laugh out loud didn't realize how spoiled my oldest sister is for having househelp -- she doesn't know how to wash clothes in the washing machine. first put detergent the wrong way (on top of clothes), which is forgivable, i think this is a common error. but during the cycle, she asked when to put the fabric softener shake head

I have a bachelorette party to go to this weekend, and the theme is "sparkles." What do you guys usually give for bachelorette parties? What is a good amount to spend on a gift? I've never been to one before, but all of a sudden, I will have like 6 this year. All of my friends waited to get married, but they're all getting married all at once

That's good to know. I'm not really helping to pay for it, just paying my own way, which is about $100. She's a good friend, but not like my best friend or anything. During SAS, for 75%, I bought a few of the seduction sets (with flavored icing and kissable massage lotion). I was thinking about one of those sets ($15 MSRP) and one of the lacies. Does that sound reasonable?

I agree with Nerdie. Chances are you'll be buying her a few drinks and you likely had to chip in for limo/ hotel/ dinner, etc. In the past I have given the bride a bridal panty from VS, but I don't feel obligated to give much more than that. Or maybe a bottle of wine?

Which sequin dress did you want? The pretty dresses & jewelry do disappear quickly. Some of the dresses are new to me. I never saw them on the site. I wish someone would buy the dresses that have been on there forever, so we wouldn't have to weed through them every time. laugh out loud

I wanted this black sequin dress that was just pure black. It was all sequins, and I think originally, it was like $129. They had it online this morning (in all sizes), but when I went to check it out, it was gone. It's the pure sequin one, not the "embellished" sequin one where the sequins are just strategically placed and look sort of like snakes. It was $29.99 - 40% = $18 earlier today. If you see it today or tomorrow, jump on it, but otherwise, it probably wouldn't get to me in time.

I'd wear it for the bachelorette party for $18. Otherwise, I'll wear another dress. I have this gold dress that I wore to the playboy New Year's Eve party a few years ago that went over pretty well. It doesn't "sparkle," but it's bright gold, so I think it counts.

Express is such a tease! I've never even SEEN sale jewelry.
