Thanks girl. We don't get sick days at work. How much BS is that? I've been working there full time + on call 24/7 every other week for 3 years and we get no sick days. I hit 3 years on August 13th so I get 10 days of vacation time then, but yeah.

I went to an Urgent Care today because I woke up and felt like I was going to die. I STILL have a fever of 102 and I took tylenol only a little over 3 hours ago. I just got back from the urgent care and they were fabulous. They are pretty sure I have sever strep so it's now had FIVE DAYS to keep getting worse in my system. Oh joy. They gave me a shot of steroids hoping it helps open up my throat and quell the swelling and fight off anything that may be viral. They also gave me a 10 day supply of Suprax, so hopefully whatever this is starts to die off before I do!

I'm heading off to sleep some more. I'd give anything to hold the little one right now!

OTOH, if I have to stay home on Monday too I get my VS packages early!! laugh out loud

looking at photos from vegas in that dress, i think my issue is, it's a little light on me to be a nude dress. it's also not as flattering bc it doesn't cinch my waist, and the metallic layer under the lace is reflective and imo it makes my tummy look rounder. i know i'm being overly critical, but i honestly think i looked better in my teeny teal dress from forever 21 (the photos i showed you). maybe i need this one [express.com] instead bc it's darker and may match my skintone more...? tho i feel like that one may be darker than me. where is the nude dress for medium-skinned gals??

That teal dress was from F21? It looked great in that picture! I have the opposite problem with nude dresses. They're all too dark on me Frown

omg, i really hope you start feeling better soon!! i'm so sorry you're still so sick... but at least it looks like urgent care is helping you fight the strep finally! Comfort sleep it off... that always helps me when i'm sick.

it's the same style as this one [forever21.com], but not in that fake leather material. i was actually looking for this one [forever21.com] but didn't find it at my store and found the teal one instead. i was happy to get the teal one tho, bc i think teal may look better with my skintone, and it was also $8 cheaper, which is great considering i bought the dress specifically for the 1 occasion.

i also tried this one [forever21.com] on and while it was very flattering (only found M at my store but it worked fine - S might have been too tight) i thought it was too much skin to show. maybe if i were in my 20s still... laugh out loud but that is also a fabulous club dress. halters tend to look good on me because they balance my wide shoulders.

Thanks! I'm just trying so hard to stay away from DD right now. Breaks my heart I haven't held her since Wednesday AM. My fever is breaking right now so when it's done, in the shower and then in the bed I go. DH is wonderful, doing laundry and dishes and watching DD all weekend. heart

Off to rest ladies! As soon as I feel better I have some shopping to do Smilie

i think i may be able to wear a 2 in the nude dress. i am not wowed by it on me either but $128 for $24, i can't seem to pass. plus i don't have a light dress like that either. i don't know when i'd wear it, but i'm thinking i might just need this dress at some point, and regret if i return this awesome deal laugh out loud

Thanks, I knew you'd know what I was talking about. Teehee I don't think any dress could look better than the striped ruched dress. They really need to make more cut like that. I may be totally disappointed in the nude dress, but I think the color would look good on me. I already bought the silver dress that appears to change from silver to gold depending on lighting & background. I wish it was gold. Off white, beige, & gold look better on me than white & silver do.

I'm glad you had a better experience at Urgent Care. It sounds like the ER just ripped you off & did nothing. The steroids will make you feel much better. You'll be feeling like Superman in no time. Stick Out Tongue Hopefully, you have the right combo of meds to get rid of this soon. It would have been nice, if you could have gotten them the first time you saw a doctor. Annoyed

That teal dress did look great on you. You looked so young.

I'm putting together an order with the gold Metallic Ruched Dress now. The flowers are kind of iffy for me, but I want to at least try it. Now I need to find some other things to add to get my order up to $150. The only other thing I've found so far is a $19.90 skirt that I've been wanting to try.

I don't really want a dress that matches my skintone. I'm so fair skinned, I would be invisible. laugh out loud

Nope, no messages. The guy I talked to, Todd, said that they're just instructed by the Marketing Department to collect emails and then give it to them and they will send the emails later. Obviously they didn't plan this very well. Mad

I plan on writing a letter to the head of the ER there. I choose this hospital over others in the area as the staff are kind, the hospital is clean and there isn't normally much of a wait. I can understand that was out of their control, but the attitude of the doctor was unacceptable. Without getting into a political debate about healthcare, I don't feel like after paying that hospital over $2,000 already this year and having insurance and actually paying my bills that the treatment I received was acceptable. I got so frustrated that I asked the lady in the triage if they had an "I pay my bills and have insurance" express lane. She told me that would be discrimination. Facepalm The nurse then told me how many mothers bring their kids in for tylenol. TYLENOL. Because they don't want to buy it and they have to be seen in the ER for free.

I'll never go back unless I am bleeding to death. The urgent care informed me they have an EKG and all the other things necessary to stabilize someone whose heartrate is at 140. I just should have went there to begin with but figured since my heartrate was so high they would have transported me anyhow.I hate gambling on cardiac issues. The urgent care requires payment up front so there is never more than a couple people there and the staff is fabulous.

I am going to email the supervisor at the hospital. Even if they can just knock the pompous prick doctor I had down a few notches, my payment to the hospital will then be a contribution to society. (He was a young, know it all jerk who could NOT use a word with less than 8 letters.) When I told him I had a sore throat he corrected me with "pharyngitis." When I said I had sore joints he replied with "Arthralgia." I just wanted to look at him and be like, "Look asshole. I've been in the waiting room for SIX hours. I'm going to point at things and say ouch and you're supposed to nod and say OK and fix it. That is why you get paid"

Overall, I already am feeling a little better from the steroid shot. I can swallow some food and when I woke up from my nap I had a glass of chocolate milk with some fruit and it was wonderful. To be able to swallow some food and drink without feeling like I'm going to die is nice. It still hurts, but it is tolerable.

I just slept for like 3 hours! I felt a bit better when I woke up, the only bad thing is I keep getting SO sweaty and nasty while I am in bed so I have to keep changing the sheets which I hate doing laugh out loud It's definitely not a sound sleep as I was tossing and turning, but it gave the steroids some time to kick in. I'm normally not a medication person at all and I hate antibiotics too, but man, after 4 days of this crap getting worse something had to give, so glad I took the shot! Now I can catch up on the olympics!

Thank you Smilie The shot did help a lot already and I think some more rest and antibiotics and I should be good. So sick of being sick!
