachelorette by doing it in vegas - the flight isn't bad coming from LA, and clubbing was free. we didn't eat at pricey restaurants, and brought our own alcohol, so i hope it wasn't *too* much for friends to pay. i bought the girls' dresses and will be paying for hair/makeup because i would have felt bad if they had to pay for that AND the bachelorette and shower, considering how much people spend on these things. i know a friend who was in a wedding (very fancy one) where the bachelorette was in ny. they ended up spending 1k each on it.

Hm....why doesn't VS carry all the same prints from instore and online? One of the prettiest Angels push up bras I tried on in store was sooo pretty. I usually don't go for prints or multi-colored lace, but I debated it. The details were so intricate. It was $62 though, and I didn't know if my coupons could combine...and there were stains on the strap.

Lo and behold, it's not sold online. Why?! I guess I have to stalk online incase they put out any colors or prints for fall.


I wouldn't like games or strippers either. I guess I will be having a really boring one!

It's not really how much people pay on their weddings that surprise me. It's how much the friends have to pay that I'm shocked by. . .

I think I want a Vegas wedding someday. I'm really not much of a planning person, so I think the stress of planning a big wedding would really freak me out. I always sort of thought that maybe if I decided that I missed out on a big wedding, I could throw a really big first anniversary party. I've heard of people doing that. Perhaps that would be the best of both world. Who knows what will happen. Right now, I just want to get through my Ph.D.

Oh, and I also HATE showers. I hate the stupid games, little prizes, and gossip. I hope I do not have to have a shower...

I missed a Nerdicus post I think, my - smiley on inviting f-SIL to the 'rette party was b/c I thought it was shameful that MIL should have to make sure her DD is included in any part of the wedding process. I guess content-wise, it could be wonky since it's her brother , probably very situation-dependent. I invited my SIL, whom I'm not close to and she did the right thing and opted out

If it were a good friend of mine, I think I'd consider the following a little excessive, but just the cost of doing business. Since it's not... it's all excessive

Hotel $300 (we were REQUIRED to stay on site, even tho the next option was 0.5 miles away and half the price), since DH is in it too- that's $600 since we won't be splitting the bill with anyone, 1 bed per teeny room - not even an option.
Bachy Party: $300
Travel: $150 in gas each trip (B-party, wedding)

Awww, sorry to hear you didn't like the Tropical Gown as much. I think it would be great to wear on vacation to Hawaii or something. I think the back is low on purpose to show off the small of the back Will you be returning it? I really wished they still had some S in stock! I'm sure it looks good on you

I don't think I would even invite my cousins or second cousins. And personally, of the cousins and Aunts I would invite, I don't care if the others get butt-hurt or jealous. I feel like the close friends will always be there. Just need to make the effort to keep the relationship good.

I just went to a wedding of 300+ people, 85% all family. That would not be my wedding...because something like that seems just so meaningless..how can you get around to all those people?
