Facepalm Oh my gawd. The bridal party just got an email with how much we owe them for the hotel we're being forced to stay in (DH and I owe $600 even with the groom staying with us 1 night) and ends with suggesting we bring cash to the rehearsal dinner to make check-splitting easier . . .

My daughter has been a bridesmaid in the weddings of 2 of her college roommates, one last year and one next weekend. I am amazed at the stuff that goes on, not by the bride but the maid of honor and other bridesmaids. Both times all the others in the bridal party were either close family or longtime friends (she is only out of college 3 years) but yet the others did not want to do anything. At a breakfast after the bachelorette party for the wedding last year, 2 skipped out early so they did not have to split the bill. EEK!EEK!

They want you to pay for your own meal at the rehearsal dinner? That's the first time I've ever heard anyone ask people to pay for their own food. I'd be embarrassed. If I couldn't afford to feed everybody at a restaurant, I'd cook a meal myself & serve them that. That's supposed to be the groom's parent's responsibility. Maybe, the bride didn't want to ask them to pay. It sounds like you're paying the groom's part of your room too. They certainly have a lot of nerve demanding so much money from someone who is doing them a favor. OMG

What do you all think about these shoes for my 1920's flapper costume? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/...PDKIKX0DER They don't look like the shoes I've seen from the 20's, but they're called flapper shoes. Dontknow Do you think they'll work? I want to get cheap shoes, because I'll probably only wear them once. I wouldn't wear the shoe style I associate with the 20's more than once either.

I would think any sort of a 'mary jane' style pump would work for a flapper costume!

I guess the vet had given her a shot, but messed up and she got an infection that they tried to pass off as a "spider bite" There was a huge bump on her back that welled up with puss or something and ever since then, she turned into the cat from hell shake head

BTW - I'm sure the bride will even appreciate it more that you went commando during her rehearsal dinner! LMAO Evil
